Love this place because they stay open till midnight, great prices, staff has always greeted and treated me well. However if you are a introvert I don't recommend coming here after 10pm just to many druggies/homeless/mental health issue type of people that hang around outside and inside the store, if not for this reason I would give it a 5star

Today I ordered Instacart and the milk, Greek yogurt, and cottage cheese all expired a week ago. Have you ever heard of FIFO or checking dates when you rotate stock?

This place has gone down hill, went back after 3 years of living next to the beautiful food max in Carmichael on Manzanita Ave. Coming here all the veggies and fruit is bad old and moldy when looking at it, fruit flies everywhere no shopping carts to be found at all you have to walk around the parking lot just to find a cart and even after that the cart is old and doesn’t work properly. I’m going back to the Food Max in Carmichael where the store is much cleaner and produce isn’t expired.

Picked up a bday cake and within 30 minutes the frosting melted off the top and the top layer slid off. Worst cake ever thanks for ruining the birthday. Was a local shopper who came in all the time and now I’ll not step foot in this store. Put some care into your work.

There’s an overgrown rat working at the self checkout. She was hovering over everyone at self checkout and was constantly eyeballing my purchases. She chased after a couple people that left the store and I saw her place a hand on one of them. It was so unprofessional! Would not recommend coming here!

I like Food Maxx. I used to shop there all of the time. But lately I've been going elsewhere. Food Maxx has a new policy where they park their shopping carts all the way at the other end of the building. I'm handicapped and it makes it really hard to get to a cart. Also they discontinued a lot of the WIC products. I can no longer get the Sara Lee bread, eggs, milk, yogurt. I go to Bel Air. I can get everything there. And it's too hard for me to shop both stores. So sad.

Staff very rude mall shopping carts available once asked he said we don’t have anyone to Bring carts in and there is one old man on the register all the time complaining that he’s working long hours on the register And want not too many customer inside the store, Only one register opens for helping customer people waiting for long times in the line..

⚠️Mentally ill man runs through the store he thought someone was after him running into the innocent customers. No security was there. Everyone was afraid the mentally ill man swings at customers missing
finally a customer offers the ill man a cigarette in front entry of the store.
The ill man runs outside.
The cashiers didn’t care about the safety of the customers they were concerned about the lines instead of calling security.
I won’t be shopping at Food Max any more
⚠️it’s unsafe no security guards Give the employees a raise. Hood store. Food Max you gotta do better to keep your valued customers and employees Safe and unharmed.

I always go here and I need to get a handful of things. So I usually don’t get a cart but it never fails when I do that thing that happens to every person that has entered the store. I’m the guy that has to balance all of his stuff as well as possible before it all comes back in the form of a wave. LOL There’s always something here that is priced lower than what you would expect to see… I don’t mess around anymore and I just pick up my cart at the front of the store instead of looking for and borrowing one from someone who has just lost site of theirs!! Kidding - I would never do that- - - again.

It was a quick trip into the store to get my nephew some watermelon. The store was very clean. People were still wearing masks. I had to ask a sales associate a question and was was friendly and very helpful.
My nephew, who is 2, wanted to get an apple as well. While my hands were full he took a bite out of it. The manager laughed and said no worries the apples on me today. I did try to pay for it the manager refused my money.
They have really cleaned up the area. Changing from a Raleys to a Food

I actually really like this store the walkways are wide things are pretty easy to find I came in to do some shopping around noon on Labor Day, yeah I know not a smart time but I was blown away at how fast they were getting the customers through the lines and with great attitude all while doing it. I’ll definitely be a returning customer when I’m in the area 👍🏽

The workers are lazy and rude. 1 cashier working on the 1st of the month. Line into produce. I decided to go to self check out and not only does it not hold all your food, it also keeps messing up and the woman working self check out is lazy and just stood there. This store has gone waaaay down hill. Sad. I used to love this store.

Used to love coming here. Until today when the male cashier with the ponytail and another male customer made very rude comments about me and my child while I was trying to bag my groceries. Calling my 3 year old ridiculous for not wearing a mask and saying they hope his germs don't waft over their way. The cashier was directly behind my back.

This my spot for inexpensive groceries and some bulk items. Produce selection is super fresh and awesome! They’re open till midnight every night, which I’m thankful for because I can’t seem to make it to the grocery store before 11pm.🙄🤷🏼‍♀️

I seen a bunch of moldy bread and expired food for sale and most if not everything was more expensive than Safeway for the same products, the only reason you would go here is if your desperate or I'd you need Mexican items because they have a lot of those. Besides that no deals here, I'd rather just shop at Bel-Air, I pay the same as here but fresh everything

I used to like this place. Lately it's gone downhill. Very few cashiers and most of them are not good at their job. (Except the guy with long hair) also only 2 of their 7 auto check out machines were working. Also the large blonde lady who seems to be in charge is very rude. What happened to this place?
