If I could give this store zero stars, I would. So many items out of stock- you will never get what you need without having to make another trip. Not sure if it’s store personnel just not ordering stock/not keeping good inventory, or if corporate won’t allow them the staff to stock their shelves… but this store is terrible. Don’t bother coming here; it’s a total waste of time. Such a shame too bc the area is great.

Not sure what is going on here, but it is a MESS. Pallets of merchandise to be stocked sitting all along and in the middle the aisles, carts full of product all over the store, frozen and refrigerated items in those carts and in random aisles. There are never any carts for shopping and it’s because 75% of them are just piled up around the store with merchandise. The checkout lines are also always insanely long.

This was by far the worst Target experience I’ve ever had, the management team should be extremely embarrassed of the stores appearance. I think it’s time for this store to close for a couple days to get their act together before opening to the public again.

Worst Target ever! These photos were taken 2/1/24 before noon. These are just a few photos. You couldn’t actually get a cart down 50% of the aisles because they were all like this. The condition of the store was disgusting. It’s been this way for years. If I were Studio McGee and Johanna Gaines I’d be really upset that this is how they are representing my name.

This is the worst Target I have ever been to. The store is absolutely filthy! Not only is inventory all over the floor but literal garbage as well. There are carts up and down the aisles filled with inventory but no carts available to shoppers.I spoke with the manager who was extremely rude and walked away as I was talking to him. I'm not a big fan of Target to begin with but wow, this one keeps getting worse. Almost every aisle looked like a tornado went through. Now it may not all be the stores fault, but what a shame. A lot of people are pigs to go to a store and leave this behind. Also, the parking lot was full of trash.

Management, put people on the checkout lanes please. It's crazy to see a line all the way to cosmetics and there's maybe 2 people on registers when there's other employees out and about. This has been going on for a long time and there needs to be some changes.

This place is the worst. Every time I come to do a drive up order it’s 10+ minutes, I’ve waited 30 minutes before, why do I need to wait that long for a service you offer? Don’t offer it if your staff are not willing to do their assigned jobs. It shouldn’t take over 10 minutes to get your items brought to your car when you’re the only car in a 24 spot Drive Up Lot. Especially when you’re in a hurry that’s the point of using drive up. I’m not lazy I don’t use drive thrus, I’m in a rush. Stick to Meriden and Southington. Heck go to Newington and New Britain.

Lady name princess sits in that chair and do nothing, she suppose to be training a new cashier she just sitting there not doing nothing just taking space. Overall the store management is just not professional at all, need a whole new team of workers that actually want to work. This is one of the worst targets I’ve ever been to. I used to go a few times a week to shop or browse and now only go when absolutely necessary. The ABSOLUTE worst Target in a 40 mile radius. Dirty, shelves half empty, staff working at half capacity - and that's being generous. Lines ALWAYS ridiculously long, yet they seldom have all of the self-checkput registers open/operational. Just close this one down and make it a warehouse. The only reason people come here is the location, but you'll end up leaving in exasperation anyway, so save yourself the frustration. Go elsewhere! Save your sanity...

What a mess! The worst Target in CT.
It is dirty, there’s garbage around the store, boxes everywhere, crates, and merchandise on the floors. The products are probably damaged since they have been scattered, kicked and moved all around the store. Every time I’m inside this Target I want to leave as soon as possible because it’s just too unorganized and filthy (honestly! even the entrance and the parking lot). They don’t have enough employees and there’s too many customers visiting this location on a regular basis so the checkout lines are long. So frustrating seeing this place getting worst and worst every day. I hope they do something about it and clean and organize this store once and for all.

I don’t normally do reviews especially for a store, but this target is seriously understaffed and messy. North Haven is a decent town, so I expected this Target to be nice, but it’s always messy, long lines and things are never in stock. Staff are nice and I do see them always trying to stock, but there is just too much for too little staff. Either something is wrong with management or the pay isn’t enough to keep enough staff. I had to use a laundry basket because all the carts were being used to hold stock items. I rather drive 30 minutes elsewhere to a better Target or just not go at all. Also, be a better human being and put things back where they belong instead of being lazy. It’s ridiculous the amount of items misplaced because of customers.

This is store is low budget. I waited over two in a half hours.In the parking lot. Waiting for my SECOND ORDER... I placed the same day to be ready. Just to get an email. Stating the items was out of stock. Guess what, my husband went into the store a few minutes, after receiving the email. And found the two pair of jeans. Never again will I shop at this location. Ordered sheets for an online pick up and then went to pick it up and they said they didn’t have it. I went to the aisle and they had three of them. The lines were ridiculously long. The cashier at customer service was swearing and said she hated working there. This place is going downhill.

This is the local target in my town. I am very dissatisfied with the customer service and the appearance of store. Every time I enter this store it is a complete mess! I have ordered numerous items for drive up or pickup and the item is “out of stock”. However, if I go in the store any way the item that was “out of stock” magically appeared. Makes me wonder if the workers are actually looking. Please fix these problems to make shopping here more pleasant.

I seldom write reviews but this Target warrants one. I was in shock at how disorganized and messy the store is. It was chaos, with boxes all along the aisles, huge stacks in the way, and just overall mess. Items in the shelves were everywhere and thrown around the floor. Borderline unsafe. While waiting at check out, I was curious if others felt the same - surely enough I was validated by similar reviews about the disorganization. I wanted to leave asap just because of how the messiness affected my shopping experience and ease of navigating around the store. Such a disappointment considering I love Target and go their stores for several things. Would rather drive to a further away Target or find another store then go here, sadly. I really dislike leaving negative reviews, but I’m sorry, this store simply called for it.

I placed an order for delivery but half the merchandise was out of stock. This is the second time this has happened. I don't know who is doing the ordering or inventory control but they are not good at their job. Also, the last time I was in the store it was a mess. Aisles had trash (boxes) blocking the aisle. I am going to take pictures to post next time I am there. This place has gone completely down hill. You can tell they have cut a bunch of staffing all over the store. The place is a mess! There are products pulled out all over the floor in just about every aisle. No staff to be seen in several departments. I thought it was just a fluke, but it has been this way now the last two times I have gone. It used to be fun to take a trip to Target, but these last couple times I felt undervalued as a customer because the Target company thinks it can get my money without employing staff to keep the place organized and neat and help customers find things.

As of late October '23, still struggling with lack of employees. Some aisles were blocked by carts of merch. not completely put on shelves or just left in place without caring if a customer with a cart wanted to get by, as if someone blew a lunch whistle and they just dropped what they were doing.
The employee I did interact with was friendly but frazzled.
For the future, unless I'm buying something touchy or feely, I'm shopping online..

Usually Target is our favorite store but our last visit was just a series of errors! It was filthy, disorganized, and had product I was interested in purchasing all strapped together and just staked up in a heap of merchandise. I literally had to go find an associate to come with a blade and un-strap so that I could look at it. The entire store had loads of empty shelves, stop that needed to be put away and disheveled merchandise through out, from sheets, and clothing to the "outdoor" center. I still ended up spending almost $300 but in reflecting I would rather not tour through a third world country again. There really is no excuse. Can't be because there weren't enough associates since I found several clusters of them in the front of the store all discussing what party they were going to go to or who was sleeping with who. I am no prude but there is a time and place for everything. Even when I checked out the associate was so engaged in a conversation with another associates that she messed up my order twice and completely ignored me and the fact that I was trying to hand her additional items for my order. She ended up totaling me out because she clearly didn't see I was even there. I said something about the fact that she never even acknowledged that I was there and she did apologize which is fine but that just shouldn't happen. Lucky, we as customers, have choices. Very frustrating and it make me sad because Target used to be our first choice as a place to go on a shopping expedition.

Amazing staff that is always willing to help! Drive up service is amazing and always efficient with friendly staff. Can’t thank you enough for saving me so much time with your drive up services! On the rare occasion something is wrong with the order, they are very quick to fix and process a refund. Highly recommend!!

Your loss prevention staff needs better training. This morning, it was SO OBVIOUS I was being followed by a balding man in a red shirt. I almost abandon my arm full of products because he made me so uncomfortable.

My only two complaints are prices of proteins, and they need more cashiers on during busy times. Besides that, Target is wonderful.

They need me to run home and fetch the empty box to the espresso machine i bought from them in order to help me.
The machine went on sale for 60 dollars less the next day.
I stopped back to get refunded the next day.
The lady told me I couldn't do that without the barcode... on the box.
She happened to be standing in front of a computer that no doubt had the barcode in it somewhere. I was also in a store with several of them on the shelf.
But I couldn't get service because I didn't bring the empty cardboard box.
I'm not sure if that's dumb, dumber or dumberest but it's terriblly stoopid.

I've called to ask to speak to the manager. They park those calls into a vm box that hangs up on you..

Nice store but the wait time at the registers are ridiculous. Went there at 5pm and they had 1 register open. The lines were all the way down to the food department. The fitting rooms were locked and there were no associates there to help open the doors. Went to return something at the return desk and then was no one there to help.
I don't blame the staff.. I blame corporations who don't pay well so people actually want to work.
I give my experience 1 star.

I was just in your store today when I went to check out the lines were down to the grocery section. This is completely unacceptable. Who is managing this store and where were they?! There were 5 cashier's open plus the self checkouts. I was in there for an hour and a half before I left my full carriage behind along with the other carriages full of restock that are sitting in the aisles. Your store needs more management and supervision by people who are more competent.

This place was so understaffed all the shelves were bare. The bathroom was so dirty. I have been here 6 months ago and it never looked like that. It was 2pm only 2 registers were open. The line for the registers was over an hour wait. I am not sure what has happened to this place it used to be a nice place to shop.

Bought 4 giftcards in the amount of $160 from this store for Christmas presents to a niece and nephews in MN. They did not work! Target North Haven did nothing but tell me to call an 800 number. After having it validated that they were paid for and are not working, I have had to deal with getting pictures of the cards to email them as well as the receipt. I am still out $160 with no tomeframe of if or how this will be fixed and am humiliated that my niece went to use it and it declined.

Tried to return an item and was told that if you pay in split payment that the register pick how it is returned. They have no control. No customer service satisfaction. Just like another number

The long lines and employees directing them, rather than ringing, has Target feeling a lot like Walmart. It's disappointing.

Ordered online to save money instead of buying in-store. They told me it would take two hours it took over four. I went to the store to see if it was ready. It was not. I waited over an hour in the store, Which was over three hours since I ordered it online. I asked if they can grab the item I bought. They said they cannot and they were not able to communicate with the department that picks up the products and brings them to the service desk to pick up. That is absolutely ridiculous that they can’t communicate between departments in the same store. I must say the employees were very nice but weren’t helpful And it’s not their fault. It’s targets fault. Target do a better job.

If this Target wasn’t closest to me, I’d probably never go here. It’s in a great location, and it’s Target (usually a good selection of items in store), but it cannot seem to keep up with its own demand. Almost every time I do go here, I have to turn around after getting to the entrance because there are no carts (or resign myself to juggling items in my arms) and grab a cart from the lot. Today, I saw an employee grabbing carts, but bypassed ones in the cart return, and there were plenty scattered anywhere but the cart pickup at the entrance. Inside, the store is usually a mixed bag on if it’s clean or not, and often there are items all over—messy in the floor, in carts in the aisles. The lines are lines, most places these days don’t keep enough registers open and this Target is no exception. I don’t know if it’s that this location isn’t properly staffed or what, but I don’t recommend going here unless you’re in a bind or only getting a few items. It’s worth it to go to a Target in another town or a different store.

DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!!! If I could leave negative stars, I would. This store is FILTHY!! The shelves are completely empty and the staff could not care less about customer service. They had 2 lanes open and the lines were crazy long. The cashier in my lane had this look on her face as if she was doing the customers a favor by being there. She spoke not one word to any customer! When it was finally my turn, I used a credit card that prompted for a pin (this is a corporate card that I don’t have a pin for), when I asked her how do I bypass the pin, she looked at me (as of how dare I speak to her) and then shrugged her shoulders and turned her head to look away. I will NEVER return to this store. I will also be contacting corporate as this is clearly not a one off experience based on other reviews.

This Target usually has everything Im looking for and more. More often than not, it is messy. BUT it is a very busy Target. Overall, its a nice location.

Had a hard time finding what I needed and getting checked out - I’m disabled and pretty much all the time is a hard time - but Ashley really went above and beyond, 11/3 at 300pm in the self checkouts.

I could tell she was crazy busy but she came back and helped me with a smile on her face three times in a row - no frustration, no huff, just a friendly human being doing their best.

Might have been a small thing to her, but if you’re struggling every little bit helps.

No carts available. This is continually an issue at this location. However, many are stored around the store with back stock unused. Location only acceptable for quick shopping and anything you can carry.

This store is a disaster. Merchandise thrown all around including the floor. Shelves empty. No assistance and the checkout lines were outrageously long. This location gets worse and worse every day and right now they’re acting like it’s next week. Would not recommend at all.

PARENTS BEWARE!!! This location (North Haven) is absolutely disgusting and they could care less about customer service. Today I sent my husband with our newborn to exchange an unopened and unused box of diapers for a bigger size with the receipt to just be told that Target did no such thing. The manager basically yelled in my husband face that she was not going to return it because it’s passed the 30 day policy since we bought it June 11, 2022. She kept arguing with him and was just being nasty about the whole situation even though when googled Target clearly says we can return it within 90 days. She eventually gave him a gift card due to other customers joining in on the argument but she kept trying to get a reaction out of my husband. She also called security on him as he was leaving with the gift card to search our son’s stroller as if he was stealing when he clearly had the receipt. The whole situation was embarrassing and truly unbelievable coming from this location. I never write reviews but I just wanted to warn someone especially first time parents who are trying to do their best. I don’t think my husband should have been treated this way especially when he had a receipt with him just because employees do not know their own company policy.

This store was very disorganized and had products sitting all over the place in the middle in end of aisles. I'm a handicap person that uses a mobility scooter and over half the aisles that I wanted to go down or blocked by product either on parts or just random products sitting on the floor that I am unable to make myself

Always a great experience. My boyfriend and I come to target about 4-5 times a week. The employees are always helpful and fun to chat with. We are always able to find great sales & never had an issue with customer service (returns)

This store has completely gone down hill. The wait times in line have dramatically increased no matter which time of day you go. There are NEVER carriages inside the store. You spend 10 minutes walking around outside trying to find a carriage with wheels that aren’t locked. Almost every aisle is blocked with boxes or stock waiting to be put on shelves. Inventory is thrown on shelves with no rhyme or reason. The last two times I’ve visited, they never have what I’m looking for. So disappointed in this Target. I’m hard pressed to believe it’s a shortage of staff since I had two of my college age kids apply here and neither got a response.

I would say horrible customer service, but it's really non-existent. Noticed that I had lost something while out shopping, so tried to call them to ask if they had a lost & found. Selected "Guest Services" from the phone menu and the woman who answered said that I needed to talk to someone in guest services(?). I asked if she could transfer me and with a huff she said yes, then hung up on me. Called back at least half a dozen times and it rang repeatedly with no one ever answering.

Save yourself the hassle and shop local instead of spending your money at a soulless big box store like this. Even if it means spending an extra buck or two, you'll be happier, the store owner (who is more likely to care about you) will be happier, and your community will be happier.

The staff are always friendly, welcoming, and extremely helpful. If they don't know, they don't leave your side until they find someone who can help if they can't. This store is always clean and I am proud to call it my local Target!

Every time I go into this particular store (North Haven, CT and most of the Connecticut Targets, actually), it's dirty, disorganized, chaotic, messy, etc. Honestly, I've never really seen a Target like this in any other state. I'm not really sure what has happened? It's just a MESS. And here in CT, it's more like a Wal-Mart than a Target with only 2 registers open. Not everyone wants to use self-checkout.

Further, Target used to have a wide variety of discounts via the app. I used to be able to scan items and add "coupons" and save quite a bit. Now, there is literally never anything available.

Finally, for being such a woke company, it really disappoints me that the plus size section is MAYBE 1/4 of the "regular sized" section for women. You're super inclusive... except of fat people. Nevermind the Little House on the Prairie & 80s/90s looks. I lived the 80s & 90s. I don't need to re-dress like that again. Give me some daggone options!

Target has really disappointed me altogether. I used to shop there all of the time but I never really go anymore.
