I was just there and there were THREE employees in bullet-proof vests saying “Loss Prevention.” If the management of the store thinks it’s that unsafe to be there, it’s not a place I would recommend going.

Hostile environment. The older women working at the fitting room is extremely rude and unprofessional. I was looking at a painting and tried putting it back on the rack but it didn't fit. I didn't want it to fall so I leaned it against the other same paintings. She walked over to the paintings and shouted " I have to go out of my way to put this painting back. This painting is so hideous". Then proceeds to give me dirty looks the whole time in shopping in that section. I finally got tired of it and smiled at her because maybe she needed to see someone happy. That apparently got her upset and she laughed very loud in rude way. It make sense Ross has her working in the back.

This location has always had poor service and they tend to push people to the self check out. I was the only one in line, but the cashier Cecilia decided to go clear all loose items in the line and then by the time she finally got back to the register there were 8 people in line with me. Service and quality are not their priority at this location.😱😥

I haven't been here fur a few years after the whole ridiculous covid lines... I went this week and it's still ridiculous. There's a rope line outside and you're greeted by an employee asking you how many in your party to enter the store....(what is this a ride?)... when it was time to pay, we headed to the self checkout lines and the employee ask if we have 8 items or less... are you serious?? It would have been helpful if there was some sign up that specified that. But we had to go back in line. Shopping in store here is so ridiculously stupid. I understand there's high theft, but this control they're enforcing takes away the shopping experience. I think I'm ok not coming back here again. I mean there's really nothing here worth shopping for 😅

I came to this location on my lunch. Had to grab a quick outfit for work got some slacks a shirt and some sling backs for 50 dollars. Was in and out in a timely manner there were several lines open even self check out as well. Nice selection of clothing, nice layout of store everything was pretty easy to find. I would come back again

Terrible customer service! I wanted to buy a necklace from the jewelry section and I asked one of the cashiers if anyone is gonna help me and she said we’ll be right there, just give us a second!! Then I stood there waiting for 20 mins!! Then I went back and I talked to another worker and she told me the best thing to do is to go in line and to ask and that’s what I did from the very beginning and that’s what I told the cashier and she’s like “ I’m sure she was too focused on helping the customers” like am I not considered a customer as well! Will never be coming here, very rude cashiers!

There is an old lady that worked the self checkout counter on 4/17/2024 at noon by the name of Lydia. She was loud and rude to begin with but after asking us to put the hangers on the side, she says "Good job young man, that wasnt so hard was it?" to my dad. I found that to be a little rude so I stared at her until she asked "Are you mad at me?" Obviously this lady knows she said something to upset me. I dont think thats how Ross employees should talk to their customers. Everyone else was nice and I had no issues with my shopping experience besides this lady.

I don't usually write reviews, but the events that unfolded today warrants a review. I was in the check out line and stood there for about 5 minutes and neither one of the two cashiers that were standing there, not attending any customers, offered to help me check out. I noticed the self check out that said only 8 items, but it was either check out myself or keep standing there until the two cashiers and the loss prevention person were ready to stop their talking with each other or texting on their phones to help me. The only person that helped was the employee taking off the security tags. I used the self check out and as I approached the loss prevention person she told me that next time I had to be checked out by a cashier Honestly, they shouldn't have employees like that working there. Theybecause my items exceeded the limit. I promptly replied that if they were doing their job, I would have not had to go that route. When the cashier heard me she muttered under her breath and dismissed me with a rude look.

What happened Ross?

Not only do you have 4 loss prevention people but 4 undercover shoppers. Trying to decrease theft. Okay but what happened next blows my mind.

I mistakenly went into the self check out and had 9 items. I had to give one up to keep the line moving because I was holding it up. The person (because I don’t know if there were a cashier, associate or theft specialist) did not let me pass without removing one. I do so and then I’m allowed to walk forward, scan my items and bag them. I have a loss prevention person highlight my receipt and look inside my bag. This guy was watching me the whole time.

Not only do I not want to go back, I am telling others not too. Rather pay more money to have it delivered then enter your creepy store and not have a nice experience.

This is the second time I have gone to this Ross (in Downey) in a week since I had to make a return. They do not have a separate return line, so you have to wait in line with those making a purchase. I decided to make a purchase and return my item and although they had two individuals in the jewelry department just talking to each other and another, taking off security tags for those in the self check out they only had one cash register opened. It took 30 minutes to check out with 5 people in front of me. Last week, it was even longer, with only 1 register opened. Not to mention, although they are well stocked, they have the dirtiest changing rooms I've seen in any ross I took a picture and got out i had the flash on but the seats were too dirty to sit on. Just disgusting that they show that they don't care about quality customer service.
