Great store. Great staff. Guy was nice enough to sell me a box of impossible to find bullets he had in the back at regular price. He did NOT have to do that. Im sure thankful he did. When im in Dothan its a for sure "must" stop before leaving town. Highly recommend. Go check em out!

Everyone here is always helpful and friendly. Admittedly, I've come in 5 min before closing on more than one occasion due to work schedule to get bait for an early morning outing the next day. They are always willing to help. Great selections, and prices are fair.

I've never seen so many primers in one stack. After not seeing any for so long it was a shock to see the stacks available the problem is they are 9 cents each for small pistol. You really can't save any money reloading at those prices so I passed. However they do also have a great selection of green egg supplies.

Being a disabled veteran finances can get kind of Tight. And the folks at Southern Outdoor Sports have always treated me with such kindness and understanding with my purchases! Are they the cheapest? Absolutely not cheap implies poor quality, and they don’t sell anything like that! Everyone there to a Man is helpful ,kind and informative !I live in Geneva Alabama , And do not mind the drive to deal with such kind and professional people! If you haven’t gave them a try please do you will not be disappointed!

Tried buying a Sako S20 in 30-06, but they wouldn't sell to me in CA. I am a patriot and 2A proponent, I didn't vote for the idiots in Sacramento. No problem, decided to buy a Sako S20 from EuroOptics @ a lower price.Think about that before you make your next purchase.

Not a good experience.. was looking for a .45 magazine for a Springfield XDs, 3.3 . The guy in the gun section sat on his rump on the counter, I had to walk to him around the cases for him to see the magazine . Then he says " I don't have that" , not helpful at all . Won't shop there again..

It’s like the staff is afraid to talk to women. I went in and asked about a product, they said they just sold the last one, and I asked if they would be ordering any more… and was ignored… I was completely dismissed. I then went to the young men at the front registers and asked them as well, also dismissed… Will not be shopping here again.

I was kind of cautious about going there by me being a black man wanting to purchase a hand gun I don't know one black person that have been over there but to my surprise the guy working the gun counter was very nice and polite he help me with purchasing a gun with them can't remember his name but I do appreciate it will be doing business with them again.

I have been doing business with this store since the early 1980's when the Fuller family owned and operated it!......It is one of the most complete hunting/fishing stores in the city and the only complete outdoors hunting store in the area with a hometown,locally owned ownership/flavor!....Now that the Saliba Family has purchased it and they have retained most of the past staff , most of the past merchandise lines (Including reloading equip & supplies) along with several new lines of equipment and product ....I see this new ownership as a step forward ....a little bit of younger generation of pure outdoorsman themselves , that will only build upon what the Fuller family has started.I just happen to know Ricky and son Jason Who bought and run the shop and have to say , they are huge outdoorsmen as the Fuller family was and should be a smooth / successful transition for them...And a Continued Bonus of having a Locally Owned , Quality Outdoors shop to serve the Dothan Community for years to come!.....Great move Ricky/Jason...Thank you!

Great service. I will be a return customer. The staff was very helpful and nice, they offered assistance but did not pressure you to buy. Prices were good/standard (I found no markup prices compared to online dealers) as well as having some sales on firearms. I recommend you to go in and purchase or inquire about their products. If you're not local I know they ship products as well. I'm certain they'll assist your needs. 5 Stars for me.

Great people to do business with. I purchase Blaze 14' Bream Poles which used to be a great pole but as of lately the quality has been a lots less than desired. They have a lifetime warranty and the last 4 I purchased lasted one or two fishing trips. I told the employees there I was ashamed to bring them back for so many times but they were very understanding. As a matter of fact I swapped the last 14' Blaze poles for 12' Blaze poles in hope of having better results. Keep in mind not a complaint on Southern Outdoor Sports, they are just a Dealer for Blaze Bream Poles.

Pretty cool place. They have a very healthy balance of items in all departments. Nice reloading section but lack on shot shell components. Staff are awesome. They will say hello and welcome, let you shop, or answer any questions. Great powder selection as well.

Their knowledgeable, courteous personnel guide their clients to the products they are looking for as opposed to those at other retail outlets where employees just point to an aisle & let one fend for themselves.

Recently I was greeted by 2 staff members as I entered the store & escorted to the firearms department where my many questions were answered. I received very helpful information from Chris H who helped me to purchase a Ruger rifle & some ammo.

I look forward to returning for all my firearms & ammo purchases.
