The customer service is outstanding and the restaurant is clean and comfortable. Indoor and outdoor options, television, and kid friendly.

today i went to the hummus factory with my wife - in Downey location.

we got the chicken plate.
and honestly the quality of the food was very high.
excellent standard.
the balance of the flavor is excellent.
the flavor of the chicken is amazing.
the presentation of my plate was super decent 👌👌.
i have been in different Mediterranean food services but this place is one of the best places to enjoy the Mediterranean Cousine.
we had a very nice moment.
and the guys are very kind.
everything was very fresh and super delicious.

Hummus factory, you should stick to hummus ONLY. I decided to do something nice for my brother that’s in the hospital not far away from this location and I regret it. I’m not complaining bout the price, price itself is reasonable if we are talking about the portions on the plates but like any other restaurants, taste is more important and that’s where they lack. Hummus was good and so was the salad as it was fresh. I ordered two protein plates that came with chicken and beef. My chicken was over cooked and dried and absolutely no salt in it. It was so bland, you could only taste what it seemed to me cinnamon and maybe coriander but no SALT to it. Did I say it was dry? Because it left me wanting to drink water . Plain water has more taste than this plate. Rice was cooked ok but also missing seasoning. The beef was somewhat well cooked. I should have known this place would be a bad idea the minute I realized they also serve a small menu of Mexican food. You absolutely can’t combine two different styles of dishes in one place unless you actually know how to do it well. Another clue I should’ve known, it was dinner time and it only had two customers eating.
I’m very surprised and disappointed this place gave me bland food to go considering they have several locations like in Mahattan Beach and for that reason I blame not necessarily the restaurant but management who’s in charge of training the cooks to cook good food. I’m sure this isn’t how the food is supposed to taste. For me to take the time to write a review and tell people to skip this spot says a lot about what I was giving to eat. My total was around $45.00 dollars this evening and all I enjoyed was the salad and hummus on a plate they have name as the “protein plate”.

Small Mediterranean/Mexican place with a short fresh menu of Greek/Lebanese/Mexican dishes. We went for a late lunch so it was pretty empty, but it had seating for over 70 and separate kids tables.
The Appetiser Combo was almost a meal for 2 on its own, the Gyro (beef) was excellent as were the kebabs (chicken & beef). All sorts of sides topped of a great lunch. 4 Mexican beers available, didn’t see any wine choices though. Too far from home for me to go regularly but if you are in Downey (LA) area you can get a really good meal at cheap eats prices.

Got the chicken kabob plate and it came with rice, salad, peta bread and the chicken. To be honest it was okay. My favorite part from the entire meal was the hummus. Not sure if it was underwhelming because it was almost closing time but it wasn’t what I expected.

I checked this place out for the first time today and I decided to order the chicken kebab wrap. I waited 15 minutes for my food and when it was finally ready it was literally ice cold, as if someone took it out of the refrigerator, and just placed it in a bag.

After notifying the woman at the register she told me they can “warm it up for me” that’s when I requested that it be remade completely since it wasn’t made correctly in the first place. She told me it would be another 15 minutes …

3 minutes later she hands me another wrap that is warm to the touch, i inspect it before I leave and notice it’s the most sloppily made wrap I’ve ever seen, the lettuce was hot, the pita was soggy and falling apart, and it was clear that they simply warmed up my wrap instead of making it the correct way. I 100% will not be visiting this restaurant again. Terrible experience. They’re also extremely overpriced and the chicken was bland and over cooked

First and foremost, the falafel wrap was appetizing and the iced green tea with lemon was delicious, too. Ana is a great server and provided expectional customer service. I went about her recommendation on trying a different item off the menu from what I regularly eat. Retrospectively, it wasn't anything short of being great, I'll recommend fellow causal customers to dine in or perhaps extend their taste buds. Perfect for trying a Mediterranean diet or for a small date, one should make this into a habit, it's worth the cost.

Food was delicious! The salad has fresh veggies. Crunchy lettuce, crispy tomato red tomato, juicy cucumber, and the chicken was cooked perfectly, and the dressing was the right Mediterranean dressing!. The side of hummus is a must if you getting a salad to fill you up. Everything was delicious. Not to mention the place is very clean, and the customer service was to remember! Beautiful people and very courteous always anticipating your needs. I'm happy I came. Thank you :)

This used to be my go-to. I actually love the food. I was recently disappointed with the fact that they no longer include garlic sauce in their orders. They changed the size of the cucumber sauce down to 1 ounce sizes instead of two. How cheap can you get? I pay over $20 for a single plate whenever I order and used to always request an extra cucumber sauce with no problem. As customers we DO NOTICE these little things and it just seems greedy to not even add standard side sauces that every kabob restaurant adds with no problem.

This place was good before prices increased. $3.50 extra on an already $19 plate? No drink? No side? No increase in food? Damn near $25 after taxes, couple more dollars you're basically at a sit-down restaurant, might as well get your full value. I see this place closing down soon cuz I don't see anybody paying that price, 25 bucks can go a long way at more places.

Place is really good. I love their falafel. Most of my family loves their chicken. They do not open at 11am though, they open when it pleases them? Its 1116 and doors are still locked. Guess ill go to the green olive, but the food here is the best.

This place is scam , i wasted $17 on 2 small pieces of kufta/lulu kobab and some rice .
Like realy man ?
The lulu kobab size is too tiny and so small you should correct the situation you either ad 1 more piece or lower the price .
Also all Mediterranean restaurants includes salad with the order except this guy you will have to pay for the salad .
THIS IS COMPLETELY A JOKE RESTAURANT .
i bet the owner is so stingy .

I visited last week and the week prior due to a Groupon but was pleasantly surprised both times at how delicious every item I received was. The first time I got the three meat plate. Beef, chicken and kebab. Beef was cooked exactly as I ordered it, medium. Chicken was tender, a little bland but the garlic sauce quickly fixed that. Hummus was exactly what you'd expect and the salad was fresh and tasty. Second time I got the chicken wrap and a little too much sauce for my taste but overall delicious.

To begin with the staff is friendly, however I had one of the worst falafel sandwich the falafel balls were soggy undercooked ( where they should be crisp & crunchy) not to mention how sloppy was the wrap filling that's too much to stuff it like that.

I ordered the protein meal and I must say it was truly a disappointment. The chicken was bone dry, and very bland. The meat like mentioned by others was very tough, and chewy. The basmati rice was fantastic, and the gyro meat was great. The salad left much to be desired, but served its purpose as a side salad. The hummus was average, but there was no complaints there. The tzatziki had no flavor, and was almost 100 percent Greek yogurt. The baklava was not worth the purchase as it was as half hearted as most of the meal. Over all I would steer clear, and will personally not return.

Walking by this place it smelled great and a lot of nice looking people eating inside and out. We decided to go in and have lunch to go. The chicken wrap was fantastic. Large side of fries. Really really good and a fair size. Only downside always the price. I think for lunch anything over $10 is just too much unless you are going to a real restaurant, sit down, order, etc. This is more cafeteria style and wait for your #/name to be called. Very good food, cooked to order, and clean. I'll go back, just after I go to the atm!

I have mixed feelings about this place. Generally service is great. Parking is sometimes good, sometimes not. I love some of the dishes and not so much others. It's not across the board a hit for me.
Falafel is nice and crunchy on outside but too salty for me. And baba ganoush is too smoky. Tabbouleh has too much onion and not enough grain in my opinion. I don't think onion should even be in tabbouleh! They give one piece of regular pita and one piece of whole wheat. I prefer their regular. Not sure if they'd let me choose, I never think to ask when ordering. That's why I'm not a regular customer.
When I'm in the area and wanting hummus, I'll visit. Love their hummus. And their fries!

It's a nice place for a very casual meal. Given that it's not a full service restaurant but works more like a fast food place, I found it a bit pricey. Additionally, they also have a Mexican menu under a different restaurant name so you go this place just for the food not for the experience.
