The prices are ridiculous. Place an order here and the same order at DQ on the other side of town and then be amazed by the difference. On top of that, if there’s a chance to short you on ice cream in a cup or on a cone, they’ll do it. I ordered a Peanut Buster Parfait last week and they gave it to me 2/3 full. I ordered a soda and they filled 90% of the cup with ice to the point where my straw broke pushing it through, all while paying hotel mini-bar prices.

Summer wouldn't be summer without a few visits to Dairy Queen. So happy to have one nearby right now. Service and cleanliness at this location are great. They have an "A" prominently displayed on the window; not everyone has earned that! Quick stop for a small sundae on the way to pick up groceries and I almost felt like things were normal! My hot fudge sundae was delicious, just what I needed!

The manager (a male) on 9/16 at 335pm shut the window in my face because they made a mistake with my order. I paid extra for snickers in my blizzard and there was barely any snickers in it. He stated “I am not going to be your emotional punching bag” as I tried to EXPLAIN there is always an issue with my order when I go there. Last time, they put peanuts in my husbands blizzard and he’s ALLERGIC to peanuts. We made it all the way home by the time we noticed so we let it go and THANK GOD we had Benadryl to administer for his reaction. The BLATANT DISRESPECT today is UNBELIEVABLE. The customer service is poor. And today was my last day there! Don’t even bother here. Go to Ashley’s on Dixwell Ave !

Full disclosure: I have only been to this DQ over two hundred years, two times. Today, Saturday 3/26/22, was one of them. I stopped on my way around to drive up and saw Blizzard Sea Salt, Toffee and Fudge. I was the only car. As I pulled up, I saw a sign to order at the back fence. I started to back up when a hand from the Order Window beckoned me on. I pulled up and ordered after I asked and was told the sizes. LARGE for $5.+. Transaction completed. Drove 3 blocks home. Weather in the 40s. No heat on in car.
Came in. Settled down to have ice cream in what, in the "old days" would be considered a medium size cup. The ice cream was melted liquid. The "fudge" was not fudgy and was mushy. If there was toffee in the "large" cup I never found it. And when reaching the bottom of the liquid ice cream, there was a large "glop" of the fudge. Would I order it again? NO. Would I stop in another hundred years for DQ ice cream? NO.
I gave 2 stars because the young woman who took my order and my money was courteous. I left t tip.

The ice cream is ok, but the staff can be rude. My last time there, I got in the drive thru 25 minutes before closing. They made me wait to order (no one ahead of me) and the car behind me was told that they couldn't order since they were now closed. They made him sit at the drive thru for about 10 minutes before informing him they were closed. I won't be going there again. There's a better one on Washington Ave.

Went to this location and found a sloppy sign that said, “Drive thru only due to labor shortage.” I found this unacceptable as this business should’ve been paying and treating its employees fairly to ensure this wouldn’t happen. I hope they start giving their current and future workers fair wages so they can stop losing employees who aren’t treated right. Maybe it’s time to pay food service people like they’re “essential” since they’ve been burdened with that label.

Also, the sign is an eyesore. A six year old with arthritis could’ve made a better one.

I was so disappointed that they didn’t have the cotton candy ice cream flavor anymore. But still it’s ok they got many more flavors to tryout. They need to speed up on the drive-thru window because people squeeze too close to each other and you now have to sit and wait for someone to move ahead.

Arrived at 9:30, got to the drive through window at 9:31. Despite the “Open” sign still being on, and selling to the car in front of us, was told that they closed at 9:30. Rudely refused to sell ice cream even though it was for our 3 year old. 3 year old ended up on tears. Shameful. Will never visit this location ever again.

Used to swear by this DQ. But now I am totally disappointed in it. A friend and myself were ordering and the girl taking our order just ignored how we wanted our milkshakes and they were made wrong. We always get a large chocolate shake, made with chocolate ice cream. I mean how hard is that to do? I hope the owners will talk to their workers so that the orders they take are done correctly. My friend couldn't finish her shake because of the mistake and I was upset, because I swore by this particular Dairy Queen and how great it is...☹️☹️
