Absolutely love the door greeters! I’ve now learned them and am disappointed when I don’t see certain ones there. I know everyone can’t work the door whenever I come to shop. 😆

I also love the pharmacy staff! They are wonderful, the whole staff! They have nothing but joy to share when I come to pickup my prescriptions. Even on the days I may not feel my best, I leave with a smile.

Lots of items at super great prices! It's absolutely worth the membership! From electronics to food items, a great pharmacy to clothing, pet food to light bulbs! This place has it all! Even specialty items like some home decor and swings for the kids! If you have children at home for the Summer then this place is definitely the place to shop for snacks, food, pool floats, anything and everything! Not to mention the great gas prices you get with your membership!

IS IT REALLY FREE? Why am I asked to tip the delivery driver upon checkout if I choose home delivery. It is supposed to be "free" with plus membership and as long as purchase meets minimum requirement. I pay for the plus membership and Sam's Club promises all these "free" perks. Free means no extra cost to me after plus membership is subscribed to and paid for. It is Sam's Club's job to uphold their end of the agreement. I shouldn't be required to tip if it is a "free" service I have already paid for and have been promised through my plus membership. I understand they are delivery drivers, but it's not my place to pay for a service I have "supposedly" already paid for through my plus membership . Please please order some sodas or cover/remove the labels. Have not carried MTN dew monsoon, the zero version of it, the strawberry melon brisk, etc for months. Everytime I ask the poor staff at the food place they say they don't have any. It's not like just one flavor occasionally out. It's several flavors out for months straight. Pizza still awesome and great value. 🙂

Simply... the tire shop couldn't get the lugnuts off. They told me to go somewhere else to "loosen the lugnuts and come back". I went to Jim Whaley who took the lugnuts off with a cordless drill. I went back to Sam's. He tells me he can't get the lugnuts off! Now, I'm getting angry. So, I take the remaining tires. Go to JW and have them mounted and balanced (service already purchased at sams). And, replace a lugnut that sams destroyed!
The employee at sams said something to me that made sense before i left. "We do what we can with what they give us".
My complaint? Not the tire guys but, Management! Poor leadership! Poor training! Poor customer service! Excuses!

I live about 40 minutes away and enjoy stocking up on things while I’m there, which usually happens bimonthly.

The last 2 visits entire sections have been shutdown/empty with no signage or explanation. Today, the entire dairy cooler was empty and in the meat department there was no fish to be found anywhere. Last visit, it was the entire produce cooler closed down. I asked an employee and they seemed to have zero idea what I was talking about, but were very friendly.

The sushi is also some of the worst I’ve had. It’s often entirely imitation crab or shrimp and the rice has been undercooked/dry 4 out of the last 5 times. I prefer some actual fish (e.g. salmon) in my sushi. I know it’s my fault for continuing to buy it, but I love sushi and usually stop in around lunchtime.

I’ll definitely keep shopping here. It’s nice to stock up on things like pool salt, seltzer, and pancake mix. Employees are always friendly. However, the shopping experience itself is getting a little more frustrating and I’ll probably continue to shift the bulk of my shopping to Publix.

Beware of using your debit card to renew your sam's club membership. They debited $100 out of our checking account without our authorization.When we called, they accused us of turning on automatic renewal, which we know that we did not do. The problem with that is we had not renewed my husband's membership in 2 years because we only needed 1 card. They debited $50 from our account for a 2 year old expired membership card. when I called to tell them that the card was 2 years old and expired, the next day, they debited my bank card $50. Beware!

Food quality seems to be dropping like a rock here. Bad chicken, nasty smell when cooking it makes me wonder if it’s GMO now. Anything else I find a good deal on, has a reason there’s a good deal and it’s usually because it’s already garbage. I’m having to readjust my lifestyle and start shopping more at Publix and farmers markets for edible foods. Lowes, etc. Sad to see this place shift overseas.

UPDATE - Things have improved a lot since that post; maybe not as good as I feel Costco was, but no one is perfect. Need more selection and for prices to come down. Customer service is much better. Purchased $250.00 in items for my home, which included food; when I arrived home decided to wash the two pillows I purchased(with cheap Memory Foam), since the description allows for such, but after drying them, the cheap Zipper came off, of the outer cover, and some of the Memory Foam particles were leaking out. Also thought that the 3-Pack of Soap(with Glass containers) should have been closer to $8 versus $16, so I was a bit ticked off & returned to Sam's to return the Pillows & either be refunded on the Extravagant Soap or obtain the different in the price.

At first I was not so aggravated since there was no wait in the Return Line, and while the Lady was taking care of the first return(of mine), the other Lady went to check the price, and several others were all of the sudden in the waiting line(but not that many). Then the person who just took care of the 'one' return tells me to "step aside" while she takes care of the next person in line, but I am thinking to myself, but "You are not finished with me!" - how stupid huh? = To make we wait (not in line) in a dead zone, while the other other person is most likely on her way back soon, by then, & would not have taken much longer, just so she can rush the line along & appease the next person in line???

So, I am ticked off now! - not only did I have to return several items - ended up right on the Pillows but wrong on the Soap price (but the price is still ridiculously high, since you can just purchase the same size soap in not so fancy containers for 1/4 to 1/3 the price and much easier to refill those too, so I ended up refunding both items for credit by having to use 2 different Return personnel(what an ingenious idea huh?)

I did attempt to speak to the Manager about what occurred but I did not find that person up front where I was told they would be - and as I was walking away, some Lady said, "I'll be with you in a moment sir" < why not say it while I was standing there versus walking away?

Anyway - I was just so ticked off from the Return experience - that crap would never have happened at a Costco - I may just have to start driving all the way up to Montgomery just to go to a much better Big Box Store with way better Customer Service too (no, I don't work for them!). Even the Mixed Nuts are way better at Costco - you know the ones with Macadamia Nuts, and other good quality nuts that they even sell on other sites and everyone raves about- the Sam's Mixed Nuts are the same cheapO nuts they have down the road at Walmart - LOL! Absolutely Nuts!

If I could I would ask for my Sam's Membership Fee back - no wonder that this week they are trying like mad to give the Memberships away for a measly $8; hard to believe so many were there at Sam's before 10am too, who had paid the $100 fee - so hard to believe! Oh btw, I had to wait until exactly 10 AM in order to come in and shop & I did not pay just $8 for my Membership Fee, but full price, just not the $100, Thank God!

I love Sams Club. They need to give lifetime membership after five years of paying. Some things I bought there like Lipton Green tea didn’t taste right. Like maybe it was in the heat too long. But overall I do love shopping there for not only food but other items.
Update: Sams basic Membership is $50 a year for two. I love getting gas at Sams.
I also love their paper towels. I love their cooked frozen hot wings.
I also love that I get emails about my balance regularly.
I love that I can use my Sams Mastercard at Walmart.
I love that I can pay my Sams Club bill at Walmart or at the check out at Sams.

The young man working in the tire department was so kind for my tire rotation today. First. he met me at the garage door and I just handed him my keys for my appointment. After I told him I had to go in the store anyway I was surprised to see he had driven and parked my van at the front entrance so I didn't need to walk in the rain. Now I know they may not have been busy but he went above and beyond what is expected. Great employee.

My Mom just had the WORST customer service (Automotive/Tire) she's ever had. Spent $1000 to have their employees not only be rude and inconsiderate but even forgot about her car. The so called manager on duty was of no help what so ever. I don't complain, you can look at my review history and see that, but their actions, or lack thereof, and disregarding attitudes are unacceptable. If she could have made it to the Sam's in Tuscaloosa I know she would've had a much better experience. If the employees hate their jobs that much there are plenty of other places hiring.....or move over to stocking or shipping where they'll have minimal customer interaction.

Absolutely the worst customer experience. Do not use Sam's Club to purchase new tires.

This started about 12 days ago. We went to the tire center to see about getting some new tires for my car. When we got to the tire center, there was no one at the counter. Looking around in the tire center, I was unable to find anyone. After getting the attention of another employee in a different department, we were finally able to get someone from the tire center to help us.

We were informed that they did not have the tire size that I needed in stock at the moment, and they would need to order them. We were informed that it would arrive in about 6 days, and we would receive a phone call once the tires came in. A full week went by and we did receive any phone calls. We decided to drive down to Sam's club to find out what was going on.

Again, when arriving at the tire center, we had the same experience. No employees around. After about 10 minutes of waiting, someone finally came to assist us. It was then that we learned that the tires that were ordered had already came in and no one decided to let us know. We scheduled an appointment to have the tires installed for Saturday at 12:00PM.

It is now Saturday, and again we are greeted with the same experience as before. Not a single employee at the tire center to assist us. After waiting about 20 minutes, I ended up having to go searching other departments for assistance again.

Finally, I was able to hand my keys over to have my tires installed. I was informed that the process will take anywhere from an hour to an hour and half. I came back to the tire center after an hour and was able to see through the window that they were currently working on my car. I decided to come back after 30 more minutes.

Again, I am greeted with the same lack of service. Not a single tire center employee to be seen. I look through the window and see that my car is no longer in there. I assume that my vehicle is ready. I head towards the counter where I paid for the tires, and to my horror, I see my car keys LEFT OUT COMPLETELY IN THE OPEN, UNATTENDED. Anyone could have come up and taken my car keys, and since my keys have a fob on it, it would not take that person long to figure out which car was mine.

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE.

We spoke with a manager about it, and found out that this is not the first time an incident like this has happened.

This place is great. Yes, you buy mostly in bulk. So, if you time out what you buy, you are set with really great savings! After you slowly buy the staples (TP, paper towels, condiments, etc.), you find yourself all set for months! This saves even more money because of less trips! And gas that's ten cents or so cheaper per gallon than anywhere else in town is the icing on the cake! That alone more than pays for the membership fee. It's a mindset, for sure, but once you get the hang of it, you will love the savings!

Whatever you do… do NOT do pick up at this Sam’s. The first time I did it I waited 45 minutes and said maybe they were just having a busy day. Today I am sitting here waiting for 30 minutes as I am typing. People who have pulled up after me have gotten their orders. When I asked when I’m next the worker says I will be next but I’m not. I have never left a bad review on anything however making a mistake is OK but not trying to fix it is not. I ordered a cake that was going to be for a teen boys birthday party reviewing my cake order with two other worker before leaving I was going to pick up my cake order and received a cake that did not look like what I ordered at all. It looked like a gender reveal cake, seeming confused I asked to speak with the Bakery worker in charge his response was that I filled out the paper and that’s what I ordered mind you I reviewed my order with two other workers and they filled out the paper order I have worked in a bakery before we do not fill out any Bakery orders. I do not recommend this bakery.

This is in regards to the tire and auto center. Avoid them. Take a quote to a competitor for matched pricing on similar tire. They do not honor the milage warranty without hassle and forgot to balance my latest tire. This is after having me come back he next day to pick it up when it wasn't ready when promised.

Placed online order and went to pick it up and the items were not pulled. There was only one employee working pick-up orders. I talked with the manager and she seemed to dismiss my concerns. She just pointed to the employee that was handling the pick-up orders. This has happened to me twice.

My order pick up time was 11-12. I was at sams at 11:15. My order was not ready. At 11:33 I chatted with a sams representative on the app my order still wasn’t ready and was told sams was a little behind they offered me a $10 gift card for my wait. I had Walmart groceries in the truck and was worried they would spoil. Talked to an order picker at 11:40 and was going to put a rush on my order. At 12:27 talked to another representative on the app my order still wasn’t ready and I couldn’t get a time when it was going to be ready. I also told Sasha I was worried about my groceries from Walmart going bad. All she said was she was sorry and if there was a different problem she could help me with. I said she was no help and the conversation was ended. At 12:44 they finally brought out my sams order. When I got home all my frozen was mushy and completely defrosted. My cold items was warm. Know I’m out of $157.21 I spent at Walmart. With groceries so high and barely can afford that in groceries for my family. No one offered to refund what I lost. I will never do grocery pick up again. I recommend thinking before you do grocery pick up it’s easier to go inside and get your items. Now I have to figure out how to feed my two 12 year old boys and my husband.

We stood in line for customer's who were having to check out their own purchases to load their purchases in carts, pay.... The whole time while Sam's employees watched... As if "hands off". There were a few manned check outs, but the majority are self-checkout.

It's a good location.

Tried to buy alcohol with Government photo ID and was advised alcohol can only be sold to US citizens. I'm a Canadian Snowbird in my 40's. Horrible policy.

Clean, fantastic pricing and selection during these times. Out of several staple items that folks save on like water, but great choices in lobster tail, Salmon and Ribeye roast!

This place is one of the most wonderful places that I truthfully enjoy going to. So it's a supermarket and a gas station with the company pertaining to Walmart except they treat their workers better. They have everything you need and they have all of it in bulk with most of it in smaller quantities as well. The food court is one of those places you see after finally indulging in, you just keep wanting to come back. The people make some really good food. There are free samples and product demonstrations every so often and you can get a pretty great deal on anything you need for any occasion.
