Thursday night dinner with family for the first time and probably the last time.

Service was quick given the fact that there was only on other table being serviced. We ordered drinks but no appetizers. Our dinner was served with little wait time, at the same time and all entrées were hot.

I ordered the Miami (or Miami Beach) poke bowl and although it did not look like a traditional poke bowl, it was delicious. My salmon was cooked to perfection and the skin was crispy and well-seasoned. Others in my party ordered medium-well steaks and they too were well cooked and seasoned perfectly. Another member of the party ordered pasta and he said it was very delicious.

For dessert, we ordered the pistachio-covered cheesecake and it was super until we poured the rose-infused glaze and it completely changed the flavor and overpowered it in a negative manner.

The food, overall, was delicious and everything well-seasoned and cooked. The service however was lack-luster and we had to practically had to beg for water in a small restaurant with only 3 tables being served. The servers, although polite and smiling, did not seem genuinely pleased to serve us and were a little snobby.

Again, food was terrific, but cannot say the same about the service.

Exquisite dinner at this cozy restaurant. The whole-wheat Michi’s Tequeños as well as the Tuna Tostadas were uniquely delicious. Each recommendation by Salvatore was on the spot. We had different dishes like the Passion Fruit Salmon and the Rigatoni & Salmon, but the winner of the night was the Tenderloin Malbec! Ended the night with the tasty and creative Chocolate Roots.

Absolutely love this Miami gem! The food is incredibly tasty, and the fact that it's healthy and organic is a huge bonus for me. With my busy schedule, I rely on this restaurant as my go-to spot almost every day, and every meal feels like a comforting taste of home. The service is always warm and friendly, and I especially appreciate the new look which adds to the overall wonderful experience. Highly recommend giving it a try!

I came today and was expecting my old Michis!!! Came to the surprise that they have remodel it and changed the brand, name AND my old menu!!! I was reluctant at the beginning and almost walked out. Second time I ordered for pick up, first time many items were missing, and they couldn't deliver, so I had to sent uber, because I wasn't able to pick up. This time, they left me waiting for long time and order came with rotten avocado. I truly understand that having a restaurant involves many things, but haven’t had luck with them.

Una experiencia deliciosa en Honest Roots!

Visitamos Honest Roots en Doral y, sinceramente, fue una experiencia excepcional de principio a fin. Desde el ambiente acogedor hasta la atención impecable, cada detalle estuvo perfectamente cuidado.

La estrella de la tarde, sin duda, fue la Smoked Burrata, un plato lleno de sabor, frescura y una presentación espectacular. También probamos el Lomo Saltado, que estaba perfectamente sazonado y con una combinación de sabores que nos dejó sin palabras.

Para cerrar con broche de oro, no pueden dejar de probar la Pavlova. Es ligera, dulce en su punto exacto y simplemente deliciosa.

Si buscas un lugar para disfrutar de comida saludable sin sacrificar el sabor ni la experiencia culinaria, Honest Roots es definitivamente el lugar indicado. ¡Altamente recomendado y con ganas de regresar muy pronto!

Michis siempre fue mi restaurante favorito, de hecho, siempre que me preguntaban que quería de regalos pedía gift cards de allí, de esas gifs me quedaron 2, una con saldo de $10 y otra completamente nueva de $50. El restaurante cambio de nombre pero con la misma.dueña. Hoy llame para saber si las podía utilizar y la chica que contestó dijo que creía que no había problema y que fuera, cuando llegue nos hicieron esperar mucho, sentí una actitud un poco hostil sin embargo decidimos quedarnos a comer. Esperamos un buen rato y la mesera me pidió las tarjetas para revisar, al rato llegó la dueña quien dijo que esas tarjetas ya eran de mucho tiempo atrás y que no tenía como confirmarlas, que preguntara a quien me dio la que aún no había utilizado el valor y si tenía prueba del pago, y que ella me podía dar un crédito. Mi hija me envió el pantallazo y la prueba que era de allí y era por mi cumpleaños. La dueña se fue sin que le pudiera decirle y al momento de pagar le pedí a una de las que trabajaba allí que le preguntara sobre mi crédito, al final solo me dieron un descuento de 20% en la cuenta que fue de $72, ósea me descontaron $11 total pagado $62 usd y mis gifs card (que sumaban $60) prácticamente a la basura, conclusión yo perdí el restaurante gano y quedé muy decepcionada por el manejo de la dueña , última vez que pido tarjetas de allí.

Stay away from this overpriced restaurant. Food tastes like cardboard, and the service is terrible. Had to come in and ask for a menu after 10 minutes of waiting, then had to ask for a glass of water after 30 minutes of the server not acknowledging our table. When the food comes out, my partners food comes out first (cold) and then mine comes out. Disgusting food taste. Stay away.

Overpriced for the quality of food. Food was not good, coffee was not good and the prices were insane. $70 for a juice, coffee, two arepas and tequeños. They also include a 20% service fee for breakfast. Fatal, no lo recomiendo.

No soy de escribir buenos ni malos comentarios de los sitios que frecuentamos. Sin embargo, esta vez es necesario. Fuimos a este lugar emocionados por probarlo y sin dudar será la última vez que vendremos. La atención súper mala, pedimos el chachapa roll que viene con nata o crema la cual estaba fermentada lo cual fue demasiado desagradable, lo comunicamos con el server sin intenciones de que nos quitaran el plato de la cuenta… pero ni siquiera una cortesía o un disculpa? Increíble mala atención. Adicionalmente, Pedimos un extra de carne lo cual nos cobraron $17 por 3 pedacitos de carne… parece broma. Realmente nos gusta probar lugares nuevos, pero experiencias como estas realmente desaniman a seguir probando restaurantes. Ojalá los dueños de este restaurante lean este tipo de comentarios y tomen acciones para que su negocio no deje de crecer.

Wow! 1st time coming after their renovation, the place is beautiful and food even better. I think this is the best cauliflower pizza I ever had, and to be honest, I couldn’t tell it was cauliflower. I Do Not Recommend this restaurant anymore.

I came back to Michis after it’s been remodeled. The atmosphere was truly more relaxed and homey, and pristine. The customer service as great as well except that when I gave the waitress feedback on what I ordered, she did not offer a solution, nor promised to let the manager know about the issue.

We ordered cachapa roll and it was not worth its price. $17 for 5 pieces of plantain pieces with avocado spoiling , fried plantain inside roll was cold and overcooked.

The famous Michis tequenos were fried in lots of oil. I asked the waitress about it’s preparation to which she responded “these tequenos come pre-cooked and are quickly fried here in the kitchen”.
Not sure if that answer helps me feel better about this order.

Matcha and cortadito tasted fine, presentation and all.

I hope this message gets seen by administration and resolved. I was definitely expecting more for the price we paid. Also, waitress never mentioned that the tip was included until I asked her. I tipped her a second time on my own accord.

I absolutely love the food there, everything always taste so good(specially their French fries). The place itself is so pretty, they always have good music. The only thing is, they change their menu wayy to often and when you ask about a plate they used to have they immediately shut you off not offering something alike.

We had a wonderful time at Honest Roots. It is a cute little place with a Mediterranean vibe. The staff was very attentive and efficient. The drinks were delicious. I had the Limoncello Spritzer, and it was refreshing and tasty. We went during Happy Hour and they had a great selection of drinks and food at a very reasonable price. For food, we had tried the wild truffle pizza and mini-tequenos. Both were excellent. The tequenos were well cooked and the breading had a unique taste as they were made with whole wheat! The wild truffle pizza was incredible. We loved how the mozzarella cheese melted into the cauliflower crust. What a great meal and such a nice place. Thank you to Alberto and the entire staff for their hard work

Have given this place several tries, not going to lie the food is good but service is bad! they should also put focus on the service which is important, they only have 1 server for the entire place which makes the wait time excessive on top of basically having to continuously have to ask for items multiple times (straw, sugar, a box) The printed menu is outdated, I ordered the farm salad and when I got it, it was missing a main ingredient which when I asked I was told they didn’t have it anymore. This is such a great healthy spot! A mix of very good food made creatively with a lot of purpose! Cauliflower dough is AMAZING and now they even got great cocktails and happy hour! I had a very nice afternoon with my friends and we had the best service with Jeny and Yailliz!

Tuvimos una experiencia fantástica en Honest Roots. La comida fue deliciosa y fresca, el rigatoni con boloñesa para mi hijo estaba divino. Pero lo que realmente hizo la diferencia fue el servicio excepcional de Richard. Fue atento, amable y se aseguró de que todo estuviera perfecto durante nuestra visita. Es un sitio acogedor es pequeño pero lindo, la comida estuvo deliciosa, una sopa de vegetales y un bowl de salmón, la atenuó estuvo muy buena y de verdad es un sitio donde se come rico y bien!

It is a cozy place, it is small but nice, the food was delicious, a vegetable soup and a salmon bowl, the salad was very good and it really is a place where you can eat delicious and well!

I have never left a review before, especially a bad one, but Honest roots, formerly known as Michis left a bad taste in my mouth.
We(2 people) came in at 8:15 PM, and one of the first things the server said was "The kitchen closes at 9:30" immediately made us feel rushed even though we had almost an hour and a half, had we arrived at 9 or more, it would have been understandable however that was not the case.
Next, the food and drinks that are below average at best, like the hibiscus tea, which ever so slightly tasted like hibiscus and instead had an incense or perfume like aftertaste. Then to the meal which the rigatoni salmon that tasted like store bought low quality pasta sauce, but the salmon was allright. Next the carne asada I had asked for medium term, and they gave me medium rare closer to rare, and the portion size made no sense, it was almost all rice and a smaller portion of the meat.
And lastly, the entire time our server was eyeing us down making the atmosphere very uncomfortable and unwelcoming as if to intimidate us, every single time she passed us not only did she have a bad attitude she had the machine for the bill out(POS) as if she wanted us to pay and leave, and it still was not even close to 9:30 where only the kitchen would be closed not the place. Also, after all that, we come to find our bill being 70 something dollars because of a service charge of about 10 dollars already added and not advertised at all, AKA bad experience and charged for a good service which we did not recieve.

Este lugar esta muy lejos de ser un restaurant Gourmet o un Casa Tua para incluir el tip de 18% y encima el server decir que su propina no esta incluida en ese 18% porque el restaurant lo reparte y usa para mejoras, los servers deberían pedir una reforma a su sindicato y dejar de soportar esas conductas abusivas de los dueños de bakeries o cafes rápidos como este lugar que dista mucho de un lugar high end para pedir tanta propina un area de gente trabajadora como el Doral. están en el Doral caballero!

Hay que probarlo si no han ido antes ahora si tienen que ir.

Super sweet place to hang out with friends or even a date with your boo. The food is absolutely delicious and the staff is very kind, friendly and welcoming. I had dinner last night at this place and I loved the atmosphere. Definitely going back soon. Highly recommended 👌🏻

Second time I ordered for pick up, first time many items were missing, and they couldn't deliver, so I had to sent uber, because I wasn't able to pick up. This time, they left me waiting for long time and order came with rotten avocado. I truly understand that having a restaurant involves many things, but haven’t had luck with them.

Es importante hacer cumplir lo que ofrecen por Uber Eats ya que hay oferta engañosa donde dice compra uno y lleva uno gratis, entonces llamo y la respuesta de Alejandra es, eso es Uber eats que lo hace no nosotros. La pregunta es, Uber East es quien prepara la comida o ustedes ? Deberían actualizarse que promociones hay online de manera que cuando reciban el pedido sepan si se le aplica promoción o no. Llamé para pedir la información y el manager está ocupado para ofrecer respuesta, que me comunique en dos horas, y es que cuando se trata de atención al cliente y más casos de servicio sería mejor ofrecer respuesta inmediata.

Honest Roots was such a pleasant surprise! I was expecting healthy and that it is. The use of fresh, high quality ingredients is evident, but besides that every bite we tasted was absolutely delicious!!! We were a party of eight and ordered all the appetizers to taste a little bit of everything. and every one was delightful. We especially enjoyed the tuna tartar tostadas. Both beef entrees were amazing and my friend really enjoyed the pasta. The menu has a wide variety of choices. Our congrats to the chef!!!! Delicious!!!

Fuimos por cafe y terminamos con postre y café. Capuccino y Machiatto doble ambos buenos. Ordenamos el Baklava cheesecake que no parece un cheesecake sino mas bien como una torta de pan con Pistachios. Viene con un sirup a base de rosas que me resultó bien innovador y divino. La presentacion del postre está linda con pequeños petalos de rosas que por su puesto los comimos. El sitio quedo bien renovado y el personal atento, definitivamente volveremos a seguir conociendo nuevos platos.

Me fascinó el lugar, la primera vez entré por un café y me llamó la atención la variedad exótica como el café con crema pistacho, descubrí que hacían pizzas saludables con harina de coliflor si no es porque lo dice el menú ni te lo imaginas pues un sabor exquisito, bien fina al estilo italiano. El servicio fue muy bueno, el joven que nos atendió, Salvatore fue excelente, extremadamente profesional y amable. Luego vine una segunda vez también con mi hija y el trato también fue excepcional, esta vez fuimos atendidos por Richard y Yen, ambos también muy amables y atentos a nuestras necesidades. Es de mis lugares favoritos y lo recomiendo 1000%

The food is not the same anymore, the chicken is prepared differently, the potato’s are not so healthy, the pasta with salmon not the same , not so tasty. Did you change the cook or the recipes? I ordered delivery and also dine in. Please the good thing about it before was the difference between you and other restaurants, the way of cooking the healthy style. The chicken please 🙏🏼 made in the sous vide was excellent before and potato’s not so salty. Please bring the old cook person. Thank you
