I visit Lowes alot and spend a lot of money yearly. This was my worst experience at any Lowes. I went in today 12/30/2024 around 220pm. I went in for drywall and a window. Why on Earth would they stack the drywall above 5 feet 4. One drywall is heavy and two without assistance it is very hard to get it down from up that high. I asked for assistance twice and although it was called over the speakers no one ever came.I waited more than 20 minutes and still nothing. Many employees just sitting at pro rewards and or walking around. The only two people I saw actually working were a young guy name alex and the older gentleman who was driving the forklift. I went to pay and initially only one register was open no self checkout registers open near the big exit. So after a bad experience and long wait I will not be back.

I visited this store on 25th of june and bought a toro 42 inch 15.5hp zero turn mower, wasn't properly shown how to operate and said the blue handle was a speed throttle, it started violently shaking when engaging the blades, and at moments it would randomly shut off. Well I go back and I was told to try the ariens 52 inch mower, so today I went and picked up the mower, unbeknownst to me they had to charge the battery and I didn't know it at first cause it started raining and the guy told me and my disable dad that we can go sit in our vehicle while he load it on our trailer for us. Well I'll be damned I bring it home and it won't crank, I tried to charge it and it starts smoking. What's bad is I would have 100% recommend lowes for lumber, fittings, they have everything you need hardware wise, bought washers and dryers from them as well. But my experience with buying a zero turn from yall was horrid. I used to trust you guys when it came to mowers, but now I won't. Had an employee tell me it was a bad battery, and don't understand how I would've got sold a zero turn mower with a dead battery.

It's an ok place to get tools or materials for whatever project you are working on, but I advise you to already know what you need because I haven't had any luck with finding a CSA(customer service associate) with any kind of knowledge gained from real world on the job experience no matter what the department is.

Do not buy appliances from Lowe's. When you try to buy the appliances you want they make excuses as to why they can't sell you that one. They upsell you on the more expensive ones. They deliver it with parts missing. Then make you file a warranty claim for a 3 dollar dryer leg. They refuse to sell you a display model but won't give you the leg off of the display model to make yours complete.
Update- After being referred to Samsung, and being told that Samsung doesn't cover a leg for a dryer, Lowe's Assistant Manager is so incompetent he can't order a leg I found on their website in 2 minutes. Now I'm supposedly waiting on the General Manager to call me.
Update- 24 hrs after the General Manager was supposed to contact me I still haven't heard from them.

Although the Waycross location is closest to the house and the staff are fantastic, the selection inventory leaves a lot to be desired. More than once. I've had to leave Waycross and drive to Douglas to this location to get what I needed.
The staff here are incredible. They really are. He couldn't ask for more helpful folks.
Do I stop going to my local Lowe's and start coming here straight away?🤔 I'm honestly starting to seriously consider it even with the price of fuel and the fact that I lose 2 hours driving backwards and forwards, I think it will be more efficient.

Do not, again, I say do not trust their computer stock count! There were supposedly 2 of the items ordered online in stock at 10:30 AM and again at 5 PM when we drove over an hour to get to that store. It took them over 30 minutes to finally let us know they did not have any of the items in stock! It was then explained to us that the person that does the online purchasing doesn't work Thursday and Friday, and that's why I was not informed that my item was not available when we got there. Of course, I just assumed it would be there and ready with.
6 hours in between ordering and arrival time. That was my error for not calling to confirm always well.
The only reason why that store is getting three stars is that the young ladies who were taking care of us were very nice and professional.
The moral of the story is to call the store. Make sure somebody does hands-on stock check and put your name on the item to be purchased before you go to pick it up!

If I didn't have to go to this store I wouldn't! What happened to all the good people who when they saw you looking for something asked right away if there's something they can help you with? This new generation see you and look away immediately unless you ask them a question! You can almost hear the ugh under their breath if you do, ask them something. If you can find anyone working in that department! I personally have found items in the wrong place, Items mixed in the wrong bins, and I guess Lowe's has made such drastic cutbacks (like no more delivering lumber or other large orders) that they no longer provide a marker to write on the bag of washers or bolts what you have. Nope! Instead, we have to wait while the big ole blue binder comes out, so the 17 year old cashier who acts as if she's never seen one before has to literally match the item with the picture! Physically lay it on the page but didn't know the difference between galvanized, stainless steel or just a plain old fender washer. With the exception, one lady from my generation who knew exactly where the under the counter lights were and exactly what I was talking about, and the fact your happiest employees are in the mezzanine giving out bugs of chips and bottled water doesn't soften the frustrations your customers feel. This Lowe's is extremely lucky. there's not a Home Depot store here "yet" because they would or will see a huge drop in sales.

The employees at the Douglas location have no clue what they are doing. I wanted to order a freezer that they had IN STOCK at the store. I needed one that was available for immediate pickup. I called and asked if they had a specific freezer in stock & they told me YES. I went online and paid for this freezer since they said they had it in stock. The next day when I called to pick up the freezer, a different guy told me that they would not have it for another week, which defeated the whole purpose of ordering one that they had in stock (like I was told). I had to call three times to get anyone to answer the phone. They pick up the phone & immediately place it on hold without saying anything. I was put on hold by this same associate (he said he'd be right back) and after 20 minutes on hold I hung up.
I understand that people get busy and mistakes are made... We are human. But it's literally EVERY TIME I shop at this location. If it's not one thing, it's another. They either need to hire more staff or train the ones they have better.

We bought a Christmas tree from here. The outside cashier called for someone to help with the tree but no one showed up. I had to personally go in the store and grab management to get help with wrapping and clipping the tree. Management sent someone by the way. I felt like management would do it themselves but oddly enough just told me to go back to the area and they would have someone there soon. It wasn’t busy at all.

The experience at this location is below the Lowes standard. I’m working on a kitchen upgrade and entire home reflooring project and it has been very time consuming and nerve racking. The incorrect product was ordered, the measurements were incorrect, and now we having to place another order for the hallways. The direction was simply to replace all carpeted areas.

We try our best not to go to this location. The staff is beyond rude, almost all of them. They act like you are the biggest inconvenience to their day every time I go here. If they had better staff It would be far more convenient for me to get more things here, but until that happens I will go out of my way to shop elsewhere.
