Fried chicken was delicious and crunchy. Service was counter service and they were friendly, fast and efficient. I enjoyed their hospitality. Ambiance was good, it was a busy place for lunch, as that's their only time they serve food. Everyone is coming in and out to get themselves a piece of crispy chicken . Would recommend if you are looking for southern cooking during lunch time!

Found this place searching for restaurants while in Dothan. My sister and I decided to try it out since the best places are usually off the beaten path. This was no exception. Cookie's soul food would make you want to slap your momma twice. It was rather busy for lunch. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The dessert look enticing, but I was far too full from the meal. A great place to check out while in Dothan.

In my opinion the best establishments, are discovered by word of mouth and everyone I asked in Dothan told me to check out this restaurant.

The food is served cafeteria style and you can choose the classic southern plate of one meat with three sides.

The food was not good at all, the macaroni and cheese taste watery they don't give you enough food, plus food don't have any flavor. Not sure why they have as many stars but I would definitely not recommend this establishment. Every one don't know how to cook soul food. We were very disappointed.

*This review is written as constructive criticism*. Cookie catered the food for my parents 50th anniversary vow renewal ceremony. The food was very delicious and everything was delivered and set up in a timely manner. However, Cookie was informed that we were missing yams that we contracted her to deliver with the remaining food items. Instead of immediately looking into the matter, she was expressively combative and stated yams were never requested. After going in circles through text messages and the contract, she realized she was wrong. As a business owner she should have immediately apologized and looked into the matter first instead of arguing. She did apologize for her mistake and rectified the situation.

Too much for box Mac and cheese and canned sweet potatoes. The banana pudding was not good at all. I eat out at different places everyday and this by far was not good. I got 4 plates and was sad that they all were not good. The only thing that looks like it was home made was the corn bread. I could’ve opened the cans and boxes and made this at home instead of paying 46 dollars and some change.

We stopped by Cookie’s Corner Cafe on our way from Atlanta to Destin. When we walked in, it smelled like my grandma’s house on Thanksgiving! There was a bit of a line already at 11:00am but we only waited about 5 minutes before placing our order. My meal was the baked chicken, steamed cabbage, and candied sweet potatoes. My husband had the fried chicken, cabbage and potato salad. The food was AMAZING. It was hot, fresh, cooked well and seasoned better than what we expected. The service was prompt, friendly, and it felt like the best part of humanity gathered in that cafe today. The locals and regulars gathered there for lunch so you KNOW it was good! It is a must stop any time we come through Dothan, from now on.

Food is Awesome. Long line was crowed for dinning in no tables. I called several times to place my order. Wasn't able to get answer kept getting the number wasn't in service. I drove over to the restaurant. Went through the drive through. Was told that they don't answer the phone on Friday because they're super busy on Friday. You can drive over and do pickup

We stopped for lunch on our to fort Walton Beach. The best country cooking I have eaten since losing both sets of grandparents. The collards and yams make you want to slap your mom good (I would never lol)! Will be stopping on our next trip to the beach!
