It's great! I love our Stater Brothers Market. I've only ever had good interactions with staff in all departments. They are famous for their meat department. If you don't see the cut you want or you have a special request just ask them and they will prepare it for you free of charge. I've always had excellent service at the meat counter.

I love going shopping there. I have couple guys that really help and take carry me when I'm ready to leave and load my car app very good customer service. And I like the meat and the way the staff is. Do you know how to treat people and serve what people ask for keep up the good work? And keep up trying to keep the fruit very fresh and sweet. Good produce section, very clean and wide aisles. Staff are great, friendly and skilled. Management run the place well, I see them checking in often to make sure the staff have what they need, and even rolling up their sleeves to bag during a rush. But the main event here is the excellent meat counter. Even if this location wasn’t my primary market, I’d still come here for meat. Recommended.

I love Stater Brothers! I drive to Pasadena from OC on Sundays to visit my son so I frequent this store. Today I was a bit disappointed with the customer service at the hot food section. The woman who helped us was somewhat rude. I was miffed with the way she rolled her eyes when I asked her if she would prepare a burrito also. Was I bothering her? Sean the store manager and Trevor the assistant manager helped me with a large order from the meat department, and he also let me know of other convenient ways to make future orders to save my self some time. I’ve been coming here for a few years now, the staff members are always helpful and kind and the store is always so clean and organized! The meat department is always fresh and they always have really nice deals for everything. Thank you!

I love Stater Brothers! I drive to Pasadena from OC on Sundays to visit my son so I frequent this store. Today I was a bit disappointed with the customer service at the hot food section. The woman who helped us was somewhat rude. I was miffed with the way she rolled her eyes when I asked her if she would prepare a burrito also. Was I bothering her? Mind you, there were three employees in that little corner milling about. I was hoping someone else would help me. The deli section offers very little condiments. No one smiles anymore! I was just glad the manager/supervisor opened another cash register for us. Thank you.

Samuel, the checker at the store, he has been working at this location for a while, he , when I gave him 20 dollar bill, he raised it up high to see if it was counterfeit, which is ok, there workers, are supposed to do that, however, he didn't check the next few people in line, I stood off to the side and I watched to see if he would examine the other customers money, he didn't check there money at all.I wonder why he singled only me out, I had on my LA Dodgers Baseball cap, I'm , a Black man, not that color matters, I'm just saying, the other people in lone after me who he didn't check, didn't look like me, oh, I forgot to add, I also had on a long sleeve white T - Shirt. I think I'm, when I go back to the store, I'm wearing my new York Yankees Hat, maybe Samuel will like the Yankees Hat.

Tried to put in an order for an elderly person nearby online, their system would not allow me to pay online, after wasting about 2 hours of my time, customer service said I would have to wait 24 hours for my account to be approved to fulfill the order. I stopped at Stater Bros this morning to pick up some water this morning, but I didn't see my brand stocked. Usually, when you ask an employee, they'll tell you that whatever is on the shelf is what they have. However, I ran into Victor on the other aisle and he was the one that volunteered to check the inventory and 3 minutes later, he brought out more water for me.

Then later, I was looking for mini bagels and didn't see any. Victor was walking by and I inquired with him. He remembered that the vendor was on site delivering merchandise and went outside to meet them. Not more than 5 minutes later, he had my bagels.

I'm telling you, you can't get better customer service at any supermarket, more than at Stater Bros!!! Thank you so much Victor, you made my shopping day!!

It was past 11:00 am and they barely had any of the deli food ready. They told me if I wait 10 minutes they would have some chicken ready, I waited and they still didn't have anything. Waisted a big portion of my lunch break there for nothing. And to top it off they're checkers didn't have it together either. I waited in line just to switch lines . Horrible horrible service

Their fried chicken was PERFECT! I was in the area doing security, prepping for a tv show that's gonna be shooting nearby & got hungry. When I get REALLY hungry, my go-to is Fried chicken. Being that I'd never been to Stater Bros., I was REALLY skeptical. But, once I got in my car & took that 1st bite, it was all she wrote! I got 3 thighs & a drumstick, and didn't stop until there was nothing but bones! I didn't even stop to drink anything, it was THAT good! I live in Reseda, but I'll definitely be back because I've joined a hiking group that comes to this area! Well done, Stater Bros.!

My new favorite market! Prices and quality are good. Customer service outstanding. Great selection. You find interesting and unusual items you didn't expect.
In a side note-the beautiful and tasty shrimp cocktail I bought impulsively was excellent, until about midnight where it had me up all night and into the next day with cramps and trips to the bathroom. Needless to say I'll be avoiding them in the future.

Today I purchased a rotisserie chicken dinner. The cook/cashier actually went the extra mile . He showed me the best chicken prepared the side and bagged it all up. I was pleasantly surprised.

Stater Bros. has some unique grocery items you can only get there... Like, It's-It ice cream, and escarole (a leafy, slightly bitter green) and plenty of others! The employees are always friendly and nice, there's a pretty good amount of organic product available. Prices are fair, and it seems like plenty of weekly discounts are always available. If you're looking for a place to shop for groceries in Pasadena, definitely try Stater Bros.!

I got bad cashier service issue before but the management fixed it. They are more helpful than many other groceries store . Service are neat and great. Great meat/ fish service area. Nice sushi selection. Cakes area is clean. “Good team” service in chefs chicken area. I like the store and the team are descents enough and employee are attentive.

Nancy at the hot bar/deli was rude. She responded with a lot of snarky remarks, & when I asked for my bread to be toasted at the very beginning of my SANDWHICH order, she responded & said; "you can go to Subway, they do that". I work a corporate job 3 blocks away & send about 100$+ worth of food to be ordered for meetings to be ordered threw here daily at her department from Mon- Fri, which is about 95% of her daily earned income... Thanks for mentioning your competitors NANCY & I'll be going to Subway from now on. If I come across here & see her there, I'm not ordering anything. Thank you Nancy. I used to shop here when it was vons. Stater Brothers are known to be courteous, but I've noticed that they just ignore me at best. One day the check out girl took something from my cart after I paid and told me it belonged to the guy next in line. I didn't want the drama, so i let it go. However, all my visits after that were equally horrible. I get hateful sneers from the employees there, and now i decided that all my needs will have to be met by the HMart. This place gives me the creeps. Its sad that my local grocery store treats the licals this way. Afterall, They're the new kids on the block!. Not me.

Killer Mexican food at a Stater Brothers ?
Heck yeah !
I just had Eddie at the service counter make me a carnitas burrito and it was the bomb.
He gave it the perfect balance of rice beans and meat and you get a lot of meat.
I went traditional and skipped the cheese and had it with onions cilantro and salsa verde.
The carnitas we're perfectly cooked and the rice and beans we're fresh and flavorful.
I was also surprised by how delicious the salsa verde was especially for a Stater Brothers.
And it was a huge burrito for only $8 that could have easily fed two people with a side or two added, I've paid an average of $12 to $20 for a similar burrito around town but no longer because I'll be going back to get more burritos and also try the tacos platter along with everything else that they offer.

I've also had a roast beef sandwich at this location that no one else in town could touch especially at the Stater Brothers price.

My only tip ? See Eddie if you can because really compared to what's out there and especially by how the food was put together and presented this guy should have his own restaurant.

Thank you Stater Brothers for employing Eddie and all of your other staff as everyone working at this location seems to really enjoy their job and it shows from the cleanliness of your store to the hospitality and down to the smile on their faces.

This store and it's service deli have earned my business any time I'm in Pasadena and need groceries or especially a quick bite to eat.

I have to rank this particular grocery store in the top ten of Los Angeles county. I first visited by chance during opening week and to my surprise I felt like I was being welcomed into a heavenly setting with genuinely friendly people. It still feels that way today. I absolutely love the in-house options, and the fact that you carry Full Circle products ropes me back even though I moved farther away.

Now Stater bros is how to run a grocery store. Cashiers always opened. Real butchers(not meat stockers,cutters). Vons on Colorado and Sierra Madre get a clue off the clue tree. I am tired of being my own cashier because you have only 2 cashiers open for 50 customers.

Ich war für einen Urlaub in Pasadena und habe regelmäßig bei Stater Bros. Markets eingekauft. Der Markt ist für mich (aus Deutschland) recht groß und hat ein gutes Sortiment. Obst und Gemüse sind frisch und auch frisches Fleisch bekommt man dort. Ich hatte das Gefühl, dass die Regale immer voll waren. Das Personal machte einen netten Eindruck. Ich bin immer zu Fuß zum Einkaufen gegangen, aber es gab auch genügend kostenlose Parkplätze.

It has gone from bad to worse!!!! Last night I went in there and I had forgot one item so I asked the checker if the person behind me can go b4 me, she very rudely and coldy said no, then told me to get what I had forgotten and she'd figure out the rest, I apologized many times, no response just muttering under her breath! She practically threw my groceries at me slamming them into the cart since no courtesy clerk was around and I left, wow and the mgr watched the whole thing! They r always under staffed and at closing time there is always a big wave of people and never enuf employees. Mgmt is a joke, the employees all have attitude, they seem to have come from the hood, lol but yah if it wernt the only close market, I would not shop there! I dread having to goshopping. So avoid it if u can cuz it sucks! And they r always out of everything!!!

Unbelievable deals, nice environment, but one of the cashiers was a middle aged woman with a very spiteful attitude. I don't believe we asked her for her negative attitude after purchasing a few items and asking about the specials. She didn't want to hear it were her exact words after she complained about pain from years ago and rambled into a story. If customer service is expected, she is rather hostile and unprofessional at her job.

Bad experience: complaint: My girlfriend and I simply went in to purchase the Stater Bro advertised family meal for 11.99, which includes 8 pieces of chicken, macaroni and 2 dinner rolls. I simply asked the server if we could switch out the dinner rolls for macaroni and cheese. The server went to ask Eddie who was apparently the lead in the department. As I witnessed the conversation and Eddie's body language saying no, I went over to Eddie and asked him why not? Eddie then said it is not his decision and told me to go over to the front of the store and speak to the manager. I later discovered this action was very rude on Eddie's part because Eddie could have simply called the manager, Catrina, on the in house phone located within the food area. I proceeded to walk over to the middle of the store as instructed by Eddie and to the dark tented window of the manager's office and rang the bell, the two cashier's closest to the office asked me why did I want to speak to the manager, one asked me rudely and the other cashier was nice and kind. The rude cashier, black hair, young white or armenian male, stated the manager was not coming to the door and after 5 minutes had gone by instructed me rudely to go speak to the lady at check stand #1, however the nice cashier stated the manager Catrina is coming out and that she would explain about the bell. So we waited patiently and she appeared and I started to explain the confusion happening right in front of her office and she explained that I was not suppose to ring the intercom next to the office, however I explained, I was told by Eddie to come to your office and that there is no sign posted saying that a customer cannot ring the bell and I suggested that she should post a sign so that customers know and there is no confusion. This was nonetheless a very bad experience all for a simple question of can we switch out the macaroni and cheese for dinner rolls. After Catrina heard our very simple question, she went over to the food bar and spoke to Eddie and permitted him to make the switch and for that we were thankful. However after this 30 minute excursion we realize that all of the good chicken was now gone and the case which held the chicken was only left with scraps from the day of which we did not want. I explained to Eddie that he was the one responsible and he got upset and said he had nothing to do with it which was furtherest from the truth because it was him who made a management decision and told his server no as opposed to asking the manager if an exception could be made led to a 30 minute delay, however now that he was upset he went to the phone within the area and call Catrina over again and that is when I realized that he could have called her from the very beginning instead of sending me on a wild goose chase. When Catrina, arrived on the seen again he proceeded to continuously speak over me even though the manager was instructing him to stop speaking because she would address any issues, but in Eddie defending himself he was also dishonest and this I explained to Catrina. I further asked her, if Eddie can call you by phone when he needed something, why couldn't he do the same phone to assist the customer? This is why I was explaining to him that he is responsible because within in all the time it took for me to walk over and finally speak to Catrina he could have simply called which he did not. This was a very disturbing and unhappy experience and although Catrina stated she would speak to Eddie and the rude cashier, personally I am not sure that she will actually speak to them or if she was just saying this simply to shut me up. In the end Catrina resolved the Macaroni issue, however by then I had lost all appetite to even eat it.

Stater brothers is good quality for their prices, especially in meat and produce. I wish there was more variety in the produce section acknowledging the various cultural kitchen requirements of socal kitchens. The meat department is good, and the butchers are very accommodating in cutting odd size roasts, splitting briskets and packaging 1/4 lbs of spicy Italian sausage.

Stater Brothers is beginning to slip badly. A year ago, ever since opening, it had been a terrific store, now most of the stuff that I end up going to the market for, they no longer carry, the prices are slightly higher then other options, the lines are longer, and the stocking is more haphazard. I can find almost nothing that I need there anymore. It would be tough for it to be as awful as the Vons it replaced, but it's trying.
