Was craving BBQ and Jake's is closest. Food was disappointing. Chicken was Luke warm and it tasted day old, as did the ribs. Food all tasted extremely reheated but with tasty bbq sauce. Beans were not what I expected so we didn't eat them. Baked potato was best on the plate.

Got hungry after car shopping n Raman shop I want to go happen to be close on Tuesday so want to try beef rib n happen to come across this place. Not a fan of pork rib, so got the half rack (4 ribs). It was huge n taste very good. Worth the money. Meat was a little bit on the dry side n sauce was very good too. The 4 ribs is $21.95 plus $2.95 for the side. Can’t complain

At first it may seem odd that I chose to order a steak at a BBQ restaurant, but that's what I was in the mood for and their reviews looked positive. A placard outside the front door also advertised their ribeye, which only reinforced my decision. Interior decor is very colorful and cool, I like all the effort put into the license plate collection. The staff was primarily young but they did a good job, sometimes two different people stopping by the table to ask the same question, and my food was served very quickly. The ribeye was a decent size and too well done for what I asked for (likely because of how thin it was), but still juicy and edible. The only seasoning I tasted was pepper, so it could have used some salt prior to cooking. It's certainly reasonable for the $30 print point, so as long as your expectations are aligned it was acceptable. The coleslaw was nice and creamy, but could have used a bit more sweetness. Beans were undercooked and many were still too firm/crunchy, but the sauce they were in was tasty.

We really wanted to like this place given the reviews and the recommendation of a local, but we just didn’t.
I’ll start off by saying the servers were very friendly, attentive, and the food was out quickly.
The onion rings were really good, they were the best part of the meal. Awesome ranch dressing also (you know how that can be hit or miss).
Two of our guests shared the 5 sliders with pork and tri-tip. Both tasted good, however the onions kind of overpowered the tri-tip and the pork was chewy.
The Mac n cheese really didn’t have much flavor, the noodles were pretty soggy and floppy.
I had the pulled pork plate with coleslaw and fries. Again, the pork was really chewy, but also dry, and there was very little of it. For $17 I got a plate overflowing with fries and a side of pork. The coleslaw was fresh and tasted good, good fries. The bite of corn muffin that I had was overdone and dry as could be.
My husband had the kickin chicken sandwich-it was supposed to be spicy and was not. Nothing special about it.
The place is clean, there are neat signs and license plates all over the walls. However, we would not come back.

This place was recommended to us by some of my mom’s coworkers. We came in hungry and excited for some barbecue! However, the food quality left us both feeling a bit disappointed. I ordered the tri tip dinner with mixed veggies and mac & cheese. The tri tip was just thin, grilled pieces of beef with a sweet bbq sauce slathered on. The mixed veggies reminded me a lot of the frozen veggies I buy from the store (it was a mix of broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots), and the mac & cheese tasted like it came from a chain buffet. The dinner also came with a blueberry cornbread muffin that was a bit dry.
My boyfriend ordered the baby back ribs and made the same comment about it seeming store-bought, which surprised me as I hadn’t even mentioned my own opinions yet.
The service was good, though. Our waitress was very friendly, helpful, and easy to talk to. As far as atmosphere goes, there was a Dodgers game being shown on the TV, and someone sitting nearby us kept shouting while everyone else seemed to just want to eat and talk with their family/friends, so it was a bit disruptive.
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place. Even if Jake’s Roadhouse doesn’t serve any frozen or store-bought items, the fact that it tastes like they do is already enough to dissuade me from returning here.

Breakfast burrito the bomb, ask for the red salsa, it's perfect for the burrito.... very satisfying. I recently had a chicken sandwich, it was juicy, brioche bun, 8oz chicken breast, juicy, lettuce and tomato, hit the spot...a must try if your a chicken sandwich person...i came back to try the TONY'S HOT cheese burger, the picture speaks for itself, thick juicy beef patty on a brioche bun, this one had some hot peppers that gave good kick, avocado lettuce, tomato, all fresh....I was super stuffed and couldn't breathe, but it was worth it....a must try.... TONY'S HOT cheese burger, very good 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

PEANUT ALLERGY WARNING: Every table comes with a complimentary bucket of peanuts in shells. The peanuts are eaten with the shells being tossed onto the floor afterward.
I find that really unsanitary. Mixed with the peanut shells is old food that's fallen on the floor because they're not sweeping up those shells. I don't know how often the restaurant gets swept because we show up pretty much when the place opens and there are always shells all over the floor.
A full stack of pancakes also cost me $11.45. Four pancakes. That's it. It didn't include any sides or proteins; there was nothing wow about it. At that price, I expected to be impressed by it. I wasn't.
I'm talking about the Lemon Raspberry Pancakes. It was topped with a little bit of butter (which looked like it had some blended up raspberries in it), powdered sugar, a small handful of fresh raspberries and some raspberry syrup on the side. It seems like a popular dish and it wasn't bad, however it wasn't "$11.45 for four pancakes great" either. I only ate one and took the rest home. I tried their Egg White Omelette as well and that was very underwhelming in flavor.
The ambience feels very welcoming and service is topnotch. Everyone there is super friendly and very attentive. I don't know if it's because we only go for early breakfast and it isn't busy or what but they're really on top of refills and asking you how things are tasting, if you need anything, etc. It's super kitschy and really casual. It has a real neighborhood bar and restaurant feel and is very family friendly.
I'll have to come back and give their BBQ a try.

I came, I saw and I'll never be coming back...I am so disappointed.
Inside, the place looked great; beautiful space with gorgeous wood panel walls and a very clean "collector" decorated aesthetic that had a level of coziness to it. Felt like I was in the right spot.
Then started feeling that a little less after looking at the menu. From experience in the Mid-west and South, BBQ owners who know what people want and want to show off their mastery generally offer a range or variety of combination plates to highlight their expert cooks and hook the customer into having at least one favorite...this place doesn't seem to either know that or have a mastery of BBQ because they don't even have brisket, pulled pork or pulled chicken and what is offered is lacking in variety for a decent price. You want 2 meats you say that aren't the cheapest cuts? Here it's $40 and up...tisk tisk. As I am not a restauranteur, it's hard to speculate why BBQ is so expensive and in California, it seems to be the universal truth and this place is no different. The cheapest combo they offer is $25 which is chicken and a link...what a shame what a shame.
As a first time customer and forever weary of a place that looks good but doesn't smell like smoke, eased in with a "Big D's" combo which consisted of half a smoked chicken and smoked sausage link in spicy sauce with Mac and cheese and steamed vegetables. Full DISAPPOINTMENT! Chicken was dry in some parts and under cooked in others. Although the sauce was good, it was the only thing that contained smoked and with the chicken having no char or gristle, there wasn't any evidence this thing saw a grill, flame or any heat...dare I say it was microwaved. Everything else was so lackluster, it's a waste of time to even describe. The chicken was so awful I only ate a quarter of it and sadly, had to throw it away which is something I can never bear to do when it comes to an animal losing their life to be just a full waste.
All in all, a huge let down and bummed to find yet again, another whack and overinflated BBQ joint that has no problem charging a high price for low quality.

My husband and I have been coming to Jake’s for over 26 years. This is a family run restaurant and they are “all in”, striving for delicious dishes, great service and an all around welcoming environment. Our family favorites are the ABT Omelette, Lemon-Raspberry Pancakes, the Pulled Pork Sandwich and Onion Rings. The coffee is always good and hot and your cup is rarely empty. All in all, this place is a high quality place with high quality food, delivered by high quality servers.

Food is good. Really is. If all you care about is food then you're good to go. Their customer service on the other hand is terrible. I understand explaining rules or policies and am fine with that but the delivery is important. Manager was incredibly rude and cold when he spoke to us. Literally made me cry. Even our server was just acting like he didn't care and didn't want to be there. We have gone many a times and have frequently had issues with staff but I don't think we will be going back again. This was too much. Also, side note, if your not going to have a build your own combo, you should allow for substitutions. Esprcially for people with serious allergies (like myself) or people who are observing certain religious events. I get it is policy but at least be consistent about your policy and don't be curt or mean when explaining it to people who have had it bent before. Very confusing and very rude. It is unfortunate that the food is so good.

Been coming here for long time. Always get there burgers and always on point. Tonight tried something different. There beef ribs sounded good so I ordered them. They Were a total disappointment. They were so tough and were not slow cooked as they stated. Had no grill taste and was just covered in sauce. They exchanged them for pork ribs. They were also a disappointment . Seem like they took them out of refrigerator and microwaved them with too much sauce. Had no flavor and were dry. For a place that claims they cook bbq was a total disappointment. I honestly think a Mc rib from McDonald's is better. I Will not order bbq from this place again. Management did not even come to apologize for there sub par food. But was charged full price for sub par food.. Very disappointing.
