Upon entering I immediately knew they were severely understaffed however I gave sympathy to the fact that service was slow due to that reason however the gentlemen was very mono toned and not friendly whatever people have bad days I proceeded to pay for the lunch buffet. The food looked sad. Pizza was dry definitely not at holding temperatures I’m like okay it’s just pizza however I get to the salad bar! I notice the salad fixings are soggy and brown looking. This sometimes happens when fresh vegetables are exposed to air, however the bite is what did it the mushrooms were soggy with mildew. The beets tasted like they were old and improperly stored.

I immediately knew at that point I would end up with some sort of food borne illness if I stayed and ate. They were kind with giving me a refund.

My suggestion would be to check that salad bar for freshness. Pizza is an easy thing to pass off as being dried out vs non fresh vegetables.

Mountain Mike's pizza never fails to disappoint, and I've never had a problem with my order here either. The pizza is a bit on the pricey side but it's good and that's what matters. The inside is clean and pretty spacious. Plenty of seating for large groups and gatherings, a few big screen tvs to watch the games. Salad bar is nicely stocked with all the fixings you can ask for. They have a couple beers on tap, nothing fancy. Nice place to sit and eat, carry out and delivery is an option in the area, just expect deliveries to take about an hour or so. Staff is friendly. Open until 10pm on the weekdays.

As always, I wait quite a while before posting reviews until I have a solid idea of my rating. Today, was no exception to the brilliance of Mountain Mike's. My go to is the Snowy Alps and they crushed it!!! On time. Hot. And perfectly proportioned. Again, I have eaten here many times and simply put, the get it! Not sure about other locations but this one is well run.

Looks like a new owner has taken over. But the service has not changed, although we did show up just a couple minutes after 2:00 there were items on the buffet. They cleared up and handed out to a local person in need. I give them 10 stars for that if I could.

Not coming here again. 9/15/2023 at 1:00 pm worse service !!! Male 2 guys rude took for ever to take out the pizza and they were not even busy !! I spend 45.00 and definitely Do NOT recommend , there’s was other guess asking for pizza too and they said eat your salad. Duh who wants salad with no pizza. Come one guys. Worse experience ever. My husband picked up our order. Upon arrival back home, we opened and realized we were given the wrong pizza. We called right away to inform the person who gave him the order.Employee refused to have a new pizza delivered even with receipt or exchange of the pizza, refused to accept responsibility for the mistake, accused us of lying that the order was wrong because HE was the person to box it up. He claimed he was the manager and immediately hung up on me after. We ended up getting Taco Bell after driving all the way back and getting a full refund and returning the entire order. I will never recommend not return to this location ever again. I'd give negative stars if I could.

Mountain Mike's pepperoni pizza is GOOD. I have had many of the popular pizza places pizzas. But if
haven't try Mountain Mike's then should. Pizza is kinda a personal thing. I like a meaty tasting sauce. Mountain Mike's uses lots of little pepperoni's there a little different from the "norm". Worth a try .

Avoid this mountain Mike’s pizza in North Highlands. Big Indian guy wears a raiders hat trying to sell dried up pizza at the Buffet with one trip to the salad bar with no drink for $18. There is a reason why the place is empty. I wouldn’t feed the pizza to my dog that’s how bad it looked seriously

Went here with my wife and daughter. Got three pizzas and drinks. As usual my four year old waits until we are in the car before realizing she has to use the potty. We go back inside and use restroom. When we go to leave the same guy who delivered our food tells us that we should buy something next time. They only had one other customer the whole time so wasn't because of too many people.

I normally love mountain mikes, the pizza was dry and hardish. The chicken had barely any flavor and the cheese sticks were like cheese on fluffy cardboard. The customer service was good though, only reason for the 2 stars.

This place is terrible. Every time I come here my pizza is made wrong. I always have to come pick it up because if I get delivery it’s never right. Tried to give them another chance tonight and guess what my order was wrong again and they had to remake it. Talked with the manager Mike and he didn’t care about the issue. Save your time and just go to the Mountain Mikes on Elverta by Winco. I will never come back here again and I love mountain mikes pizza.

Spent almost 80$ on two pizzas just to come home and they weren’t even fully cooked. The pizza was doughy and raw! The fact that they charge an arm and leg for pizza and it’s not even good quality is crazy. Cook the pizzas thoroughly before someone gets sick.

Was told P/U in 35min for a 10". I arrived & was soon told another 15 min, & I was willing to accept that... Then I could hear them calling out to make my order. 15 min later, then I was told another 3 min... ( that usually means 5 min.) I said never mind, I want my money back. Guy with a beard, no net on it. Came out of the back said it was coming out of the oven. about three times. I said no, give me my money back. All they would do was tell me was it was tell me any time now. I could see then trying to take it out of the side of the oven. 5 min later, No, I'm sorry, or small discount. or even a free 20oz soda.

Yes just spent 80.00 dollars here and my daughter put a dollar into the claw machine which kept her dollar, when we addressed the staff about it they said play at your own risk ! Really ? My husband and I enjoy this establishment regulars. The pizza is amazing, the entire staff is so wonderful and makes you feel like you are important. The facilities are clean and cover the COVID protocols perfectly. I will continue visiting weekly.

The only reason this isn't a 1 stare review is because our delivery drive was amazing. Very personable and kind. Absolutely nothing against him. This review is because the service at this place has gone Absolutely down hill. Tonight I ordered a pizza at 6:27 and didn't get it until 8:17. This is a ridiculous amount of time. This isn't the only bad experience lately. On December 19th I was there for dine in and it took over an hour and 20 minutes to get our pizza then to. When it was given to us it was cold. Not sure how that's possible with dine it but it happened. We order 12 wings as well and they forgot them. When our pizza was given to us they were reminded and they had obviously forgot with the panic look on there face. Then all we see if scrounging through the delivery orders and our wings arrived. Not correctly though. We had ordered Buffalo wings and our wings came with no sauce at all. This place really just doesn't care anymore. Just wants to make there money and move on. This isn't cheap pizza but definitely recently makes me feel like a cheap customer.

Mountain Mike's is a pretty decent place. Their pizza is expensive, but I really like their thick cheese. Not only that, the pepperoni is really good. The Watt/Elkhorn location isn't a very clean location, and almost no one wears masks, so keep that in mind. If you're looking for cheap pizza, there are better places to go. If you want medium quality, then this is a good choice.

I ordered pizza around 3 pm for 6 pm. At 6:08 they called and said the driver was running late. 20 minutes later the delivery driver was in a car accident right in front of my house. Major damage, t-boned at about 60 mph. Her manager called and was more concerned with the other deliveries then he was about his drivers safety. The driver is not supposed to be delivering and was not signed off to do so. Because the manager failed to get my pizza to me on time he sent out an inexperienced child and put her in danger. I gave two stars because the driver still worked to give us our pizza even though it was all crushed.

Was going to visit this place for the first time since I was at jiffy lube waiting for my car not knowing what time it was the door was open and my partner and I walk in happy and excited to get pizza we hear an employee pretty loudly say so we are just open early now huh we just gonna be open early I guess we are open early now . I'm an manager at a retail store and this is a number one way to make someone feel unwelcome and ready to leave so sadly we did just that the employee tried to tell us we are fine to stay but honestly who would want to after hearing this it felt so uncomfortable to even be in there when he said that my partner even turned back and said so hat you wanna do I do feel bad for the cashier he told us from the beginning we are okay because the door was open but again the I guess we are open early was the first thing we heard

Ordered a large combination pizza, they messed up order. Tried to order chicken wings told they were out, ordered potato wedges. They brought pizza out and I asked about potatoes and he let me get them and returned telling me they don't have it. Could have told us earlier so we could've order something else. The staff that was there not very friendly.

It's called rip off..!
Ultra expensive, basically $50 for their biggest 🍕 pizza but it didn't happen to become my favorite taste wise, just no. So they want $$**** and they want you to tip, even though it made no sense to me. I have a place that rocks taste wise, and for $50 I can quite load there, so that other place I go to does deserve a fair tip. As for mountain Mike's, sorry no. I do not feel like ordering again, because taste wise it didn't get me to the clouds, that's the biggest reason!
I am glad though that there are still people made happy by this place, so that's the good part.
I must confess, I am a picky eater, my mom was just way too good of a cook, she never failed to amaze even the most demanding people, so I guess I am spoiled in a way...

Coming from someone that used to work here, I can say that this is the best pizza in Sacramento. The owners are passionate about how things are ran, and strict on how the pizzas are made. Ill miss the people there. If your pizza is messed up, it happens. Nobodys perfect, just call and tell them and they'll fix it. They get slammed with orders so be patient. It's Definitely worth the wait and money.
