Went yesterday, Oct. 29th. One register open, and the line was all the way back into the second section of the store. Turned around and left. You would think the manager would be a team player and step up. Stood locked up in their little cubby hole. Does not give a hoot about its customers. Need a new team player manager. I wish corporate would have walked in and seen it. Better yet, replace with a better manager.
Was not a happy camper when I left. I like shopping there. Have seen this a few times already. Left every time.

However she took too long helping the ppl in front and later changed her mind and told me and another person we were no longer her last customers and made us go to the back of another line. Had we known she would do that we would have left and went to the other one long ago. Waited 30mins for nothing! What a joke of customer service. At least do what you say you are going to do.

Store manager Daniela would not come out of her office to help customers. Every time you ask for help she's rude and never wants to check backroom for the product. She doesn't care if the lines are long. Daniela likes her office more.

Well, dollar tree is no longer dollar tree as far as prices. All prices went up except frozen food. This location is usually my go to store. It is big, clean and now more organized.

Workers are rude. One worker yelled for me to go put back an item I didn't want, because she didn't want to do her job. Lines are always long when they have 4 employees but only one lane open.

This DOLLAR TREE is probably the most messy, understocked Dollar tree I've gone to. Most Dollar Trees I've gone to have some disorganization but the one in Downey is by far the worst I'VE been to.

The only problem I had with this dollar tree was at checkout. There was only one lane open with about 10 people in line while three other employees where chit chatting in a huddle. When a customer approached them and asked if they could open another lane, their respinse was that they were on lunch break; all at the same time. The cashier called for backup and no one showed up.

I really like this Dollar Tree! I like it so much because I use a wheelchair and it is so easy for me to move around in the store, and for my husband to help me. I feel that the employees are polite and helpful and most of the customers are very nice and respectful; they are very well disciplined. I know that things have gone up and the prices are now $1.25, especially in all Dollar Trees. However, I still think that it is all worth the price due to my budget plans. Most Dollar Trees carry different things and the same things as well and all are cute. Have fun! Save money! And be prepared, because shopping here is really addicting... Lol! Enjoy your day and shopping. By the way, the parking is not bad at all.

Every time I come to this store there is only one cashier and the line goes way to the back. Today I asked the lady any other cashiers and she said we don't while the manager is sitting with another worker in the office for a while. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

Don't know if this is the correct store but thought I would share this
While skimming through my local Dollar Tree, (Downey, CA) there were several associates stocking shelves. One woman was helping a young man learn how to put items in order on the shelves. He obviously had a disability. She was so kind to him and answering his questions without talking down to him. He asked why people work. She said, to earn money instead of asking others for it, and to be independent. He was very happy with that. The other associate also was very encouraging to him. When they left him to work independently he struck up a conversation with me and told me he was from PALS, a local organization whose mission is to find meaningful work-related activities for adults with disabilities. He was so proud. 🥰. I wish I had taken the time to get their names. I chatted with him for a bit, told him he was doing a terrific job and keep up the good work. I wanted to share because it was a heartwarming moment. Blessings to those associates willing to help this young man and do it in such a kind and loving way. By the way, he told me, those are his friends. And I believe him. 🖤

Every time I’m here, I tell them I don’t want any bags. Then they charge me for bags even though I told them not to. They refuse to remove the charge for the bags. This happens every time. You’ll get charged for plastic bags whether you take them or not.

Long lines and don't even have a lot of suff on the shelf. Before everything was a $1 now they changed it to $1.25. That why I give it 3 stars because it wasn't great but at the same time it wasn't bad I wouldn't say in line for like 1 or 2 thing.

This is the 4th time I come around to ask to use the restroom and they tell me no. 9/2/21 10:40 am only one chunky older lady at the checkout and she said "uhhmmmm noo the restrooms aren't working. Maybe come back in a week" she literally was thinking of ways to say no. I get it. Look lady idk why u guys be acting like you got a stick up ur a$$. You got yourself in that job but don't take it out on customers and lie to them. I work too and I've seen workers do what you do, I wasn't born yesterday I know what you guys do with that unprofessionalism. This store is no good to be honest. Based off the reviews I have to agree. For being in Downey you all deserve for your store to be near skid row so you can appreciate where your store is located and to appreciate your customers that bring business. This Dollar Tree looks worse every time I go there lately. I was there 2 days ago. There was flooding towards the back of the furthest isle to the left as you walk in. Today there flooding (blocked off with shopping carts) in the isle adjacent. So now it's two isles. It's dangerous for people especially children and the elderly. There are usually long lines here as well. I want to know what the Manager/ Company are doing about this hot mess. This is an accident waiting to happen!

I Went Back 2 different times within the same week and see. that there was rat poop on top of the flour tortillas I showed it to the workers and they either said they would get to it or they were going to tell the manager. Nothing was done. I wish I was able to insert the picture I took of it. Just gross.

You can find some great things here for just a buck! I especially love shopping here for all the holidays. They have have cute little knick knacks and what not. Also, lots of cards, some are 2 for $1. A lot cheaper than $3 to $7 at a regular store. And those fake flowers that Michael's sells for $3 to $5 each, they have them here. Maybe not quite to selection, but again, for a buck each? I will day don't expect too much on the high quality side. Ya know what they say, "You get what you pay for."

But all in all, I love coming here.

Well organized and a lot of things for the garden. Votive candles (great for baptisms and first communion). They also have plastic cemetery vases. I usually cone here for decorations. They are inexpensive and can be used every year. Scrapbooking stuff and crafts for the kids.

When I walked into the building the store was very clean and organized. However my complaint is that when I was ready to checkout. Only 1 register was open. There was a lot of customers waiting in line. The cashier was by herself I don't know where the other cashier was at or if the manager was even there. Maybe they were on the office or something. There is no way of seeing them because even though the office is right next to the registers the window is tainted and you cannot see who is in there.

Typically, a better place to shop for your Christmas packaging supplies. This store tends to stock up heavily on the holiday gift bags and small metallic boxes and paper gift boxes for shirts and small clothing items.

Like all stores in California, the plastic bags they sell for 10 cents is the multi-use plastic bags that are sturdier than the single use free ones that were offered in the past.

The organization of the items can be haphazard, but most of the seasonal items are placed in front of the entrance, while the household items are on the far wall and across from the cashiers.

They could however...turn the air conditioning on a bit...it was pretty warm when I was there...I cut my visit short because I couldn't stand how warm it was in the store...I don't know how your employees deal with that...I feel bad for them... Other than that it was a very nice visit and I recommend it to everyone...It was well-stocked and a well-kept store!!!

The bathroom situation is completely disgusting there is dirty toilet paper all over the floor there was crap all on the wall no fresh toilet paper in any of the Stalls you could tell nobody cleans this bathroom in any given time of the day walking in I just felt disgusted with myself..
