I got a bandeja paisa and an agua panela limonada. The arepa was like old and dry though, but the rest of it was pretty good. But what was crazy was the price. 33.74 for a bandeja paisa in a to go tray and a limonada. WAY WAY over priced.

Oh ok just so you, the reader, knows when this was typed, 3/1/2024 that’s when we went.
Food; we left half of it as it was served cold. Server brought it back as we were about to get ready to leave.
Food portion is not commensurate with price.
Not at all.
Service was adequate. Don’t bother calling as server will be either busy taking food to customer or outside making personal phone calls. We saw seven people in the 37 minutes we were there come in, and walk right out. Don’t ask me why lol.
And because server and or food isn’t what cost-conscious consumers seek, the restaurant was empty and this is on a Friday after four pm when people are out and about. Owner clearly wants to recoup their investment, aggressively doing it based on cost. If price matched portions, that would make sense. Sad, sad because there’s a need for Colombian food in Southern California, but it needs to make fiscal sense.

Lo peor en todo Estados Unidos ordene comida para dos adultos y para mi niña ,la comida llegó tarde e incompleta pregunté porque y me dijeron q el cocinero había salido y había alguien más ,cuando al fin llega el pedido que había echo para mi hija estaba crudo ,lo devolví y ni una disculpa ofrecieron la hamburguesa que ordené nunca llegó ,pagué my dinero por gusto y lo peor fue q ni disculpa ofrecieron 12-24-2024

ALEJATE DE ESTE LUGAR. Una experiencia para olvidar. Pedí una bandeja paisa y fue una gran decepción. El chorizo apenas tenía sabor, el chicharrón era un pequeño y seco pedazo de carne de puerco que no se parecía en nada al original. Las arepas parecían trozos de masa cruda con queso derretido, nada apetecible. La carne molida tenía una textura y sabor que recordaba al spam mezclado; nada auténtico. Además, la comida estaba visiblemente vieja, el huevo sobrecocido, las empanadas sabían como si fueran del día anterior, difíciles de masticar. Los plátanos, supuestamente dulces, estaban insípidos. Incluso en peores condiciones, la comida en Colombia es mejor que esto. No lo recomiendo. Una experiencia que no repetiré.

Restaurante la olla. Malísima comida pedimos una bandeja paisa el chorizo 1 pulgada, Malo algo que disque es chicharrón nada que ver 1x1x1/2 malo. Lo único bueno 3 tajadas de plátano pinton y 2 gaseosas colombianas pedi 2 arepas y nos dieron pedazos de masa casi cruda con queso derretido encima. MALAS MALAS MALAS.

Horrible service! I waited for over 30 minutes for two arepas. People who order food after me kept getting their orders. I when to ask about my order and cashier just ignored me a kept taking orders from people coming in even though I’m in front if him trying to get his attention. Finally asked about my order and no explanation just that it would come out. I kept waiting and more people who had just ordered kept getting their food. I when and asked for refund and the person in the kitchen said “NO” because they ordered was already being prepared. I still waited another 10 minutes. Finally the order came out and I got no explanation or apology. I do not like writing bad reviews but this was just exceptionally upsetting and I’m still waisting my time writing this. Needless to say I’m never coming back. With that service I doubt they’ll be open long anyway. I don’t even want to eat the food any more.

La comida espectacular, que bonito tener una parte de tu tierra cerca, la verdad es que he estado en otros restaurantes colombianos y no ha sido muy buena la experiencia, pero la Olla Colombiana me encantó mucho, tanto la atención que tuvo Andrés que fue muy amable conmigo, como la comida, sobre todo los pandebonos rellenos de bocadillo, los pandeyucas , las empanadas y todo lo que he comido hasta ahora. I visited this place when it first opened. I ordered the empanadas and was surprised when she handed them to me immediately. They were already cooked, hard and inedible. My teeth couldnt crack the hard cornbread like shell. I visit Brea mall often, havent returned to this place since that awful stale thing they happily served me

I wanted to love this place. I was soooo excited that a colombian place opened near and that I could come and enjoyed it often , sadly it didn't live up to the hype. I ordered bandeja paisas pan de yuca and passion fruit juice.
The bandeja paisa was cold absolutely everything in it cold. Not to mention everything was old not fresh almost as if the had attempted to reheat the whole thing rice was stale , arena was stale, the ground beef was not seasoned and bone dry and the beans were sweet and weirdly dry. I am ecuadorian so I am aware southamerican beans are more creamy than centro américa but this wasn't it. Also I am a chef so I know old food when I taste it in an instant.
The pan de yuca was made fresh so that was about the only enjoyable thing I had. Now price wise the bandeja paisa was overpriced fornwhat you got. The rest of the menu seemed prices well. Then again I didn't had anything else so not sure if the quality matched the pricing. I unfortunately was left hungry as I couldn't even finish my food and dissapointed that such a good looking restaurant is serving such bad food.

This Colombian fast food restaurant is one of its kind in the area. The food is delicious and with very authentic flavors. The arepas especially are so good that I come here often to try all of them. The owner, Andrés, is very kind and welcoming and really cares about his customers. I recommend to everyone!

So this is my third time coming here and wow service is still great and the Arepa Loca 10/10. Let me just say my very first visit the service was phenomenal and don’t get me started on the food. I literally came back the same day and tried something else because it was so delicious. Anytime I’m at the Brea Mall better believe I’ll be grabbing something here. Good luck!!
