The manager called cops on me and they didn’t wear any name tags because they refused to be identified they are racial profiling and called cops over coupon cods and they refused to sell me items over question this behavior is unacceptable cops showed up and they tried to arrest me for recording our conversation and they were hiding and covering up for over 2 hours until cops showed up I am ITC member and clearly this store had many times many problems including I was witness they had bad attitude with other customers the workers over here cover up for their manager they refused to give her name so clearly they were hiding her identity for a reason because I called harbor freight and they mentioned it’s store police to have name tags on all the time. Be advised this lady is the manager in this store in this photo and she is racially profiling people and she doesn’t like giving customer service to anyone looks like she has done this many times before calling cops on paying customers.

Cash register person Maria, being disrespectful, I'm a senior citizen well known, returning items with receipt and the credit card purchased with I waited 5 minutes in line and get up to the counter and with arrogance said I need your ID, and I look legit and I am legit and I said well I got my purchasing credit card here and the receipt, I'm just returning items unused, with an attitude said I need your ID, acting like Gestapo, go out to my car get the ID return the items upon returning the items asking personal questions, looks me up on the computer asked questions about my last name ID and I'm like serious? Had to explain to her that I have an alias, then started asking questions about me residing in Arizona, am I here just visiting or what? And I answered I reside in both places.so I went ahead and went back in the store to get an oil drain pan I come up I see one register with only one person in it and the other with two I go to stand in the one and she says hey you need to stand over here in line, I go excuse me? Very rude to me the whole time I was in the store then I get up and I explain to her that the store in Arizona does not do this to the people make them stand in one line, well that's the way it's always been here she said and I said no that's not the case, I haven't been in the store in a long time, so I asked her a question how long have you been working here and she just gave me a dirty look with no answer, so it's okay for her to question me but I asked one question and she gives me a nasty attitude, there's more I'd like to say but it would be too personal and two direct but she is what she is and arrogant person who thinks she's the boss of everybody not just her employees I can't stand people like this! Ticket receipt 01126364, time 7:18 p.m., date 7:30 24, also noticed she had her left leg up in a position of dominance well this transaction was taking place, and by the way this interrogation and this whole transaction which ate up a lot of time unnecessary was all over returning $27 worth of tools! Also I noticed two customers were in front of me at two different times inside the store at this interaction, she was trying to sell warranties to both of them and they were just looking at her like why are you bothering me with this? Both men were not happy that this was happening and both said no to the warranty offers and both felt they were put on the spot!

On Sunday 08/25/2024 we came into this location to UPGRADE a gas generator. Unfortunately, this location was the first store we have ever had a negative experience. The cashiers ( Jessica, William and Hispanic lady wearing glasses) were no help at all. Jessica at the cashier had a poor attitude and poor customer service. William then ask my son’s girlfriend to move the heavy gas generator we were bringing back for upgrade. I totally don’t understand how stores like this can keep people with poor customer service skills and wonder why they can’t compete with the bigger stores. This was my first visit at this store location and it will surely be my last. With all the money we have spent at this company Manager needs to retrain his staff as is reflected on him/her.

Well, I’m sorry to say after many years of being a loyal customer, Harbor freight tools north Hollywood has disappointed me again with their customer service disrespect for their customers, went there to purchase the $30 Blade I had purchased a 999 blade that did not fit by tool but I did not have a receipt, So the associate mentioned she needs to talk to the manager. The manager came out young lady very long nails, came out with an attitude and tell ., So the associate mentioned she needs to talk to the manager. The manager came out young lady. Very long nails came out with a attitude and tell me no she will not honor my return without a receipt associate told me to go to Sepulveda store they’ll probably do it over there, so I mentioned why would I have to go to another store as I said that the manager gave me a dirty look and told me that’s the way it is the other store will not return it as well anyway I gave her a few choice words. she got under my last nerve contacted corporate office. It’s been one week and no one has called me back, so harbor, freight, North Hollywood, lost my business. I will not give you one penny. I’d rather spend double the money thing to get disrespected by a titled person with me power trip.

I've been going to this place for almost a decade now when they were a small company w/ a few branches. They've improved tremendously in the quality of products they've been selling at comparable performance at a lesser price. Some OK led flashlights. The Icon stuff isn't too bad. But customer service in the store is horrible! And don't get me started on Christmas coupons. They run out of items on coupons before they open the doors I think, if they even have them at all. I've left the North Hollywood store twice in a week without getting coupon items as they don't have them, and the sales staff couldn't care less! I hadn't been in that store for years until a week ago, probably be longer before I'll be back, if ever. Bought some ICON led flashlights online. They even screwed that up, but at least their customer service on the phone was local, intelligible, and smart enough to get the answer without going elevated, or 2nd tier. Good grief.

We used to joke about HF having tools you need to use only once. HF is changing/has changed! They still carry some of the "discount" tools to get you by in a pinch, but they also have continued to build their line of professional tools and many are as good as anything else available. In fact, many tools are competitive with tool truck standards at lower prices, without waiting for the truck to come around.

If you haven't been in a HF for awhile you owe it to yourself to stop in and catch up with their progress.

Just went in to look around for the first time and buy an item. Then second I came in the security guard was on me. I expected some surveillance but not full on stalking. I found my item and wanted to look around. I couldn't. I turned and he was their. I watched other men enter and noticed he didn't even care about them. I quickly left. I saw him return to his phone and sit down. Not safe for outsiders!
