Always a great place to walk around in and be pleasantly surprised. If you have to do christmas or birthday shopping on a budget this is your place. It's impossible not to find something for anyone here. Great basic cellphone supplies although leans more towards iPhone than android. I dare you to walk out with nothing!

I don’t know where my comment went, but if I could leave zero stars, I would this worker got mad because I push the cart up that she had Items in she was blocking the shirts Area and I didn’t even see her. She was very argumentative for the start. I wanted to keep going the whole store overheard
What she was saying and arguing about I’m not the argumentative type of person so my friend had to say something and before I left I told her if she’s a miserable person, don’t take it out on others

It's basically a higher end version of a dollar store, but has many items over its $5 name - company greed no doubt. Its junk gifts or items for short term use before disposal.
I don't recommend, but also not against them. There is no loss if you don't go, and no gain if you do.

I ordered online on 9/25/24, several items, four items I had to pick up at the North Haven store . I called bc I never received the email to let me know the items were ready for pick-up. The employee,that answered the phone was, not very friendly, no customer service etiquette whatsoever...she told me the order wasn't ready and didn't know when it would be ready!!! Unbelievable! Who trains these folks??? Never again....

I love coming here especially during the holidays for stocking stuffers, gifts, even things for myself. great atmosphere, employees are super friendly. they also have self checkout!
funny story:
came here one night to do some shopping for a friend and accidently locked my keys in the car, including my phone. had to go inside and ask to use a phone and the employees were so kind and let me call my dad and even let me stay inside to wait for my ride even after they closed.
those women deserve a raise!! thank you for your kindness!

I was exchanging my charger like I do every once and awhile (i’ve been doing it for over a year) and the workers both told me that the policies changed and that I need the receipt now. I went to the other 5 below by my house because I didn’t believe it, and they were 1000x friendlier and told me that the policy starts on 6/30. Seemed like the employees in North Haven were not interested in helping me and did not care.

Always have loved your store , always will. Some prices are great, while others are a bit high for the quality. Had a few items I def used to the fullest, and a few others that broke shortly after buying...

Bottom line ..they have alotta cool, different items.

I like this store and I like going to it but I just don’t like how the employees are pretty much standing over your shoulder as you’re checking out. They stand so close that you can feel them breathing on you. Other than that, it’s a good store. Nice variety of toys, beauty supplies, and anything else you can think of.

I had to visit the New Haven store because the Milford store was sold out. The store was clean, organized and the employees were very friendly, helpful and even helped me bring my purchase to my car. There is plenty of parking available. I definitely recommend this store.

As for the FIVE DOLLAR concept; I really haven't gone, but very.much looking forward to visiting. I have heard some good things. The "DOLLAR STORE"? That's a different story. For some reason I'm suspicious of most dollar store-type places. Like, why would I want to buy much of anything for a dollar? Then, you find all this stuff for MORE than a dollar and all of a sudden I feel like they're robbing me! It's a roller coaster of conflicting feelings and the math is all off. Could be worse problems I suppose...

This 5 below location can be a hit or miss. They have summer activities and always have the new trends. They have also added self check outs which i feel are more slower (the system is very unresponsive). A lot of technology and knock offs. Even though it’s called 5 below, phone cases, and other items are $5+. I do not recommend for any snacks since they are over priced and can be found cheaper literally anywhere else. Decor section is okay, a lot of choices but items like lights or anything electronic in general don’t last very long. They have a big arts and craft section which is extremely good. Like i mentioned before they have some knock offs, which isn’t always bad. You can find copies of some games which are the same thing but for WAY cheaper. A huge selection of water bottles, work out items, make up, and personal products!
