I have always loved Belks in Fla. but in Dothan AL. the store is a mess,dirty. The womens clothes and shoes are in shambles so bad that I straighten them. The cashier's are nice but they are overwhelmed. Your prices need to reflect the stores five and dime store appearance.Junked up and dirty does not reflect an upscale store .

I was shocked at how rudely I was treated by the manager of the ladies department. Belk has been my favorite store for ten years, but I cannot imagine a circumstance that would force me to shop there again.

These people are criminals. There’s a seemingly nice asian girl that worked at the cosmetics counter who lied about the original price of a bag being close to 500 when the original price was only 200 (the tag was conveniently missing) The bag was priced supposed to be marked down 60% but because she input the price so high we pretty much paid full price. Got a credit card to lower the price and payed on the card in full at the counter as well but the account for the card doesn’t reflect out payment on it. Waiting now to see if we will be forced to pay twice for this bag. I’ve never met such terrible people in my life.

If you’re like me and never heard of Belk before arriving to the area, let me explain. It’s a mix between Dillard’s and Kohls but a little more affordable (for some items). If you’re looking for bedding, kitchen utensils/sets, home decor, clothing, shoes, etc., give them a try!

Decent store, very tight. I had a double stroller and couldn't maneuver easily through the store. Looks clean. People at the makeup counter and the cologne areas are nice, but my experience with the rest of the store associates was mediocre.

Dothan mall is on its way out. However, I shopped in Belks. I waited outside a shut gate for 30 minutes till 11am. They opened the gate at 11:15. Got inside did a few minutes shopping and had my arms full then I started trying to pay for my goods. Asked one man standing not doing anything. He said our cashier doesn't arrive till 12. Sent me over to cosmetics to pay. The poor girl there had a crowd. I had to go pick up my car. I put my finds on a rack I would go pick up and possibly pay and take it home. I didn't make it back to the store. I did call and told a lady where my items were. SHE FOUND THEM. I have paid for them and hopefully they will be shipping it to me soon.

I had to find a baby blue dress for a funeral. I was of course distraught and listless but the little lady was so helpful in finding what I needed. She got my size and gave her condolences for my beautiful nephew. She was kind and knowledgeable.

Kinda hard to tell by the picture, but the bathroom stalls have a gap so big you'll be showing everyone your business if you're not careful. Looks like someone tried to put a piece of metal over it, but they put it up so high that it doesn't do any good. The store itself is a bit pricey. They did have a lot of sales, but even at 75% off, you'd still pay $20 for a pair of shorts, some even more.

The store looked picked over in the men's section. I did find a sweatshirt to my liking. However, my party went to three customer service desks, and no attendants were there. We dropped off the shirt at an empty desk and walked out.

I have always loved Belks and I still do, but the one in Dothan, Al. looks like a discount store. It used to be displayed by name brands and everything stayed tidy. Now, there are clothes on long racks, clothes on the floor. In some cases, you can't get through with the cart. There are no longer clerks in most departments, there are just a few stations open and most times , the lines are long? I still recommend the store, because of the quality of the merchandise, for the price but I'd just like to know what has happened to my favorite store? Is it local or corporate?

They seem to desperately need more employees on the floor. Waited over ten minutes to simply pick up an online order. I was first in line and by the time someone showed up at pick up, there were 4 of us waiting. I saw one poor lady working a register and had over 10 in line. She was the one who called for help. She was a superstar.

Horrible horrible ! We went there to make a purchase from the fine jewelry department. After 5 minutes we found an employee who said they would call someone to help us. 15 minutes later wr finally walked out. Never saw another employee in the store. If you don't have the help to wait on customers please close your store.

Ordered a dress online for pickup. The process was very easy, excellent price the only thing was when I got there to pick it up noone answered the phone had to go inside,.when you have a hard time walking curbside pickup is a life saver. That was very disappointing but other than that the rest was great!

Why are most check out counters closed? this is inconvienent for those who have schedules, also is annoying. long waits are a hassle and drives people to shop online or go elsewhere. This is end of July, so where are the fall items? probably sitting on a cargo ship waiting for a berth to unload?
