The food is good. You get what you pay for and this place is affordable. Space is pretty limited but I’ve gone twice for brunch and it wasn't too busy. When it was time to pay they didn’t have change so that was a bit inconvenient. The avocado toast was good, could have put a little more generous amount of a avocado. Both red and green chilaquiles are good. Beans kinda tasted like they probably came from a can…Didn’t care for them. I had a pumpkin iced coffee, very delicious. The fruit with my toast was fresh and sweet.
The atmosphere is very modern and chic. Love the roses and greenery.

The food was cooked well but tasted low quality and was overall underwhelming. The atmosphere was aesthetic and had a nighttime vibe, but the music was not rated E for everyone.

Mandys Cafe serves Breakfast and lunch only, open at 7:00 am close 2:00pm. They are closed on Monday.
Breakfast is very good. I ordered the Top Of The Morning, which is two pieces of sausage and bacon, eggs (any way) and French toast. It was delicious.
Another ordered to go a Super Bird sandwich 🥪, comes with fries. It is “real” turkey, bacon, tomato and cheese on grilled sourdough. Very impressed it was freshly carved turkey 🦃, damn it made the sandwich, delicious.
Will be returning very soon.

Wait was a bit long, but the food was pippin' hot and had a genuine home-feel to it which is rare to find nowadays.

Top notch staff service, with prices that were reasonably fair/just from anywhere between $2—$19 for one person(depending on what you order).

This place is sure to help kickstart your day.

When you look at the menu, look all the way down. These guys want to charge a 3% transaction fee for using your card. Ass if the process weren't high enough already. Then they expect a tip ass well. The service has gotten very poor, which does not merit a tip in most cases.

We really enjoyed this spot for breakfast or lunch. It's casual dining with reasonable prices and friendly helpful employees. My husband ordered breakfast nachos and really enjoyed them. I also liked that it was kid friendly. We will definitely come back again.

I hate to leave a bad review but I was not satisfied with the service. The place is cute, but the seating is not family friendly, more like a bar. The staff took a while to get our drinks and order even though the place was not busy at all. The food was not terrible, but steak was overcooked, and burger was too. When I went to pay I was a bit surprised because we only ordered 3 plates. Whatever, I paid it, left tip on the table and a few days later, a higher amount than what was on my bill was charged. I did not dispute it since it was a few dollars more, I'm assuming they felt like my cash tip was not enough but I would not return since I was not pleased with the service.

I am not sure why a place that’s trying to make a name for them self in town would be be so quick to make any effort 138pm on a Sunday afternoon saying we close at 2pm and wouldn’t allow me my wife and 4 yr son sit down and enjoy brunch smh that’s a bad look
I spoke so highly of this lil hidden gem off Panama to multiple ppl from my first visit

Upon arrival the welcome was great.
Sat down and noticed that the plush seats really needed to be cleaned. There were few customers in the restaurant.
I ordered a new item which is the breakfast croissant and my husband ordered the chiliquuiles with eggs.
Food arrived and I immediately took a photo and then started to take a look at my entree. The croissant was flat and dry..eggs was over cooked and dry, turkey was overcooked and dry, bacon was undercooked and there was little to no avocado. I took one bite and knew this was not good. Bland and dry. My husband's entree was good..but again the eggs were overcooked. I waited some time to see if the waitress would come back to check on us...when my husband finished his breakfast that is when she came back to check. I was already finished in my mind with my review at that point and asked for the entree to be removed from our check. I did say that I liked the potatoes...which I probably shouldn't have..she added them to the check. If your looking for great flavor..probably not a good choice. It is what it is...it lacks alot and needs to be improved tremendously. They have been open since 2022..so we thought by now that maybe this was a good restaurant to add to our favorites. Maybe with a few changes..this may be a good eatery.

I think this place has had a major glow-up that isn't shown on these reviews. This place had great service, good food and a good variety in the menu, and overall amazing vibes. If you want a cup of coffee and an Instagram photoshoot, or if you just want a good burger on your lunch break, this is the good choice.

The does not taste the same as it did when they first opened. This time they my order completely wrong, the food had a different texture. I also, added a picture in the bottom because I order the Eggs Benny which are my favorite from there. However, the bread that’s in the bottom was hard as a rock. I was not able to bite into at all. The knife couldn’t even cut through it. I had scrape my food the bread and eat it apart with the potatoes.

So glad we found this little family owned cafe. They've got great tasting food and exceptional customer service. I tried their sirloin steak and eggs and it was perfect. So flavorful, doesn't even need steak sauce! I look forward to trying other things from their menu.

Have been waiting 20 mins for one order of 2 biscuits and gravy to go....last time I asked for extra gravy, got a 1 oz cup of it..and Gravy tasted like flour , it had sausage and bacon bits but no flavor.. it's like they rinse off the meat and only add meat to gravy and none of the grease and no pepper... Certainly dont taste like country gravy... Ok just got my food...2 container for one order and gravy is like water!! Lifted fork and only thing on it was a thin piece of meat all gravy ran off, I could see entire Biscuit clearly through the Gravy it was so thin. I ended up going all the way back and cancelling my order!! I seen one order in clear PKG on shelf Togo and it had 1 full biscuit and approx 3/8" of gravy.... pooled around it. Great place if you’re in a diet. The portions are very small! Seems like they’re following the trend of charging more for less during this inflation! Paid paid almost $45 dollars for two adult breakfasts that included child sized portions. 1 bacon, 1 sausage really? A half cup of hash browns spread around the container to appear like more?! Do better Mandy! Don’t pick and choose who you give good service. Should be the same for everyone! And stop cheating your customers, adult portions for adult menu items. Period.

Looking at all of the reviews of this place I thought it was going to be great. Unfortunately it was an extreme let down. Let’s start with the service, it was really good. Waitress was very nice and welcoming. The food on the other hand was not as good as the service. In our group we had the waffle and a slice of bacon, not bad but it’s hard to mess that up. French toast, again ok but not worth the price. Then I ordered the bacon and cheese omelette. Unfortunately that was the worst omelette that I have ever had! It was dry and over cooked, but the worst was the Kraft sliced processed nasty cheese that they used in it and on top of it. Wheres the grated cheddar cheese people! Unfortunately that ruined it for me and from my experience I would not recommend eating here, at least for breakfast.

MANDYS CAFE/DOOR DASH CAFE
My family dined at this place last week for breakfast. We like dining here because it's cozy and not much customers compared to other restaurants. Unfortunately, we arrived at 9:30AM and got our food at 10:05AM. WHY??? Because Mandy's served the DOOR DASH first before the customers who are waiting in their restaurant!!! Mandys don't care if you are going to spend money at their restaurant. They cared more for their DOOR DASH clients!!! There were 3 couples who came in after us and 1 of those couples left because the server forgot to put their order. I praise that girlfriend/wife for being nice and not being a Karen in the restaurant. She politely told the server that they are leaving as their food took so long. I observed everything that morning at Mandy's and it's really good. Your other customers may not observe what I witnessed, but you may want to change your name from Mandy's Cafe to MANDYS/DOOR DASH CAFE :)

I am giving one star because that is the lowest I can give. We like to try new places. There was no room inside so we sat at one of the two tables outside. Once the came with menus we ordered drinks. Should have left then. I went inside and asked for our drinks. Finally came and she took our order. A while had past I went inside and paid for our drinks and left. As we walked next door to the Mexican Restaurant we past our waitress, she said have a nice day, almost as though she thought we had eaten. HORRIBLE SERVICE

Been here many times and service and food have been great, went for breakfast today I ordered my meal and ask if I can get a biscuit and gravy instead of toast, the waitress right away got a bad attitude and said no we don't do that, I said ok well can I get it as a side, she still had attitude and said yes. Well I get my meal and got my biscuit and gravy and it was like liquid and tasted straight like milk, I let the waitress know cause I tasted it and it wasn't good at all her reply was just oh and walked away I was still charged for it, I will no longer eat at this place the workers walk around completely lost. I used to really like this place.

Ordered from Uber and the first driver left because it took longer than expected the second driver waited 30 minutes himself. On the website it says French toast comes with a bacon, sausage and an egg. I only received French toast and called to inquire about the rest but the staff told me it’s only French toast. The staff who answered my call seemed friendly and I let them know what the website stated. They appeared apologetic but I had to give a poor review for the food and the timeliness.

Would give ZERO stars if I could. My mom and I wanted a booth and said we would wait. The girl working said she was too busy to clean and we couldn’t have it. How ridiculous! Cleaning is part of your job

We used to really like going to Mandy's. We would even order through Doordash during the pandemic. We went in today to eat, and were disappointed. There was only 1 to 2 other tables besides us, and the service was bad. The food servers spent more time concerned with the Doordash and Grubhub orders, instead of taking care of their in person customers.

The food was great, & the low prices made the place just perfect! Definitely worthy of 5 stars. The inside is very warm & inviting. It was also very clean. I loved the way they did the seating, w/ a bench seat you step up on to, then there were tall classy bar chairs, that were across from the high bench seating, making everyone at an equal level. They also have regular tables, that are low to the ground, & there was also a long counter top, you can sit against, if you're alone, or just like it. The staff were very nice & friendly. The owner is wonderful, & welcomed us personally. There was so much food, we couldn't eat it all, & had to take it home. The food was just as good, reheated!! If you want to go to a place w/ an expensive feel, w/o the expensive prices, then I highly recommend you check out, Mandys Cafe!! You won't be sorry.

I got a short stack and scrambled eggs and hashbrowns. The food definitely made me feel like I was eating at home, and didn't feel heavy. I love the aesthetic of the place. The lady that was serving me was friendly, respectful, and seemed to really care about the service I was getting. Definitely quality service here. I will be back again soon to try more!

Waitress was snotty about my party moving tables. She let us sit at multiple tables for the entire duration of our meal, and when we wanted to move tables she rudely asked us not to take up two tables. Mind you, there was no one waiting to be seated. The only reason why two tables were being used is because the stools are hard versus the padded booth seats. Which I can’t not sit in for long being pregnant and my niece is young and fidgets. We moved to have access to the only plug in the establishment, because we go to this establishment to get work done for a project. The roof was leaking. The food is cheap. My churro waffle, was just a waffle with cinnamon and sugar thrown on top. Hash browns looked fake and not cooked all the way through. The sausage was burned. Mandy's was clean, nicely decorated and friendly staff. We were greeted and seated almost immediately. PSA if you're looking for the huevos rancheros, it's called "the mamba". It came with beans and potatoes. The potatoes were so flavorful along with the egg and beans. The portions are just right. Our server was very attentive and friendly. My daughter had the omelette, she's picky, she was impressed by not only the food and its presentation but the decorations as well. We will be back

Very basic, pancakes taste like Bisquick
Husband had the Chorizo Benedict's chorizo was burned the hash browns where over cooked, both of us had biscuit and gravy good gravy. Cute place mabey think about a new cook and homemade pancakes

This was close to my house so I decided to give it a try but it was the worst food experience in Bakersfield and I've lived here for ten years. Almost everything we ordered had a major flaw in it. The club sandwich was all bread and the eggs benedict was extremely spicy. The fries were hard and overall everything felt cheap. The waitress was really nice tho.

Very good breakfast the food taste like it's supposed to taste like. The eggs taste like eggs in the bacon taste like bacon and the waffles taste like a waffle.

This place is great. They have the best and biggest hamburgers I have ever eaten in this town. Their French toast is also very good. Clean and fast friendly service. I eat there all the time.

I have eaten twice from this place and each time it has been great!!! Prices are reasonable, staff is super friendly. I had the chicken fried steak and OMG it was soooooo delicious. Definitely recommend this place.

Really good food and friendly attentive staff. Super clean and I would recommend this restaurant to anybody who appreciates small restaurant businesses. Only con (if you want to call it a con) is that it is not big on the inside so you might have a wait time if they have 15 or more people inside. Other than that, it's an awesome place.
