this is a good all you can eat sushi restaurant in San Fernando Valley. We ordered the $44 menu which is their premium sushi variety.
We were very happy with the freshness and crispness of the food, and they also have the fresh wasabi, the service was good also.
We would definitely come back to try other items on the menu.

Classy. Delicious. High Quality. - this place aces everything from ambience to flavor to service. But the most delightfully surprising thing about Fuguya Sushi is it's affordability (price-wise and size-of serving). 2 bento boxes can feed 3 hungry men. Price: $34. Not bad.

My girlfriend and I found out about this place from YouTube "rockstareater" and decided to try it out knowing it's a hit or miss since where it's located.
The experience was horrible:
The waiter mentioned to us it was going to be a wait to receive our food due to a "huge party" which we didn't mind.
We order appetizers and beer and put in a order which consisted of "sashimi"
Long story short, we consumed our 32 oz beer and shishito peppers and 1 hr later never received any "fish" food
We noticed the party the waiter mentioned was his "friends" and catered to them more then us.
We have no offense to that but just knowing his service to us to non existent which are us upset.
I had I added "extra food" in their order system to see what would happened and my wife and I still waited another 30 min at least until she got fed up and mention that we were leaving.
Long story short, we went due to a youtube rating, we acclaimed bad service.
Never again.

The Food is Outstanding, the Service here is truly amazing if you want super good sushi. This is the place to get it!! Don't pay attention to the bad reviews they are just bots with only 1 or 2 reviews in their history.. You can tell one of the bad reviews is from another restaurant by putting one based on their name. i usually put good reviews to those who deserve it. And this one does deserve it.

I would give it a 5 star if you order for take out but:
Food is good, we’ve been returning customers for a long time ordering for delivery. We finally had the opportunity to go experience eating inside. We came in as a family to have lunch meaning you’re expecting to be seated with your family, right?
They offer this “All you can eat” promo, my wife and I were interested in that but because our children were not going do the same, this busboy/waiter felt that its was ok to separate the family, having 2 young boys sitting on their own while the wife and I are relocated to sit in a middle table of the restaurant approx 10ft away from them (where from we originally were sat down). I'm thinking maybe figuring out the math on how to charge us was to difficult or, he assumed as if we were going to steal off the menu, idk maybe he was having a bad day, but over all, He spoke to us with an attitude , for a second I thought it could have escalated to a full argument, of some simple nonsense. No one needs to be spoken to in such a rude way, especially those spending money at your establishment.
A lady waitress took over, she apologized, she was nice and respectful.
We'll be returning, hopefully we have a better experience all the way next time.

Go elsewhere! We've gone twice for the AYCE. They only have two servers (an Asian woman with a really bad attitude and a Latin woman) as well as one chef. Aside from the extremely slow service, their tables are dirty and the food is not good. You could taste the MSG in the 2 piece 🍣. They serve tap water and don't bring out your food in hopes you forget what you ordered.

They also tip themselves by adding 18% gratituity to all parties. As of June 1, this is a violation of SB 478. Report violations to OAG. This is also a B graded restaurant.

If you want really good AYCE, I recommend Midori Sushi on Ventura.

I've eaten here a few times and usually it's been mediocre at best. Strange things happening to Sushi places in LA now where they give a "five piece" roll but it's huge, overstuffed with rice and imitation crab, and absolutely barely any protein/fish. At least they charge less than $10 for it, but even still that doesn't seem worth the price. At least make it a real sushi ROLL and not some rice draped over the inside with an open bottom that falls apart as soon as you pick it up??
I got the Monster Roll which was exactly this situation. A huge "roll" overstuffed with krab, and the smallest amount of unagi on top possible. The unagi felt like it wasn't cleaned very well, still had bits of bones.
I also got the Las Vegas roll, and the amount of rice and breading on the outside of it makes this roll impossible to eat in one bite and just so heavy it's not worth it. They also used the smallest amount of Salmon possible in it and the white fish inside tasted old and I had to pick it out to make it edible.
The other times I've been inside they always have a TV playing music videos super loud?? It's not a peaceful atmosphere when you're trying to have dinner with people or just by yourself.
Definitely the last time I'm giving this place a shot.

We had gotten bentos here to go and they were all right. But then we saw that they had an all you can eat sushi option from Rockstar Eater on YouTube. We gave it a shot and were NOT disappointed. The sushi tastes so fresh and delicious and is by far some of the best so she we've ever had. This place has a really nice vibe although it is a bit small. So if you go make sure you go early during the week or else you might have to wait. The menu is vast and the price is perfect. I feel like our server could have been a little friendlier but she may have just been having a bad day. It also looks like she may have been the only one after a lunch rush so I wouldn't hold it too much against this place.

Me and my boyfriend used to frequent this establishment every week for 2 years on our lunch breaks, it was one of our favorite lunch spots. We always ordered the teriyaki bowls, dumplings, katsu bowl, and miso soup. One day we walked in and we could tell their was new ownership based on the environment looking so different. It's a lot darker in there now with the blinds drawn and you have to order on a tablet (that heads up adds an automatic service charge). But the biggest change was the quality in food. Everything is smaller portions. The chicken is now a little over cooked and rubbery when it used to be juicy and tender. More watery rice when it used to be fluffy. The dumplings are tinier and not made well. And the katsu bowls, the salad dressings not tasty anymore and the chicken is poorly breaded. I sincerely am begging this establishment to hire their old chef back. You are losing customers one by one, including some coworkers of mine. It used to be so delicious.

Got the all you can eat. Was pretty good, would definitely come back. Not the absolute best sushi we've ever had but not terrible. They go a little heavy on the sauces IMO and the tempura is pretty mid but very good and inviting. Service is great and you should give them a try :)

Fuguya Sushi seemed promising with all-you-can-eat, but it disappointed. Ambience was decent, but options were limited. Sushi rice overwhelmed, quality subpar, tasted like supermarket sushi. Rolls fell apart, shishito peppers too spicy, had to drink lots of water. Best dish was Japanese ramen, but even that was disappointing with overcooked meat.

Honestly for $30 all you can eat the food isn’t bad and I actually got there flyer in my mail, so I was pretty excited by the option and the restaurant being close. My biggest problem was I came to eat and spent $200 and we got a little full and had about one roll and some shishito peppers left, and we already had problems and with the waiter in his customer service and when asked if we could take the roll to go, he express the Togo charge was $9 then when the bill came it had 3 additional $9 charges for rolls and when I asked him about hit he rudely said “you wanna take stuff you pay for it” and then before I could event talk to him about it he picked up my plates and walked away and turned his back on me mid conversation

I wanted to order some gyoza and I can’t eat pork. I tried asking what kind of meat is in the gyoza and they said they don’t know. I said can you find out if it’s pork please because I can’t eat pork and they said no we cannot order something else. That’s crazy to me, it’s mystery meat!

I have been to FUGUYA 30 times now and every time I love it more. The food is fresh and beautifully cooked and presented and the staff are amazing. We had a great meal. I went to Fuguya sushi for my birthday yesterday & I left beyond happy! Ji woo was our server & she was AMAZING! Her warm smile, fast service & knowledge of the menu made my experience a 10/10. Best LA sushi I’ve had. Incredible service. Generous and delicious rolls. Do yourself a favor and update your favorite spot to Fuguya. Like so many LA gems - the real real is sometimes in the most unassuming of strip malls.

That’s how you know it’s even better than you could have imagined. Try the sushi tacos and standard rolls. Eel and avocado w bonito- inspired! You will be amazed.

This place just got under new management and it is amazing. I just ate there and the price is very fair for the amount that you get. The service was amazing too. They checked on us to make sure the food was good and the servers were very friendly. Recommend it to everyone

I had a meeting in North Hollywood and needed to grab a quick bite for early dinner. I went in with a zero expectation and was amazed/impressed with the whole experience. First the food was off the chart, it was absolutely delicious and the vibe plus the staff they were amazing. The server told us that they changed chefs and remodeled for a new start. I definitely recommend this place and gonna come back soon for a drink/food

Super bummed. First time order. Nothing I ordered appeared / tasted fresh. The rice was old enough to have a glue/gooey texture. I was so hungry that I bit into the sunomono without looking at it and came away with a mouth full of mold. I actually had to spit it out immediately. It had clearly been prepped days ago and sent out without being checked. Out of 5 items, only one was edible. I can't believe this is the normal representation of their food, but there's just too many other options too consider going back. I really wanted to support this neighborhood spot, but I just can't.

Unfortunately, not great. The eel cut roll was extremely skimpy--teeny little pieces of eel in the center, with a sloppy, huge glob of it in the last piece--and the color of the spicy tuna was suspicious. The smell was that strongly sour fish odor as well, not like fresh fish. I got so worried that it was going to make me sick that I didn't finish. Swing & a miss.

I order from this place via Uber Eats frequently. It was only right that I finally do a review.
Salmon Sashimi- Average $14 for 6 thick slices and each piece is so delicious. Worth the value when you're talking about fresh seafood
Rolls: Rainbow, Dragon, Baked Salmon, Salmon Skin- DELICIOUS. No complaints. All bomb.
Tempura- Crispy and delicious and never soggy when I get it

I've been a longtime take-out customer at Fuguya and I swear by this restaurant. Everyone needs to try the red dragon roll but I wish the speciality rolls would be a little bit cheaper ):

35 dollars for sushi with hard rice. Lobster was fishy and greasy. The salmon roll was almost 15 dollars for 8 regular sized pieces. If i wanted this quality or better, i could just go to Ralph’s. Step it up!

Nice strip mall sushi option in North Hollywood. Service was good, sushi was fresh and well prepared. I was starving and really enjoyed it, my son's friends are more sushi connoisseurs and said it was good, not great. I would go again.
