If I could leave no stars I would I littlerly called dicks sporting goods all over Connecticut New York and Massachusetts and customer service was terrible I’m getting different information at each dicks some say I can ship from store to store then I’m being told that they have the product I’m looking for but when I ordered it for pick up it got canceled not once but twice I was told they had item and when I bought it, it got canceled please do not contact dicks north haven it was Horrible service at north haven. They littlerly keep hanging up in my face now that my order got cancelled again. I was told my items were put off to the side for me to order online and pick up I drove there with my newborn baby and they are acting like they have no clue what I’m talking about. The employees act like children littlerly said “ I dnt know who your talking about bye” and hung up in my face while driving there. I am a manager at a different store not dicks and I would never treat a customer this way. I would never tell a customer I am holding there items to buy them and then have someone drive over there for there order to be canceled and then everyone in the store to be looking at my like I’m crazy. I’m calling to speak to a manger and they keep hanging up in my face. Next time I will ask for names when I’m speaking to someone (even though they can lie) I do not want to get anyone fired everyone deserves to support there family but when your playing around with people and there kids Christmas gifts anyone spending there hard earned money in general they should be spoken to and have them fix there attitude.

I had purchased a putter online and this location fulfilled my order. When I received the putter at my home, it was poorly packaged and damaged, so I filled out the survey that automatically emails to you after your order is delivered. Bryanna responded immediately and helped me get a replacement right away, ensuring that the next shipment will be packaged correctly.
Even though the fulfillment of the first online order was poor, I can tell the management cares about their service and is active in trying to resolve issues. Sometimes orders can fall through the cracks and people can make mistakes, but their response more than made up for it. So I want to highlight how professional and attentive Bryanna was in handling the situation!

They were so helpful today. Went in after learning my kid made the volleyball team. The shows she needed weren't in the store but the associate looked online and found us some options and was able to save is some money from buying at another place online. Also bought the socks in the team color and knee pads. thank you

Excellent customer service! I was shopping there yesterday (4/3/23) for youth baseball equipment, which I know NOTHING about. Manager Dana was the first to help me locate some items. I continued shopping and perusing the necessary items that I was able to find... until I couldn't find anymore. Matt, an associate, took the time to help me locate the remaining items that I needed. There were some that he ended up having to go to the back stockroom to retrieve (he ended up going to the back 2-3 times, God bless him!). I ended up being in the store for over an hour and a half, but the experience was pleasant and well worth it. Ronan my cashier helped me close out my order with speed and efficiency.

What happened to the shoe buying process? You can't just try on shoes anymore, now you have to pick only three pairs at a time out of a kiosk and some poor worker has to drag them out of the back for you if they have them. The whole thing takes forever, and is very awkward. I don't know if they did it as a theft deterrent or something, but it is much less customer friendly.

Went to return an adidas shoe which was bought a couple of days back. The manager said I would get only $22 because I didn’t have a receipt. It was originally bought at $40+. I left the shoe for free at the store so that manager can sell it and get a raise!

Yesterday I picked up a batting helmet and face mask at Dick’s in North Haven. When we got home it didn’t have the hardware for the face mask. I called today and within minutes they resolved the problem and went above and beyond in making sure this was handled in a customer centered fashion! Thank you!

The workers here are so incredibly rude. They don't even ask you if you need help and just stare at you and when you do ask you get attitude and nasty eyes. You need to do better. It's the people visiting the store keeping you employed. If you don't like your job in customer service, maybe work in a room by yourself.

This was my 1st time in this store. What an amazing, clean and organized store. I came in to buy a pair of sneakers Hoxa to be exact. The sales associate, Jonathan, was wonderful! Very pleasant, kind, a real joy to talk to. I was disappointed to learn that Hoxa are only sold on line but Jonathon remembered that the store received a few returns. They just happened to be size 8, my size! I tried both, one was too wide but the other one fit perfect!!! Win ,Win!!! Thank you Jonathan for your help!! The young man at the register, I’m sorry I didn’t get his name was very pleasant as well. It’s GREAT to meet a smiling friendly faces. I’ll be back when the new Hoxa line comes out!

UPDATE...
May 24, 2021: Tried to price match an item and was told that the price match had to include the cost of shipping (not true). item + shipping = price they stated they would match. I asked the employee to show me where this was stated in DSG’s price match guarantee and whether this was a recent change. They stated that it had always been the policy (not true). They then called a manager. The manager (same one as below) lied and pointed to a section about price matching on delivery and assembly (I was buying a lure). That section of the FAQ is designated for large appliance installation where the cost of delivery and assembly is usually high and can be reduced as a perk (see screenshot below, highlighted section). It has nothing to do with “pricing in” the cost of shipping. I called corporate customer service and they confirmed that the price match guarantee applies to the item itself and that shipping should *never* be added when calculating the price match cost. I noted the section of the website I was shown (screenshot below) and they stated definitively that this has nothing to do with incorporating shipping costs into the matched price.
If you ask for a price match, they will almost certainly do this to you. Be careful! Not sure why this store is so off but my guess is it is due to local leadership trying to cut corners and deny qualifying requests for price matching and exchanges/returns to boost their performance metrics. Again, one star.
May 20, 2021: One star for poor customer service and support. Tried to return a defective fishing rod and was told I could not return or exchange the item without paying extra for the protection plan at the initial purchase. Was repeatedly told that rods fell under a special category. Hard to believe a word they say at this store (see update above).
Corporate customer service recognized the error and gave me a refund.

Cashier (name tag said Matt) had zero customer service skills. Not even a “hi” just picked up the scanner to scan items and slams it back into place. Same person two days in row and same rude experience both times. You know the transaction is over when he hands you the receipt. I don’t know why have someone like that on the register.

Called to put an item on hold so I can buy it today, transferred me twice to the bike shop spoke with a rude associate. Then they lied about having the item when I told them to put it aside for me, so they put on hold again to actually check if it was there, on hold again for a while sent back to the main call line and told them I was being helped they said they would transfer me and instead hung up. Thanks for the run around.

I was looking at snowboards for my friend as we were hitting the slopes tonight and a manly woman in a pony tail approached us and accused us of just goofing around and moved us away. I already looked through the fishing section and had product in my hand clearly ready to buy it but after hearing that type of attitude I no longer felt comfortable giving my money to the store. The only reason they got 2 stars is because they had a decent chatterbait selection.

Bought a bike for our daughter here. The wheels were not straight, the reflector was on the seat post but never tightened, and the rear brakes barely stopped the bike. Took it to my local store at the Danbury Fair Mall and everything was adjusted, tighted and ready to go 10 minutes later.

The best customer service that I have received, anywhere, in a long time! I had a licensed sports team shirt to exchange for a different size, without a receipt because I received it as a gift. I was given personal attention to help look for the specific product that I wanted and after it was determined that it was not available in the store, I was given the option to have the correct size shipped directly to my home with no shipping costs at all to me. Now THAT'S how to keep customers coming back! Kudos!

Nice variety of sports apparel and equipment. Most came brands you'll find here. Prices are moderate, try to shop sales. Not always easy finding staff to help you, especially in the snow section, but today i found someone easily amazingly so I had to mention that. Easy to be in and out fairly quickly. I don't like the layout of the shoes, there seems to be no rhyme or reason to the order, like every other aisle is men's, or women's. And the signage is not easy to locate. That's actually why I spent more time here than I wanted on my short lunch break. Usually very clean. Plenty of parking. Professional staff, but don't take any advice from them for running shoes! Do your own research.

Never again. No floor employees to provide help. Service desk too busy taking photos of each other. Needed a stopwatch. After two circuits of the store, I went to the service desk again, and this time I got someone's attention...but she thought it was funny that I was frustrated. She then told me that the stopwatches were under the basketball hoops on the left hand side of the store so I started my walk yet again. Once at the basketball hoops I could not find the stopwatches and pressed the help button. Five minutes later when someone finally showed up he couldn't find them either and finally decided that the store was out. I could have started my shopping day at Target or Walmart but I thought for an item like a stopwatch I'd be better off to go to a sports store and the selection might be better. How mistaken I was. Never again.

I wanted to get my racquet restrung. I was told it would be done in a week and was not given an exact due date. When I week pass I called and was told it’s still is not finished and they would call me when it was done, but I could not be get a date. About a week and half past I finally got my racquet back, but the stringing was bad workmanship.

My bike is fixed and was completed today! From 1 star to 5! There's that customer service I expect from DSG!
Dropped off my bike on Sunday Morning, was told it could possibly get done that day, if not the following day (Monday). i called Monday and no one knew anything about my bike, so another associate said it would be done today (Tuesday), I just called, now it won't be done until Thursday!

This Dick's had and indoor cage that allows to test bats off a tee before purchasing them. Great idea that allows you to find the best bat for yourself.

Apparently closing at 7 means I can show at 6:15 and all the doors are locked with no employees to be found, as I left the lot I saw 4 other people try to get in so it's impacting several people at this point.
If the hours changed, I would recommend changing the hours posted online and on the sign out front. If not, I would recommend not having employees close at least 45 minutes early. Who knows how long the doors were locked before I got there.

This place has a great selection of sporting goods from wreastling shoes and head gear to field hockey sticks and shoes. There staff is very knowledgeable and there to help. If you need sports you need to go there.
