The Chicken Fried Chicken was sodium overload, my daughter couldn’t eat it.

I had pancakes - like warm with ICE COLD syrup! I guess they’re out of the usual bottles?!

We will place a pause on visiting this location. I hope management is paying attention. We left hungry!!

If I could give less than a star I would. This is sadly not my first bad experience at this location but it will be my last. The restaurant itself was cold, like Waffle House cold! They had a nice fire built but they weren’t seating anyone even near it. I ordered the new steak and shrimp combo off the menu. The waitress came back about 15 minutes after I ordered to say due to me ordering steak our meal would be “delayed”. I’m fine with that, I ordered a well done steak and I don’t mind waiting for it to be cooked to my liking. An hour goes by, she’s not brought out biscuits or cornbread yet. I finally ask if I can at least get those brought to the table and she brings a basket with 2 biscuits and 1 cornbread muffin for 2 people, no butter, no jelly. I ask about our food because again it had been well over an hour by then. 2 other tables had seated, been served and were now leaving by the time we finally got our food. My steak was paper thin, no flavor and thrown on the plate with a handful of fried okra. No shrimp in sight so I had to ask for that then wait another 10mins for it to arrive. I asked to speak to the manager who advised my meal was so delayed because they had to thaw the steaks. No apologies, other than that. I pointed out that the restaurant wasn’t even busy. Again no apologies, just staring at me like “okay and” so I then informed him that I would not be paying for this “meal” and asked if he could handle that or did I need to contact corporate, to which he responded with I’ll handle that, enjoy your “meal” and walked off. Our waitress who agreed the restaurant wasn’t having many issues but she could not change them alone seemed apologetic at our table but what they fail to know or don’t care is you can see the 10 employees gathered in the kitchen talking and acting like I had the AUDACITY to complain. Yes, your customer is the reason your service is HORRIBLE! Anyway I won’t be back and I’ll make sure no one I know or come in contact with visits THIS location again.

This place is one of my faves to shop for Christmas decorations to cuddly hats and gloves sets. This location the staff was extra helpful in the store area and our waitress Kayla was outstanding! I gave 4 stars because the chicken and dumplings were dry and pasty, but other than that we enjoyed our visit!

Our server was sweet but I'm 90% sure she forgot to put in our order as other tables sat after us received their food first. We waited an hour and a half for food and recieved our appetizers at the same time as our food and some of the food wasn't even hot. Definitely wasn't what I expected for dinner.

Always a great place for pancakes BUT I just wish they had soft butter when they bring them to the table 🤦🏽‍♀️ They also only had 1 side dark and the other side was light. They were gummy and not very good

The last 3 times iv come to this Douglasville store it's been horible.food has come out cold and always over cooks my eggs. Servers should always check they order before giving to the customer. Clearly the eggs were well done and still gave to me.
Today wad told be 16 to 20 min 28 minutes later I check with the host. She tells me she can't help it dont know how much longer and waiting for servers to show up! Won't be back

So disappointed. Came to douglasville to be with son for Christmas. Decided to pre order holiday meal. Had an email must pickup on time. Husband and son waited 40 minutes, along with others, to get their food until husband decided to request to speak to manager.
Terrible service and preparation for this service.
No compensation, just a small apology.
They closed at 2 which is great for employees.
Won't plan this again
Oh And today cooking my mac n cheese was noodles only with no cheese. The ham was completely frozen so plan to defrost.
I think this store was not at all prepared. Not like we ordered through a drive thru. We ordered 3 days ahead

I ordered food on the 22nd to be picked up the 24th at 1200. I get there at 1230 and it was not ready telling me they are busy. Well the way I look at it is they had 2 days to plan to have it ready. I can promise that it will be the last time I do anything like this again with this restaurant.

They were out of country fried turkey and 4 different popular vegetables. They had told us that they have the turkey but when I got there they said they were out. I was very disappointed coz I get that every Thanksgiving holiday week. They know it's a popular meal, so why not order a bunch of it! Doesn't make sense to me.

The staff was perfect in every way. From the hostess to the waitress all went well. I used the app to pay and then purchased 2 Christmas gifts for my nosey 6 year old and the cashier helped me to wrap them both in some brown generic paper just so he couldn’t see the gift 🎁. We never got to eat. We used the app so we could be seated as soon as we got to the restaurant. We were seated promptly but sat there forever until a waitress finally came by and said she would be with us shortly. We sat there a bit longer and decided to leave. It was not very busy and there were many people standing around everywhere so I’m not sure what the issue was.

A party of 3 and we were seated in the back corner. We waited for 15 minutes before we had to ask if someone could wait on us. We ordered, got our food and started eating. My husband pulled off over half of his chicken that was nothing but crust. I had the chicken dumplings with maybe 1/2 of chicken breast and dumplings that were clumped together and uncooked. Pinto beans were not cooked. We kept having to ask whomever would walk by if we could get help. The entire experience was terrible. We shouldn't have to call for a manager in an establishment that has been in operation for so long. This all happened on Wednesday November 27th around 12:15pm. It will be a long time before we will be back if at all.

We arrived for dinner by 5:30pm. They were out of Rainbow trout, macaroni and cheese. Our food was overcooked and came out an hour after we ordered. Other patrons around us were seated after us and received their food in a timely manner. Our Server Jodi did the best she could. I believe the kitchen was th problem. Maybe is just me, I believe Cracker Barrel is going down hill as far as there help, service, and quality of food. Of course it's been a few years since I took my family here. Our family of 5 came in for dinner. Getting our drinks and placing our order was prompt. However, we had to wait a significant time for our dinner to come out. No bread was provided. 2 people ordered the meatloaf. It was raw in the middle. We mentioned it to the waitress. She agreed but did not offer to take it back to the kitchen. Instead she asked 1 person if they wanted more mac n cheese. No offer to adjust the bill or make it right. The mashed potatoes were cold. It seemed that most of the food was plated too early or was not kept warm properly before all of our food was brought out. It was a very poor experience and for the price we paid no value or quality. It pains me to write this review as I've always been a fan of Cracker Barrel.

The past two times that my family have come here they have had an issue with their grill. I understand having patience in the food industry when you choose eating out instead of cooking yourself BUT communication with the customers is always key if you know there is going to be over an hour wait for your food then you should be honest and let the customers know therefore should they choose to stay then that is on them and they were given the choice don't wait until someone decides to question whats taking so long for you to then tell them also side note it's tacky as hell to had a customer a warm bottle of champagne for them to pour themselves to make their mimosa. NEVER AGAIN.. LESSON LEARNED.

Not great today! We were hopeful because last time we came it was a pretty decent experience...but this time was anything but with the exception of the kind, gracious demeanor of our server,Austin. We knew he cared and he was trying but we waited almost an hour for food after we were seated. When the food came it ranged from cold to over cooked. CB used to be a staple in our rotation, but it has gotten very hit or miss ( more miss than hit). I'm sure we'll give it another try at some point but for now we'll find other places to eat. Just not worth the trouble.

The servers are great but the time to get food has gotten too much. Apparently, they need more cooks. This is happening at many Craker Barrels that we have visited lately however not just this location. Go back to the company you were that made you a great place to visit. Bring back giving us cornbread or biscuits while having to wait on our food for so long (and sorghum syrup). Why do so many companies think they have to take away what made you great in the beginning?

Food ( Ribs, $19.99) horrible, dried out and burnt. Country fried steak, dried out. Had a salad, what happened to the salads? Awful, used to have shredded cheese and bacon bits, crisp lettuce, etc. This was chunks of white old lettuce, a few cherry tomatoes, a few slices of cukes. It was 3pm, almost empty, service was extremely slow, and as usual they never bring the biscuits out until the meal.
For $50 I'll just go to Texas Roadhouse, never had a bad meal there, service always great at Texas roadhouse, too

My family and I were in this Douglasville location on Saturday and while we were waiting on our food I noticed the short blond haired black lady waitress was cleaning a table off next to us. She was eating food off the customers plate that had just left. It was crowded when we left so I didn’t say anything to the manager about it. I hesitate about going back because of this. Hopefully the management sees this review. Very poor management at this location. They were out of mashed potatoes the time before this visit. Please do better. I placed an order for a Sunday breakfast because I didn’t feel like cooking.

I ordered French toast, eggs, sausage, and a side of pancakes. Everything was just okay. My pancakes didn’t taste as good as previous visits and my French toast looked more like buttered bread with not much brown to them. I will try again and update my review if my next encounter is better.

Poor service from start to finish . We arrived and were seated promptly . Thats the only plus for service . Our arrival time was around 10:20 am. We asked for the breakfast menus and Our server looked at the clock as if , serving breakfast was a burden . She took our order and never returned again . It was infuriating . She overlooked our table several times , never came to apologize for the delay . After 40+ minutes of waiting we gained the attention of a hostess and we paid for drinks we order . We never received our food at all . No updates and several other tables were waiting just as long as we were . A visibly frustrated dining room . After our original server returned , her response to us MY BAD. Just poor customer service all around and I will never return to this location ever again . Management needs to do some serious revamping .

We arrived at this location because we were in the area . It was before lunch around 10:20. So ample enough time to serve the customer what they asked for right …. WRONG‼️‼️ Our server Gloria sat us down with lunch menus , and we came for breakfast . So we asked for the breakfast menu and her response was what time is it? As if what we were asking for was a burden already . She proceeded to take our drink order and food order . All we received were the drinks and it went downhill from there . Gloria disappeared into thin air like a ghost . She barely came to check on us , never apologized for the delay , we saw her avoid our table and other tables on multiple occasions . After over 25+ minutes of waiting , we found a hostess and asked could she get the server to bring us the checks for the drinks (which we shouldn’t even had to pay for in all honesty ) . Finally our server returned and her response was MY BAD ( shrugs shoulders ) and no apology . What an unforgettable experience !!! Never returning to this location at all . Management needs to step it up or start from scratch ‼️‼️‼️‼️

I did a to-go-order, the store was not busy at all, only two items were suppose to be on my plate, when I got home 10 miles away there was only one item, not happy at all, the cashier was very nice and friendly.

Me & my family came to eat some. Good cooking . Well that didn’t go as planned . 1st problem was we waited over 5 mins before we was greeted with our waitress. Then when she finally does come to our table and we order everything at onetime . Then we set and waited another 20 mins for food that y’all already have cooked in the back . My chicken & dumplings was so cold and not done . That’s the 1st issue and then we pick up a biscuit & cornbread to realize that they are cold to. So I ask the waitress can we get some fresh ones . She said that’s all we got . They came out the hotbox. Well I thought a hotbox was to keep them hot no cold and dryer out like they been in there for days . Hard as a rock . I could go on & on with our experience. But I’m gonna end it here . Just so y’all know this place was dead . Maybe 10 tables only had family’s seating at them . Do better y’all ……

I had the misfortune of dining at Cracker Barrel recently, and it was easily one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve had in a long time. From the moment I walked in, it was clear that this place is living off its outdated reputation rather than offering any real quality or service.First, the wait time was ridiculous, despite there being several empty tables in plain sight. When we were finally seated, it took forever to get any attention from the staff. The service was shockingly slow, and the server seemed completely disinterested, as if we were an inconvenience rather than paying customers. Our server Gloria, took our dink order and never came back. After 45 minutes of waiting and not even a single refill we eventually left without getting our food, just the initial drinks. I paid for my drinks and the requested a manager from the hostess, she took my receipt and claimed she would get the manager but she came back with no manager and without my receipt. She only mentioned the manager said the drinks were on the house. I'm guessing she doesn't know they have the QR code and the pay at table option is now available. Needless to say, this was my first and LAST time coming to this location.

Had had problems with the location since the COVID restrictions. Food has always been great, but service poor to terrible. Spoken to management several times about it. Looks like they are working to improve themselves. Warren was our server tonight and did an excellent job. Very attentive without being hovering.

Server took over 10 minutes to come out, grits were cold, hash browns extra crispy and protein was like warm… they replaced the plate and brought out extra crispy turkey looking bacon and hard biscuits. Fried pickles were good. I decided not to eat and paid for pickles.

Well, it took just over 25 years but I came real close to walking out of Cracker Barrel tonight. Went in at 8 o’clock and it was 8:40 PM before they brought my meal. The restaurant was not busy. I was pushing back my chair as my waiter Emerged from the kitchen with my food. The food was good. It’s just I don’t understand why on a Thursday night with nobody in the restaurant. It took almost 45 minutes from the time I walked to get my meal.

The service was amazing. I was immediately greeted as I walked in. I had a to-go order that I placed at the counter and the retail manager not only took the order but she and her team gave me updates periodically on the status of my order and made sure that it was correct and had everything that I needed before I left. I would definitely recommend this location to others and return again.

Went here for Birthday brunch with my Mom on a Monday. We were seated quickly and ordered our food. We arrived at 1:10pm and it is 2:03pm and still have not been served our food! Waitress NEVER explained the wait until I asked. People came in after us and got served their food. I live in the area and use to come all the time! I won't be back anymore! We walked out and left! If u order your food and others get served before you and you've been waiting longer. Something is wrong!!!

I ordered food through door dash and the bag was wide open the food was cold I ordered chicken tenders they were burned, mashed potatoes were cold as if you took a baked potato and smashed it a little in the plate, dumplings same cold and very old needless to say I wasted money I won't do it again and when you ask for dip you should put it in there with silverware to go with the rock hard biscuit and cornbread

Service and atmosphere was great. I'm giving a 3 star for food bc the meatloaf was overcooked. It was decent but the top was charred and you could not taste the ketchup. I had to cut it off. Everything else was good.

I ordered my food at 9o’clock. I was told it would be ready by 9:30 which I only had an hour break. I had to have my daughter go and pick up my food, or I would have been late. She didn’t receive my food until 10:30. I didn’t get to eat my food. Smh

Is everything okay? Our server was great. 8 PM on Wednesday evening, July 24, 2024.

The Chicken Fried Chicken was sodium overload, my daughter couldn’t eat it.

I had pancakes - like warm with ICE COLD syrup! I guess they’re out of the usual bottles?!

We will place a pause on visiting this location. I hope management is paying attention. We left hungry!!

I normally love this place but a couple days ago it was awful. Almost like the whole staff was in training. The food we ordered they were out of so the replacement meals were terrible. Chicken tenders were tough and chewy then I didn’t even get the correct sides with my replacement meal. My dad ordered the same thing as me but he received a completely different replacement meal than I did but he got One of the 3 sides that he’d ordered. I’ve worked in restaurants for over 25 years and I know that we all have days where we’re not on top of our game, but normally it’s only one part of the house not the whole dang staff. It was like nobody even cared about anything .

Servers do not check their tables and only come out in 12-15min increments to deliver drinks/food. When food arrived after 65 minutes of wait time, the orders were wrong. Will not come back.
