An older black woman wearing a black shirt and a black wig checked me out today. I was appalled to see her very blatantly check each of my items to see if the clearance sticker matched the numbers on the price tag. I mean no discretion at all. She should have just accused me of stealing 🤷🏽‍♀️. Then had the audacity to think I would give her the satisfaction by signing up for a credit card. Even if I wanted it, I wouldn’t give this location or her the credit for it. I worked retail at the managerial level for 10 years before transitioning to corporate America and I hope that Marshall’s is not encouraging their staff to be this disrespectful with their LP tactics.

I will not shop at this location again because I don’t see myself being as pleasant the next time.

The lovely associate pictured asked 3 year old diabetic child if he wanted a salad for Christmas then proceeded to ask what about laundry detergent and insinuated that my minority family does not have laundry detergent. Regardless as to whether she knew my child was diabetic or not, you don’t ask an overweight person if they want a salad. Her comments were extremely insensitive and she was 100% coherent to what she was saying. Considering the fact that she looks like a recovering addict, would she have liked if I asked her if she wanted meth for Christmas?

We frequently visit this location and have always had a great experience until yesterday afternoon 4/29/24
As soonest the cashier saw us, she looked like she didn't want to help us. She was very calm but giving us a weird look as if we were returning stolen stuff because we didn't have the receipts. She said I couldn't return something because it was Christmas related stuff. I said ok and she put it to the side and continued with the rest of the things. I was returning a hoodie my husband had bought probably in February but didn't have the receipt. She saw the tag that had been cut off, made a face and called an other lady to check on it because they "don't sell hoodies at that price". The hoodie was $59.99 yes over price, it's a Braves hoodie and around the time my husband bought it they had a lot of Braves merch overpriced. Any ways the other lady came back saying we didn't buy it there, that one of the tags had a mark that theirs don't have. She didn't even had the same hoodie we were returning. Both ladies kept saying that the item was not from Marshall's. My teenage daughter was with me, she felt so uncomfortable. This ladies weren't saying it but they were insinuating we were returning something that was not from their store with one of their tags. The cashier that was "helping" us pointed out to a hoodie hanging behind the registers and said "another person returned that one that's not from here either". I got upset and asked my daughter to call her dad, he came in to the store and they kept saying that it was not from the store. My husband was very upset and told one of the ladies you can't tell me I didn't buy it here because I did. One of the ladies called another store to ask if they had hoodies at that price and they said no. The hoodie was purchased around February they didn't have any more of them. We are honest people with no need to do what they were insinuating we were doing.
Very sad and disappointing, we have met such nice people that works there that's always sweet to see and say hi when we come to the store.
Those ladies need better customer service skills.

We frequent this location quite often and have never been met with this level of unprofessionalism. The cashier made our return process very unpleasant and actually asked very loudly to a fellow associate whether Marshall’s sold Reebok apparel. The process took entirely too long and she made a show of thoroughly checking the items as if we were trying to defraud their location. None of the tags were missing and we had our receipt. My husband and I will no longer be purchasing from this store.

Manager refused to let us make a return in the store because we bought it at another marshals over an hour way when thier return policy clearly stated you may return this to any other store. The manager was rude and obviously just didn’t want to have to deal with going through the return process. Stay clear of purchasing from here.

The place is considered my GUILTY PLEASURE PALACE🤣. They have everything. I love the sales and the staff are A1. The main downfall are the isles are too close and the clearance section needs to be more present and visible.
