Beautiful place, super clean and organize.
Its so easy to find what you are looking for, because the products are well placed. Customer service was okay, respectful and helpful. Parking space is big so you don't have to worry about it, handicap doors are available, etc....

North Haven Big Y is my favorite grocery store. Plenty of real people working at the cash registers. And baggers! And workers that will help you to your car with your groceries. Store is pretty well stocked. Butchers are friendly and offer great suggestions of meats to cook and I even got my knives sharpen here. Thanks to all the wonderful workers at this Big Y!

I usually have good experiences at the bakery but when I special ordered my mothers 70th birthday cake a week in advanced the girl was not helpful. She didn't know what was in the cakes, told me I couldn't order a larger size, and she was suppose to decorate cake with specific colors. The cake i picked up was all white, no decorations, and wrong frosting. Very disappointed.

Shoutout to Catherine in customer service. I left the store yesterday with my groceries and forgot to get my $20 cash that I had requested. Catherine watched video to pinpoint the transaction after she discovered that there was a $20 overage. She called and confirmed that I had in fact forgotten to get the cash. I picked it up today and confirmed that she was the right person to thank. My husband and I loved our Big Y before this incident. Now we love it even more.

They're caring less and less product and as it is the store is small so there's limited options available for almost everything. They used to carry popsicles by culinary tours. These were such delicious popsicles that I would buy two or three boxes at a time. They stopped carrying them. It seems all Big Y's stopped carrying them. These popsicles were so healthy that the first thing on the ingredients was real fruit, and it was real fruit. The key to a good healthy product is for there to be a small amount of ingredients, and that's exactly what these popsicles offer. They replace them with a Brad called Craven, which are horrible and have 30 or more ingredients in the popsicle. Have been so disappointed ever since this happened. They are carrying other culinary tour products, so I don't know why, when the Popsicles were always so popular and hard to find because everybody bought them and loved them, but they would stop carrying them. I made it a point to say something, but nothing came from it. Typical.

I’ve been a loyal customer for many years. But I’m experiencing more and more unsettling experiences. Most recently (today, march 20th) I purchased red peppers. I cut them open less than an hour after buying and found a maggot inside one of them 🤢. I’ve also purchased veggies/fruits in the past that would have mold on the inside. It’s so disappointing and I’m starting to not trust the produce I buy anymore.

By far the cleanest and best super market in the area. Very friendly staff (for the most part). Very disappointed they don't do price matching with their competitor down the street though. Haven't been to Big Y in years. They had some things I wanted on sales, but need to be a member to get sale prices. I went to the front desk and a nice young man helped me fill out information for membership card and I was able to get sale items same day because my information was in the system. Loved it!

I have never had any problems with this place or it’s employees, but whomever was working the floral department today made me feel not welcome or valued, as I know the BigY standard is, and I didn’t feel part of the “BigY family” that is advertised to me. I know this store can do better, but whoever worked in floral today will not help with that process. However, my experience with the bakery department was much better, and what I expect from this store.

I will not be returning to this store. While this is my favorite grocery store in the New Haven area, my experience in your store today frightened me. In the midst of a huge increase in Covid cases more than 50% of patrons were unmasked and nearly all of employees were unmasked.
