Great place. It’s actually very peaceful. They have coffee available. A very countless amount of books. You name them and you will find it. The only thing that I didn’t like is people trying to teach my children their ideology. I understand that you feel a certain way and I respect that but don’t try to push in my children otherwise.

I love Barnes & Noble. There are plenty of small gifts for stocking stuffers, games, calendars, day planners, pens... I was surprised how many gifts I found for family members. I went in for 2 books & walked out with Christmas gifts for 5 others.

Yes! Book lovers unite! THIS place is for all ages. During my visit, it was a busy Saturday. So many browsing, clerks assisting customers, and others making their purchases.
I got so elated reading the children's books! I noticed a lot of the classics, like Dr. Suess books, along with new selections with so many creative stories and unique illustrations. This is definitely a place to spend a few hours whether by yourself, with friends, or with family members. There is something for all ages. No disappointments!
There is a cafe in the store, with a relaxing, ample seating area, tables and chairs, featuring Starbucks. So, you can eat, read, and relax.
The store is spacious. The book shelves are divided into various categories, including science fiction, history, fiction, and nonfiction. I can't forget to mention the cooking, health and wellness along with a variety of the latest magazines. Also, there are book specials $5 and $10 deals.
And, there are gift items available including mugs, greeting cards, and gift bags. There is also a store rewards program available for customers.
This is a comfortable atmosphere and it's a nice option to be able to physically touch a book, glance through the pages to better connect with the reading material. It was great to reminiscing about my mother checking out books from the library for me and my sisters I found new places to travel and many friends to meet during story time. Reading, writing, and getting a good education was a priority as I was growing up. My mother and father instilled the importance of being reading at an early age. I was exposed to the local library with treasures of books, theatrical events, and arts and crafts. The children's book Peter's Chair, by Ezra Jack Keats is one of my favorites!
And I found another gem during my time in the store, Shakespeare cliff notes (book) with the English language version on the opposite side of the page. I needed that book while I was in college 😀!
I had to take pics of the books that I read in the store. I highly recommend this bookstore!

Awful Starbucks. Went in the am to grab coffee, their machine doesn’t work, they have no decaf, their food is cold and even when I asked to warm it up it was still cold on the inside and it tasted old and dry. Pull it together!

Great place! They have so many books you could have enough for a hundred years!! Not only that they have stuffed animal puppets for children, toys and so much more. They also have all types of notebooks and pens and pencils. There is a cafe area for coffee, pastry and I believe light sandwiches. You get a discount if you become a member. Rest rooms are also available.

I love this bookstore. I really enjoy going in and having my hands on books of interest to look, decide, and feel what I really want. I often find more books than I can afford it the one time so I take photos of book covers for future purchases! There is usually a staff person at the customer service counter in the middle of the store who can answer my questions and personally guide me to the area I want to look.

So expensive. I would 100% rather by my books here than online (amazon), however, the prices are absolutely ridiculous. No clearance tables, the cheapest old paperback book I found was $17.

I probably kept this store in business as a teenager and now cannot afford to shop here. It is a matter of time before the store closes with these prices.

I loved this bookstore, but i’m just going to do all my book shopping online now. Politely asked why I didn’t get the deal advertised as in store and online. I was rudely cut off and told it’s actually online only, and practically pushed out the door. I work in customer service too, so i’m not even upset about the deal just upset with how it was handled.

It's a Barnes and Noble. They all seem about the same to me. If we get their gift cards we will come and spend them. It is convenient to just pick up instead of ordering but it's not like going to your neighborhood bookstore which used to exist.

BEWARE.
2/19/2020 received my credit card statement and there was a
$25 B&N membership renewal charge. I would never and did not sign up for automatic renewal. Spoke to North Haven Connecticut manager who said it is corporate policy to automatically renew. Spoke to Customer Service at 800 number and I was offered to not have renewal for next year. I replied that I wanted the $25 taken from my charges in my credit card THIS YEAR. I am supposed to receive confirmation by email. This just transpired. BEWARE.
If you call the 800 number and if you have a customer service problem that is not Billing, it is almost impossible to get the automated system to get you to a real person promptly. Just keep saying, Help, or Representative and eventually the system will put you through to a real human. The two reps I spoke to had very heavy Indian accents requiring me to ask them to repeat some things they said.

Store is great but don't sign up for the frequent flyer program. Getting in is easy and it automatically renews charging your credit card. Getting out nobody wants to talk talk to you. I asked American Express to dispute the charge a month ago. Still waiting

This location is very small so keep that in mind. Does ha e a Starbucks which is cool. I just wish it was a little easier to find the different types of books. I couldn't find a non fiction.

Staff is excellent, with a great coffee bar and bakery. I bought a book recently, and was offered a "buy one, second 50%" cookie offer. I'll tell you, the chocolate chip with a strong cup of coffee.... can't beat it.

I'll keep it simple. Im not a reader. But when I come here but more than any other store I go to. Something about a nice, new book. I recommend going here to anyone! Take it from me. I love it and I'm not even a reader. 5 stars. I have been going to this store for 3 years now, it has always been a very nice experience for me. The store is very clean even pre-covid and they always have new books every other week or so. I also like that they have a starbucks inside plus an area where you can sit to drink coffee and read your books. The staff is also very nice and helpful.

I shopped at the North Haven Barnes and Noble for my nephew’s birthday gifts. There was a young lady at the computer near the children’s section. Unfortunately, I didn’t get her name but she was fantastic. I had lots of questions and she was so helpful. She had so much knowledge of the store and great recommendations. We had a nice chat about the books she helped me find and also the ones she helped me pick that I knew nothing about. She provided a 5 star experience and I hope all who visit there are able to get a moment of her time. It’s so appreciated. Keep up the good work young lady.

A good place for those who seek refuge at a bookstore from the regularity of the daily life, during the weekend. I would have changed the wooden chairs with furniture, even a comfortable sofa. Having ☕ on a sofa, while reading, makes my type, better spenders.

Huge young adult and manga selection. Very clean and well staffed. The staff that I interacted with were world class. Positive genuine helpful... you could tell they enjoy their job. We bought the $25membership and my 14yro is looking forward to beefing up her private library🤣

Large selection, well maintained, and fine deals on the right days. I have good memories coming here a lot as a school kid for summer reading and school books and getting lost in the shelves. Slightly taller and older now, I still get lost. I like independent book stores, and Barnes and nobles feels a bit like a giant, but it’s still better than Amazon.

I wanted to share my excellent experience in your shop (12/13/21). A few years back I saw beautiful bound hard cover version of Lord of the Rings. All three novels together, a high end bookmark attached and fully illustrated by Tolkien. I never saw it again.

I spent 15 years in retail and retail management. I know how hard it can be. I try to talk with staff whenever I can. You have a very sweet young lady with dark and I believe glasses. We spoke for a while and I told her about the book. I wish I asked for her name/ or remembered it.. She found it, last one she said. Highlight of my shopping experience so far this year.

Unfortunately, like most people i do shop online as well, but now I'll think twice. Thank her and thank you. It really is a great feeling when you can walk out of a store feeling better than when you walked it... you can buy that on the internet.
