If you're going alone for AYCE, DON'T BOTHER. THEY WILL REFUSE YOU AT THE DOOR. Their "policy" states no less than two people for AYCE. I asked if I could pay for 2 people and eat AYCE. They refused. I told them that this is discrimination. They said, "It's not discrimination, it's our policy." With a smile on their face. Disgusting. Never going back. Heck, couldn't if I tried, right? πŸ€ͺ

I'll just go to Wuso Korean BBQ on Lyons. Their pricing and quality is better anyway. Major plus, they don't discriminate against people coming to eat by themselves.

First time to eat at Charcoal Korean BBQ since my kids are looking to it and they can cook by themselves at the table. We order Eat All you can for $36.99 for a 5 person table.

Service is really good. Foods are good as well. I think we spent an hour and half and everyone is happy afterwards. Gave a good tip for the service and food. I know we will be back for sure. Peace 😎.

We got here on a Monday night at 8:30 PM. It was not very busy, but they stopped sitting people at that time. We were asked, because of maintenance issues, that we have to leave by 9:30 PM. They usually close at 10 PM. We thought about it a little bit, but we were craving Korean bbq, so we agreed. Despite that, the staff was very friendly and we didn't feel rushed at all!

We chose all you can eat for 36.99 per person. The meats were very tender and well seasoned! The sides were all fresh and very tasty. Our craving for K-bbq was well satisfied! We'll definitely be back.

Servers were polite and changed the grill regularly.
Atmosphere was clean. Not excessively smokey.
Grills didn't get nearly as hot as I'd like to get a good sear on the thicker cuts.

They turned off our stove several times. I had a party of 6 and only did 3 rounds of meat (3 orders at a time), but they turned off the stove 3 times, between each order. I ordered "all you can eat" for $35/head, so this was a little annoying. I haven't experienced that before at other KBBQ restaurants. They also didn't seem to heat the stove very hot, so it took longer. Honestly, it kind of felt like they were trying to save money and draw out our time so that we wouldn't order any more food. I think I'll probably try another KBBQ next time.

I’ve been coming here for years even when it had a completely different owner. This place is a little gem in Canyon Country. The owner is a wonderful and sweet Asian lady who always makes me feel like a million dollars. We do all my son’s birthdays here. This last time everything was amazing but the new staff of young female waitresses were extremely snarky and curt. They all had a little funky attitude except for one of them who focused on our table and helped quite a bit. I will address the staff the next time I see the wonderful owner. Service fell short but overall I still recommend this wonderful establishment.

I love this restaurant... I know Korean BBQ and food can be pricey but Charcoal has been around for a while now, and the food is plentiful, reasonably priced and so tasty! They're really generous with their portions and appetizers (they always give us extra but probably because they know us as we are regular customers, ha!) and takeout is so easy to do. The place is always crowded because it's so good and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. It's just one of the hidden gems in Santa Clarita. I enjoy how well this place has come up. The food is better and the sides are good. The recent addition of staff has helped but I still feel sometimes I have to strain to get attention. There's no buttons to call anyone and if you're tucked away it's hard to get consistent service, which is important at kbbq.

There were 20 of us but we were accommodated and got seated right away on a Saturday night at around 7pm.
All of us got the β€œA” $35.99 β€œAll you can eat barbecue”.
The meat and side dishes came out fast, and there were enough staff to help bring out all our orders (side dishes, meat) and change our grilling pan often and consistently.
Parking is ample around the area.
Service is good.
There’s only one thing I don’t like. The exhaust in our table is not efficient enough to suck the smoke out. My eyes were watering with smoke while we were grilling the meat.
I’m happy with the food and service though, so I’d still be back here if I’m around the area despite the smoke.

I have been coming here since the original owners and have always loved it even if the all you can eat menu has continously declined. The main reason I come here is for the cold noodle soup and once again the menu has changed and cold noodle soup was removed. I asked out waiter and he said oh yes we no longer have that so after my meal I asked to speak to the owner and was told there busy and can't talk so I asked why was the cold noodle soup removed and was told oh its on our regular menu (the original waiter told me they no longer serve it). If I had been told correct information I would have gladly paid for it. Bottom line is I won't be coming back. If an owner is to busy to speak to a customer then I'm to busy to support that business and our tab for 2 people is always over 100.00. I really should be giving them a 2 star review.

Brought my son and his friends here for lunch. They open at 12noon. We got there right before they opened.
We sat down almost immediately.

We already knew what we wanted so we ordered right away. Food came quick and service was very friendly.

We did not order ayce. Instead we opted for the 85.99 deal with 5 selections and shrimp fried rice & chicken fried rice on the side. I also ordered mochi ice cream for dessert. Portions are nice size. Grill heated evenly and was changed a couple of times throughout our meal.

Overall great experience.
Only reason I'm giving it a 4 was because the the woman kept reminding me When I was ordering the rice and the mochi that it was "extra"... It was kind of annoying because I was pointing at the menu and the price was right there. I didn't need her to remind me that it was extra every time I ordered something. But overall the woman was very nice and our servers were very nice as well.

I will definitely be coming back!

Really great grill your own KBBQ restaurant. It was busy even at 4pm, but luckily we were able to get seated and served relatively quickly. Typical AYCE fare with tiers that increase in price as you add more variety. Side dishes are decent. We went for the $30/person AYCE and 3 meats, and that hit the spot. If you’re a big eater, this is perfect for you. Parking is easy as the restaurant is located in a plaza.

One of the better Korean restaurants in the SCV and definitely the best kbbq in terms of taste, quality, and attentive service. Unlike ktown waitresses, the staff here actually does look around to see if anyone needs help, I know right...what a concept, but that's not normal in Korean culture. I can say that because I'm Korean ok... whenever we feel like eating somewhat more genuine traditional Korean dishes in the SCV, we end up here... 2nd place goes to Paik Noodles and 3rd Gogi House. Kogiya is OK, too, but this place is #1 for all the reasons stated above. Prices are pretty good, and there is a ton of free parking.

The meats are great however the serving and quantity is what gave the 3 stars. People want to try all the different meats that are on the menu because they all sound delicious. The biggest roadblock on this adventure is that the serve huge amounts of certain meats so that you don't try other meats. If this is being done on purpose then guess what? We are on to you. Please give a good amount that will have us try other types unless we request for a bigger serving. Otherwise what's the point of having a big list if we can't try all of them. Stop giving a lot and start giving enough for us to try other meats.

Reviews are all subjective, but I think this is the best Korean BBQ in town. There's three different levels of all you can eat you can order, so you can save a little per person if you don't need fancier meats. Overall I think they're all pretty reasonably priced. The base AYCE comes with plenty variety of meats for most people, you'll get the mainstays like Bulgogi and Brisket. As of this review, the three price levels are: $29.99, $32.99, and $39.99. What is also nice about this place is that they will bring a whole bunch of small plates of condiments to the table with the AYCE meal. All of the sides are delicious, they're probably my favorite part about this place. They offer a nice break in flavor between all the meat. Some examples of the sides are Kimchi, pickled radish, glass noodles, kimchi pancake, salad, etc. The staff has also always been great in my experience; welcoming, quick, and efficient. The Tempura Green Tea Ice Cream dessert is also delicious, a great way to end the meal. I don't think you can have a bad meal here

Great selection and I'd say it was worth the price if you eat enough. Also they have happy hour at around 4 PM I believe if anyone wants to know

I was excited about eating here, however; I was refused service because it was just me. I was advised it had to be 2 people eating to receive service. I can easily spend 100 by myself but okay. I also put myself on the list and I never received a call. I waited at leas 30 mins before I went back inside to find out the status of my seating. My name was crossed out without notification. Very disappointing.

My wife and I were debating whether we should go here on a Saturday night because a few days later we would be going to Kang Ho-dong Baekjeong in Koreatown.

We decided to go for it and were pleasantly surprised by Charcoal: It's a solid AYCE KBBQ joint and definitely the best I've had in Santa Clarita (granted, I've only had one other KBBQ in Santa Clarita).

My wife and I each got the $29.99 AYCE, exclusively ordering the beef brisket and the boneless short rib.

The brisket definitely satisfied our meat craving.

We didn't like the boneless short rib as much, but perhaps this is because we are more accustomed to the bone-in kalbi (which I believe is available here with one of the more expensive AYCE options).

Well the people were really nice and polite but the food was just ok...it wasn't bad but I have a grandmother who is full blooded Korean and I know good bulrgoi from not so good and the only good thing I can say about the bulrgoi was the amount of meat that they give is very generous... but maybe the cook was having a bad day because it didn't taste like the BBQ I am use to when it comes to it 😏!

Charcoal is easily the best or one of the best Korean BBQ in SCV. Great menu and a clean restaurant. Their service is spectacular with everything timely and attentive waitresses but not annoyingly so. Their pan jan was great, their meats are well-seasoned and marinated.

We get the all-you-can eat when we go so I’m not sure about the broader menu. However, they have a happy hour price for the all you can eat, which doesn’t hurt. It’s a little pricey but very normal for Korean BBQ.

Obviously it’s up to you to prepare the food well, but the food comes ready to be prepared well. Great place, we will definitely be back!

Just went today the food was so delicious, the prices were very reasonable and the staff was so attentive and Amazing I love it!!! It's so hard to find quality Korean BBQs I have been to many of them and I can say without a doubt this is one is the best places I've ever went to. Everything was wonderful and they put alot of meat on your plate. The only ONE TINY THING I wish they had because I believe it's an essential part of Korean bbq is that they DO NOT HAVE rice paper which made me a little sad, BUT THE QUANTITY, QUALITY AND PRICE made up for it. If you're thinking of going here do it, take it from someone who has been to many Korean BBQs all over California.
