This ramen shop on Main St. in Alhambra may look unassuming from the outside, but it's truly a hidden gem that left us pleasantly surprised. The service here is also exceptionally warm and attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable.

This time, my daughter and I ordered the Vegetable Ramen and Wakame Udon, with Popcorn Chicken and Agedashi Tofu as appetizers. My Vegetable Ramen featured a rich and savory broth, paired with tofu, scallions, corn, seaweed, and black fungus. Adding a touch of spice elevated the flavors, creating a more complex and satisfying taste. My daughter's Wakame Udon had a sweet and light broth made with seaweed, scallions, and fish cake, which was perfect for those who prefer a more subtle flavor.

The Popcorn Chicken, a must-order dish at every table, was undoubtedly the highlight of our meal! Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside without being greasy, it easily outclassed any popcorn chicken we've had elsewhere. The Agedashi Tofu was equally impressive, with its silky texture and perfectly balanced sauce.

We're thrilled to have discovered this hidden culinary treasure and will definitely be back!

Great place for Japanese ramen noodles. The broth from the Tonkotsu bowl was unbelievable, and the ramen noodle was nice and chewy just the way I liked them. The black mushroom and sliced bamboo shoot were a perfect complement to the bowl. I ordered the medium level spice Tonkotsu bowl with popcorn chicken on the side so it won't drown in broth and get sogged out. I will order the spicy bowl next time as the medium spice didn't quite do it for me. The ramen noodle portion is generous compared to other Ramen noodle restaurants. Their curry pork cutlet was delicious as well. The restaurant is small and there's limited parking in the rear. Staff were friendly and courtesy. Will definitely come back.

Small decent ramen shop with off street parking in the back of the building. The ramen and udon we tried didn't taste as good as we thought. The broth was a bit too salty to our taste. The service was ok, but there were barely any people dining in when we were there. The indoor atmosphere is small and cozy, but didn't have the same vibe of a mom and pop ramen shop we thought this place was.

Stopped by for a quick lunch. Ordered the Kitsune Udon. Broth was flavourful, good portion of toppings, and very delicious overall. Place is small, but it felt very cozy. One-Punch Man was playing on their TV. I like that the place wasn't loud. Bookmarking for whenever I'm in the area again. There is some parking behind the restaurant, though it was not busy so I can't comment on how difficult it can be to park during peak hours.

This place is a hidden gem! It's a hole in the wall, but they have good food and great customer service! The prices are amazing as well. My boyfriend got the spicy Ramen with medium spice, and he was enjoying himself. He can handle spice well, but it got spicy for him, he still continued eating it though because it was yummy. "They're true to their level of spiciness."
He would return ! 10/10 is his rating

I got the classic tonkatsu Ramen and added a croquette for $1.50 I got one and a half 😋 perfect because I was stuffed with the Ramen.
They gave thick pieces of cha sui, not stingy at all!!!! I'd definitely come back. I burned my tongue but it was worth it lol highly recommend coming here! 9/10

Their parking is right next to the restaurant but it is limited. I got there at 6:10 and it was 1/3 full. Got the regular tonkatsu and it was pretty good! The soup was super flavorful. Their portions are pretty big too. Chashu was so tender! Popcorn chicken tasted pretty good in the popcorn chicken ramen bowl! Medium spicy was too spicy for me. I think I’ll do mild next time to try! You can add a small curry for 1.50. Not worth. I’ll want to try something else next time. Staffs were all so nice and service was quick!

I am only rating the popcorn chicken Ramen! That is the item I've had 4 times. The restaurant is kinda hidden. If you ever go there, they are right in front of the alhambra carwash and its in a brick building.

The chicken is mild. Medium or hot spice level. Soup is super hot and tasty.

It is quite a treat. You should definitely try this item if its your 1st time. If you are mexican and like spicy like me get medium spice and xtra spice on the side in case you like it very spicy! Will definitely keep going.

I used to eat here often when I worked in Alhambra. I was in the area and decided to eat dinner with my daughter here.
The ramen was just as good as I remember. I have recommended this restaurant to many friends over the years and I'm happy the quality of their food is still very good!
I wish I could've met Akiko and her mom to complete my trip down memory lane.

Highly recommend!! Food is always delicious, quick whether you dine in or get it to go. I’ve been there enough times that they know my name when I start to give my order (over the phone) and in person she just tells me to make sure it’s still the same. The parking lot is small, BUT I usually can find a spot. Wish they were open Sundays, but they work hard the other six days of the wk.

Outstanding delicious noodle dishes in a cosy environment. The staff is very friendly, meals come fast. We eat here at least once a week and enjoy the constant high quality. They have a few parking spots in the back, otherwise street parking is relatively easy.

A nice cozy place to enjoy some good ramen. I got the spicy ramen at medium spicyness which had a bit of a kick. When I go back next time. I'm definitely getting extra spicy. The gyoza was good as well.

Decided to give Kosuke a try tonight and was not disappointed. I ordered our meal to go and when we went in to pick it up it smelled so good inside, the aroma of the food permeated the restraunt. I had the spicy miso ramen with popcorn chicken and my daughter had the miso ramen with tofu, we both loved it. I got my spicy ramen medium spicy and it was spicy! Very good flavor. Looking forward to trying more from the menu, will definitely be back!

Their Kuro ramen is the best. Very authentic taste - a lot like the ramen I have had in Japan.

Popcorn Chicken Ramen is also very good. I usually go with medium spicy, since spicy really does mean spicy.

Ramen is still consistently good, even after the pandemic. This is my go-to place for ramen in Alhambra.

This place is super cute, it is small so big parties might have a hard time. The service was great and you can just tell the staff is nice. The food was great, especially for the price. I had the spicy Ramen and takoyaki. Beware the spice! I got medium and there was definitely a burn but it was really tasty. I would be happy to support this place again.

This is not a bad spot by any means, I just found it super average. The popcorn chicken was fine, not outstanding compared to other spots nearby, and the ramen I thought was a bit too oily. There are so many good ramen locations in this area including Shinsengumi as well as good chains like Kopan that I prefer to Kosuke. Again, not a bad spot, and in a pinch it's perfectly decent food but nothing impressive here.

Amazingly tasty hugh quality food which is so damn healthy and fulfilling ! We go often when we crave Indian food ! No place beats it. Food is prepared in the right amount of oil unlike other places that use a lot of it in the curries. The staff is welcoming and very warm. Must go for Indian vegetarian or non-vegetarian food !!

Waited in the freezing 40° weather for an hour and fifteen minutes before they decided to tell us that they were CLOSING EARLY and wouldn't sit us down. They just flipped the closing sign on us 40 minutes before closing, without saying anything before letting us know they weren't sitting us, AFTER over an hour we waited. I even went in to check the status of the wait beforehand, and they asked my name and after telling them, the woman said almost and I assumed we were going to be seated after waiting so long, then 5 minutes later they tell us they're closing early, it's so unprofessional.

PSA: ROACHES!

Nice little hole in the wall with some tasty dishes until I discovered roaches. Went to the restroom and they were coming in from the kitchen. I brought it up to the staff who came back and stated "we're gonna spray again" and that was it. Needless to say we only ate about 1/4th of our dinner before discovering this which at that time decided to leave. Not even an apology, meal comp, discount, nothing. I then said screw it and was gonna pay which I was then told that I was gonna be charged 3% for paying with a credit card. NEVER GOING BACK.

My favorite ramen spot in the entire LA, the owner insist no delivery so they can make sure the take out quality is still under their control when customer take it home personally. You also can't order take-out for Chashu(pork slices) ramen for the same reason, they want you to taste it fresh, therefore no take-out for Chashu ramen. They are famous in the town and that's the reason why, the owner never negotiate with quality, even it means they don't make more money, they're working with their traditional Japanese mindset, that why it's so good.

I've only had the vegetable ramen and it's good.

They actually do accept card but will charge you a fee. I thought it was cash only and was surprised to see people ahead of me paying with cards. I think they're info is just outdated online.

I wish their menu was available online, not just pictures of it...their *current* menu. Prices may have gone up from what you see online so make sure to ask if you're calling in an order.

Tried the Popcorn Chicken Ramen, and it was yummy! This is now my favorite Ramen place. Please note that dine in option is available for dinner on Friday, and lunch and dinner on Saturday. Entrance to parking in the rear is right next to the restaurant.

This place is a little hole in the wall. It’s so worth the wait (there is always one). They are a cash only place so remember that! It’s also closed from 3-530 like most Asian places usually are. So I’m a vegetarian and their veggie ramen is not meat based which most places do not have with a delicious variety of veggies. And their spicy is actually spicy!! I love it!! So good!

Easily one of my favorite ramen spots. Served nice and hot and cooked to perfection. Also have a favorite dessert of mine too, redbean taiyaki. A friend of mine who studied abroad in Japan says it's the closest to how they make it in Japan around here.
