I am grateful that there was options for everyone in my family. Vegan options were outstanding and the overall feel was very positive and relaxed. This being a college town, this is a perfect place to have any meal, student or for a family dinner. I will absolutely return.
The pizza was to die for. The tortilla instead of dough blew me away. There was so much flavor. I am lactose intolerant and eating cheese hurts me no matter what, but I had to try the pizza. It was amazing.

Good spot for a quick pick-up. The food is pretty good. I do like their shakes. It's a hit or miss with the staff. Sometimes there are really friendly workers but sometimes not. Lunchtime gets busy so definitely try to order ahead for pickup.

I really liked it but the coffee was dark and I don’t know if they had other choices because they didn’t offer and I’m not a dark roast person. 🤦🏽
The other thing for me is a pet peeve of cafes with a sort of connoisseur vibe but only creamer in the little portable diner servings. 🥴
Seating is mostly outdoor but nice vibe for black pour over dark roast coffee.

Was excited to come here after a hike but the rude ladies working the counter had such an ugly personality with no welcoming vibes, for being my first time (and my last) the word “idk” should not be told to a customer when asking questions, not sure if it was my being or what but my meal came with a side when I told her she stated “oh ya chips that are in front of you or a fruit IDK and went on to name the fruit” thank god I saw the writing under because I wouldn’t of known! just so rude, hopefully the $20 an hour your making they can teach you customer service and treat all people with equality, when getting my food no smile no your welcome just such dry personality and HORRIBLE SERVICE! I will never recommend this place thanks to the horrible service and how ugly I felt waiting for my food knowing I didn’t feel welcomed. To the owner your food was good but due to the service I received this was a 1 time thing.

I ordered an iced oat milk latte and grabbed two prepackaged chocolate covered ice cream cones from the freezer in the front ($18). Both things were absolutely awful. The latte tasted like burnt espresso and had a powdery after taste. I tossed it after a few sips.

The ice cream cones seemed like they started melting but were refrozen. The tops were sloped towards the side of the packaging that was facing down and the bottom of the cones were soggy. Worse yet, my five year old said it tasted "very strange". I showed the employee and she didn't say much. I asked if we could pick a replacement and she agreed. When I looked in the freezer it was dirty inside and along the sides of the retractable door. We didn't grab replacements.

This place seems poorly maintained. If you're in the area charging your vehicle, I recommend walking to the Trader Joe's that's on the other side of this business.

I asked for no ginger, there was ginger in my drink. The juice tasted weird not fresh at all! My tacos had no mushrooms and I wasn’t told, mushrooms are a must for me. If I would have been told I would have selected a different dish. Rice, beans, salsa super bland. Customer service not friendly or inviting. I had high hopes, but this was my first and last time there.

A happy, cheerful place to visit if you want a snack The menu selection is broad and diverse giving you multitudes of healthy, nutritious choices. The service is courteous and prompt and the atmosphere clean and welcoming. Outdoor seating is another plus if you choose.
Hard to beat this tasty "SPOT" located so conveniently on Foothill Blvd next to Trader Joes.

Absolutely delicious worth my time and cash. I’m trying to make healthier food choices and at The Spot Cafe they give you many but very simple options. The Chicken Caesar wrap was delicious and we also ordered the Chicken Cilantro salad and they have vegan options. Food: food is really nice and consistent quality, the names and types of food feel really local and give a nice feel of the "local cafe" very fitting for a cafe named "the spot"

Service: they have very nice and friendly staff here very inviting and helpful and always give good recommendations, Kimberly especially always has good insight and taste and remembers what i usually order

Atmosphere: very nice atmosphere with the friendly staff, fun names to foods, music and ambience. I think they play their own music here witch is nice and refreshing getting a splash of different music tastes from time to time.

Overall a really nice place to get some coffee or a bite to eat by yourself, a friend, a good group. Highly recommend!

Food was so, so bland. Undercooked potato shreds they call 'hashbrowns'. I don't think there was much browning... A soggy white tortilla encasing a tasteless burrito.

It is a nice cafe, located on Foothill Boulevard, between Pomona and Upland, in Claremont, close to downtown area. I have been here, many times. I would come here, to purchase my lunches or coffee. It is conveniently located near my former workplace. The staff, during my visits, were friendly, helpful, and attentive. Furthermore, the lines to order, were not long. Still, wait time was long, since there were a lot of online orders. Nevertheless, I did not mind the wait, since the coffee and meals were delicious. At the same time, the prices were fair. So, if anyone is in Claremont area, I would recommend to stop by this cafe, it is adjacent to Trader Joe's.

Wow!! This place has changed. Still great food and menu items .... but .... you'll pay more and get a lot less in return. It's the new trend, from Chipotle to most any food place; higher prices and less food. I remember when the lids would barely close. Now, it's like, where's the food. Sad to see. Likely only to get protein shakes instead of food. They should do more with the available sitting / eating area outdoors. Could use an upgrade.

This little cafe packs a punch of flavors like their breakfast burritos that contain vegetables and protein, their smoothies are so vibrant with the tastes of apples or oranges and even if you are wanting some greens in the smoothie you can’t even taste the kale when mixed with the other combinations of fruit. Definitely recommend for anyone!

I ordered the vegan burrito and the “healthiest smoothie in here”. The food was okay, but completely bland and salt free. My “spicy” burrito was not spicy at all. The smoothie was bad. It is 95% banana and 5% spinach. Not a hint of PB or Açaí in it whatsoever. I have 4-5 years of experience working in smoothie bars and my tastebuds tell me this is definitely not worth $9. Anyone who’s worked with Açaí knows that even half a packet would’ve turned this cup a deep purple ish brown. I am disappointed. I would recommend going to the real “spot cafe” in Hermosa Beach instead if you are looking for healthy and flavorful food.

It is a nice cafe on Foothill Boulevard in Claremont, located next door to Boca Burger and Trader Joe's! I have been here many times. I would, usually come during my lunch break, or in the morning. I would, usually, order, coffee, or sometimes their sandwiches. The sandwiches, were often delicious, and made in a timely manner. Of course, during noon, it would get crowded. However, the working staff were handling these situations perfectly. In addition, they were helpful and attentive. The prices though were incrementally increasing! Still, they were not on the expensive side. So, I would recommend anyone, who is in Claremont area, to visit this small coffee house!

Came here because I was stopping by with my mama to get an acai bowl, she has cancer but they smoke inside there so I asked them if they could stop and the lady just scoffed at me. save yourself the drama and money and just buy everything you need at Trader Joe's. This isn't the 1930s where everyone smokes not knowing the harm it causes.

UPDATE: i attempted to go alone since I don't want my mom to be disappointed. Vaping is still smoking. I can see it happening in the back in the kitchen at THE SPOT. I assure you I know which establishment is which

CATERING - Ordered 12 smoothies, croissant platter, macaroon platter, assorted wrap platter, and strawberry salad for a tropical themed faculty retreat from The Spot Cafe. It was convenient to order online, and I received a call from the store about easiest way to pick up this large order. Pick-up was less than ideal as the parking lot is awkward to navigate, but Nina helped me carry all to my car. Everything was delicious and the variety met everyone's needs, including those with dietary restrictions. Overall very happy to have this as a nearby, healthy catering option. We will be back!

I'm extremely disappointed.
I run a small business nearby; my team of staff always loved ordering from The Spot. We also see hundreds of clients whom we referred to The Spot regularly. After a few months of consistent (sometimes daily) orders for delivery, we noticed that our orders were almost always incorrect or missing something that we paid for. The Spot was always courteous in returning to our facility to deliver anything that was missing, but eventually it grew to be an inconvenience and we simply stopped ordering from The Spot all together.

Today was the first time in a few months that we tried again (but this time for pick up). I personally picked up the order, and granted it was my mistake to not check the order onsite, the two sandwiches were missing chips and one sandwich looked as if it was just careless thrown together.

Angry and upset, I wanted to leave a poor review. Instead, I first wanted to provide an opportunity for The Spot to make the situation right before telling others to stay clear of this business. I attempted to call to talk to someone - no one answered and the voicemail was not set up to leave a message. After quite a few attempts, someone finally picked up the call (sounding irritated that I had been trying so many times).

I expressed that I was disappointed in the order and I was told that I should have checked and the sandwich was falling apart because I selected gluten free bread, "and that's what you get when you place an order like that". I was offered a gift card or a new sandwich and chips if I was willing to return. Upon stating that I would really love to see another small business thrive and would love to see the accuracy in orders improve, I was aggressively told, "I'm not gonna argue with you about this". I asked the employee to please listen to what I had to say because I, too, have been on the receiving end of negative feedback - I was hung up on. As a fellow customer service provider, I would never in my right mind blame the customer for my mistake and proceed to refuse to listen, then hang up on them. I work hard to train my staff to handle phone calls with poise and appropriate etiquette, and would hope that today was just a tough day at The Spot Cafe.

This is SUPER refreshing and hydrating.

Don't believe the hype. I found the food to be underwhelming at best. It was bland, uncreative and boring. It was packed with college kids so maybe that's their palate. But if you are used to good flavor and creative dishes you won't like this place.

Kale that was tough and hard to chew, shrimp that was under cooked, bowl combos that included weird stuff that didn't go together and odd sauces with a weird aftertaste. Uhg!! Not a fan.

Rude cashier. When I asked if I can some more granola, she gave attitude and said “next time ask for extra granola”. It is $0.50c more.
What is funny is that I “purchased “2 extra toppings for my açaí bowl being one of them granola. If you see the amount of granola you pay for 0.50c you will agree with me that is a rip off. She didn’t let me eat my bowl in the store because she said they were closing.
I can love açaí bowl but I respect myself enough to not coming back to this place at all. It also smells like grease so you won’t get rid of it unless you change your clothes.
With workers like these, no wonder why businesses close down soon.

I am grateful that there was options for everyone in my family. Vegan options were outstanding and the overall feel was very positive and relaxed. This being a college town, this is a perfect place to have any meal, student or for a family dinner. I will absolutely return.
The pizza was to die for. The tortilla instead of dough blew me away. There was so much flavor. I am lactose intolerant and eating cheese hurts me no matter what, but I had to try the pizza. It was amazing.

Good paninis but also got an açaí bowl and it just tasted like juice. No actual substance to the base.

Lost 9lbs on 4 day juice cleanse. Best choice I've made. Great kick start to my diet. Juices all tasted good several were great. Prices are great. I'm going back, then back again.

I had a hummus quinoa bowl and a super antioxidant salad. Amazing. They have vegetarian and vegan options for the non meat eaters. They have all sorts of smoothies, fresh juices. Hair nets would be great, found a surprise in my salad

They are always on point with my juices always happy with there service they do need a little work on Customer service, but I do understand they can get very busy.

A casual health food restaurant with lots of vegetarian and vegan options. There is limited seating indoors and a mid-sized patio outside. The zoodles were pretty good although I'm not a huge fan of their vegan cheese.

Excellent fresh high quality food! Great tasting, too. I'm older, 59, and the music was a bit loud for us, found it hard to order. We sat outside and there is traffic noise. I WILL eat here again just take it to go or order delivery. Awesome food!!!

Waited in a 4 person line that went down to 3 (when 1 person left) for 15 min to order a smoothie. Then, another 25 minutes to receive said smoothie. In fairness, they were dealing with an obscene amount of complaints from all the other people who were waiting. As a former general manager in the restaurant business, I witnessed an unmotivated, frustrated staff that was spread too thin and under prepared. There are many reasons that can happen and it's not always the establishments fault. i.e. power failure the day before, delivery delay, or employee left unexpectedly, etc. Either way, my experience here was horrible this one time. I say that because if it were like that everyday, they would not still be in business.

The one on mountain was closed permanently. So this is the next closest location. Everything takes longer because its not premade. I come here every so often and I've never been disappointed.

Great customer service! The vegan options are delicious. They even have vegan dark chocolate! The staff was accommodating to help make changes to smoothies and vegan substitutes. Been here a couple of times already. I'll be back again, God AllMighty willing.

Awful coffee ugh. Disgusting can't describe it. They should change the coffee filter every once in a while. It tastes as if they use old socks for coffee filters. Anything to save a buck I guess. Ohh my stomach is hurting just thinking of the nauseating taste. It also took over 20 minutes to get my cup. My cup was cold too. I just wish a Starbucks would replace it. That would be nice.

Kudos for the great menu. Our group was 2 normals, a gluten free, a gluten free dairy free vegan, and a no fructose dairy free vegetarian. (Exhausting! to try to feed us) I was happy to see a line = want them to stay in business. On a sunny spring day, the outdoor seating was pleasant. Seating indoors seemed tight / the area where the line forms is tight. Lots of foods to choose from, and we were all happy with our meals.
