Just had dinner at Tokyo Sushi II in North Haven and it was so good! A Wednesday, so it wasn’t packed, but the food felt so fresh and so tasty! The maki were great -- loved the Alaska roll, I think it was called -- spicy salmon with more salmon. It was so delicious my husband tried to take the rest of it after he tried it. But the highlight for me were the little shrimp dumplings and the pork dumplings...We will be back for those and get a double order. Thin wrapper, great filling, and perfect pan fry on the bottom, with a sauce that was so good I actually pulled the plate from the waitress when she started clearing our plates. We decided to try a new place tonight just for fun, and yeah, this place was good.

I love this place. It's my go-to for sushi in north haven for lunch. Never a long wait. Order is always correct. Place is clean. Food is neatly packed or served. There's always a nice design on the plate when you eat in, made with a sauce! You get a small plate of nicely cut fruit to cleanse your palate afterwards. I've ordered a party platter too, was not disappointed. The chicken tempura was a hit with those who didn't eat real sushi... the sweet potatoe roll is amazing! Seafood dumplings are great... you just won't be disappointed.

Aging note 3yrs later: this place is still a can't lose go-to spot. Even for dining alone. Food is amazing.

We haven’t ordered sushi from here for years because last couple times we were disappointed in food quality. Gave it another try today since Soga (our go to) doesn’t deliver and were disappointed again. My husband got teriyaki chicken bento box and couldn’t finish it because it was rubbery. The crab rangoons barely had any filling at all and my shrimp mango sushi was mostly mango with a hint of shrimp. Won’t get food here again.

Went for lunch and the chef was extremely cordial making menu recommendations and taking the time to check back. I love this about great Japanese cuisine. You could taste the chefs passion with unique items on the menu.

My son has been ordering from this location for the past 3 years. He gets about 4 rolls and nigiri sushi. Generally, it cost between $85- $100 for his order. Sometimes when I'm in town I'll pick it up, and other times, he has it delivered by Door Dash. Last night he had is usual order - sako roll, angel roll, fantasy roll, dragon roll, and some nigiri. It was delivered by Door Dash, but it was ordered online from their website. An hour after he ate it, he vomited so violently that he burst blood vessels in his eyes. Last night, I called to tell them that there was a problem with the food since our son vomited, but the owner was adamant that it wasn't their fault. She said that Door Dash was the problem. She said that sometimes you can't be sure where Door Dash picks up. How is that even possible when we ordered from her website. Needless to say, we won't be eating here again. If the restaurant doesn't really care and says, it's not our fault and someone violently vomited after one hour of eating it, that means the bacteria buildup was so huge that the body needed to eject it right away. Sometimes it takes hours to vomit if the bacteria buildup is minor, but in this case it was so bad that it was immediate. I get it is a small family business but health and safety is important. It's not their sushi was the best, it was just convenient because there was delivery. Here's a photo of our son's eyes this morning due to the violent vomiting. The doctor said it was due to the intensity of vomiting from last night. I'm really disappointed in this restaurant owner's response. Especially since my son has been ordering from them for the past 3 years on a regular basis. We won't be going back.

Love this place! We just moved to the area and I wasn't sure this place would be good, but the sushi, tempura, bento boxes and chicken teriyaki are delicious! The edamame is fresh and crunchy just like we like it. Some folks over cook their edamame but theirs is perfect! My daughter loves the avocado rolls, because they are mostly avocado instead of mostly rice. So many great rolls here! Delicious!

Probably one of the most delicious meals I've had in a while. Door attendant and waitress were respectful and well mannered. The view from behind the folk or chop sticks was pleasant as so delightful. Overall dinning experience even though I ate alone is one to have again.

I drove by this restaurant on a trip from Boston to NYC, frankly to use the restroom but I still wanted to pick up some food. I'll be honest - I didn't expect much from a sushi restaurant in the middle of nowhere, but WOW. I was thoroughly impressed, absolutely blown away. I live in NYC, and I've never had this high quality of sushi, especially at this price and quantity. If I lived nearby I would routinely return. A fantastic experience that made my day, cheers to the owners and chef!

This was an incredible experience; probably one of the best sushi places I've gone to! Their assorted sushi dish was a nice appetizer for what was to come. Their salmon teriyaki... what can I say about that? Buttery, sweet, and just melts in your mouth. And the sashimi dinner. Oh, the sashimi dinner. That presentation was exquisite, best presentation I've ever had on a dish less than 50$. All the fish was really fresh. Their ice cream tempura was a nice end to the meal. All in all, an amazing meal; definitely coming again and recommend to all.

Been here many times food and services was very good but today Dec 1, 2021. so disappointed our sasimi not fresh and smell bad we told server but she said looks OK to her and we have to understand about the shipping it took too long that why also we order Egg fried rice for our son but she brought beef fried rice we told it not what we ordered but she said just small pieces of beef we can just pick it out ...waste money ..it's just a bad day I guess lol ps. we left foods with $15 tips

The dishes weren't cleaned properly. They gave me a warm gingerale with a dirty glass. Food came out and was not good at all.. I went because of the 4.6 star rating but left very disappointed.

Ordered many rolls with avocado and the avocado was completely raw to the point where we couldn't eat it and had to pick it out. Not something we should have to do when paying so much for lunch. Very disappointing.

My husband and I stopped by last night to grab some takeout sushi. I realize it is more risky for takeout than cooked food during this time but I had a craving for it and most places have been very safe while preparing food. I went into the vestibule to place my order. The woman at the window was not wearing a mask (even though they are selling masks at this sushi place). I ask her if they wear masks while preparing food and she nodded and says of course they do, she just took hers off to eat. All the blinds are drawn so I can't see the sushi chefs. Ok, that's reasonable I guess, although they really should put masks on when interacting with customers. I place my order and go wait in my car. My husband walks up to pick up the order about 20 minutes later, he realizes that she was not wearing a mask, so he craned his neck against the order window to see the sushi chefs, BOTH of them are not wearing masks while handling raw food. Both are laughing and joking over the food they are preparing. I tell her that she was not being honest about their food prep procedures and they are potentially putting people at risk, she just blushes and giggles and runs off...WHAT? So then one of the sushi chefs comes up to the window and just stares at us. I tell him it's not ok the way they are preparing food and how unacceptable it is to lie about it. He laughs and nods, and I don't have time to scold these "adults"so I just leave without my food, which is a shame because from the reviews, it sounds like the sushi is good here. I went down the street to Soga sushi where they were taking all the proper precautions and the sushi was very good.

We were headed back from a lil family getaway and had a craving for sushi. Ordered the shrimp tempura roll, french dragon roll and eel dragon roll...so fresh and so delicious. If I'm ever in the area again this is definitely my go to sushi place. Thanks!!!

Veggie sushi rolls were good. I ordered the three roll lunch special with a salad. They sent my sushi with NO WASABI and it was a huge miss.

Ginger salad was just OK. Chicken tempura app was whats expected, served with 2 pieces of chicken and a few veggies. Eel sauce and spicy mayo were great.

Prices are pretty steep here, I wouldn’t order if it wasn’t on lunch special. They do not deliver, but deliver through UberEats. Uber charges a delivery fee and a service fee, plus you have to tip the driver.

Yummy and fresh sushi rolls.The pricing is very reasonable. I got their 3 roll lunch special - comes with 3 rolls of your choosing from a list and then a choice of salad or soup. The rolls were not packed with too much rice and had generous portions of fresh ingredients in every roll. The salad was great. I really enjoyed their ginger dressing. I ordered for delivery and it came in good time. Definitely satisfied my sushi craving. Will be ordering from here again :)

i am not a sushi person i never even really tried sushi or raw fish ever but i just got the Salmon Sashimi, The Avocado sushi Rolls & the chicken tempura sushi rolls & THAT WAS SO AMAZING!!!!!!!!!❤️❤️❤️ i will DEFINITELY be coming back!!! the price was even acceptable i thought it wouldve been super insanely expensive but im just WOWED by everything im SUPER impressed the sashimi was so fresh 😍 it didnt taste fishy (and i can not stand a fishy taste so that was major for me) everything was fresh honestly lol I dont have any complaint AT ALLLL. it was PERFECT!

Our glasses were filthy and wait staff didn't seem to notice; makes me uncertain of the cleanliness standards. However the sushi was good. I especially liked their peanut avocado roll. To bad there's no telling if everything was sanitary.

I gave this a high number of stars because i agree that the restaurant was clean, the sushi chefs were professional, and the quality and portion sizes of all that was served, was excellent. I did not give them 5 stars because i found the older woman to be rushed and rude (the place was empty), and extremely rude to the helpful and friendly younger server. I was horrified to have witnessed this behavior and will probably not return because of it.
