This is my favorite Kroger. It is nice seeing the manager of the store doing what needs to be done to have a great store. He was restocking flowers, making sure everything was perfect for Valentines. It is always a pleasant experience coming to this store even when I am having a bad day. It is always clean, and I am treated with a smile. Thank you for giving back to our community by giving our family a safe and friendly atmosphere for shopping. I am also very thankful for the gluten-free options available. I would like to see this continue to grow.

Horrible experience, I spent over $140 at this location today, just to be treated as if I did something wrong or was a criminal, because one of YOUR employees bagged an item that wasn't with my purchase. the manager (white man with a white long sleeve collar shirt) made me feel very uncomfortable and attacked. the cashier and bagger clearly need to be retrained as well. Publix may cost more but I'd rather pay more than to be treated badly somewhere that I choose i spend my money.

She was too embarrassed to realize she was in the wrong as she rang me up for 3 items even though I simply told her I wanted one item. The sad thing is she aggressively told me to get three just so she won't lose face due to her looking incompetent; mind you it was a self-checkout smh.
So I went to a seasoned worker, explained what happened, and simple problem solved. That Kroger location hires kids that can't comprehend simple math with zero maturity and rudeness to boot! Kroger management should be ashamed.

This has to be the cleanest most organized Kroger in Douglasville! I’ll drive the 5.5 miles just to shop here. I’m really impressed with their stock, selections, and the layout! They are extremely organized and well stocked with all kinds of selections to choose from. ❤️😊

I went to get gas and they did not allow anyone to pay with the attendant. They made people pay at the machine where they place a hold on your card over $100. The worker cleaning around the area said "they're working on the keypad so I can't take any orders".
Why is there technical maintenance being done during prime time 4:00PM on a Sunday?! This million dollar company doesn't have any other keypads?! All this money we give??
Then when I stand in line at customer service to talk to someone- I am blatantly ignored with workers shuffling around me. I asked if anyone was going to help me and he points at some lady and said she'll help me. She continues to work on a shopping card and walking around slowly.
When I go to Publix the services are always available and if not then they have alternatives. It is terrible customer service to be lacking and have an SOL attitude towards your customers.
I have been going to this Kroger for years and I am done. I'm going to Publix for now on because the lack of consistency in services, products, and trash customer service. Demolish this and give us a company that actually cares.

I hate getting orders from this store. They have cost me so much money. Everytime I order from this store either the produce is no good or they give the complete wrong order. You can't get any one in any department to answer the phone. A real disappointment. I'd call to complain if I could get someone to answer the phone!!!

This location was great at one point in time. Now when I do a pickup order, the order is never ready on time. You try to be understanding but to be inconvenienced constantly is frustrating. Placed an order for groceries, ended up having to buy dinner because they didn't finish my order in the allotted time slot I chose. Then I get my order and they have given me rotten food. Very infuriating. They should be ashamed

They let customers that are not doing Kroger pick up park in the Kroger pick up spots while they go shop inside. Came one day and had to wait almost 15 min to check in because all 6 spots were taken up by cars empty not a sole in the vehicle so the customers inside shopping!

Hit or miss here always! :-( Been coming here from day 1 that they opened and seen a lot of changes! Miss the good old day's....just saying!!! Granted, it was 10:44pm on a Sunday, but I had to wait a few extra minutes until the cashier finished her story with her coworkers about how different the Kroger she just transferred from was. 1 lane open and 5 self-serve....really??? Ugh. Get me in and out! I needed smokes, so I went to the only lane open that btw had smokes.

Absolutely agitating! The rest of Kroger is great, but the pharmacy is awful! I asked a question at the pharmacy to get a curt answer and they tried to give me over the counter medicine that my doctor stated wouldn’t work on my ailment. This is not the first issue I’ve had but it truly my last!

This store served the Chapel Hill area of Douglas county before Pubix was thought of. My oldest child first job was at this Kroger. A true community partner.

Don’t bother going to this Kroger . It’s horrible they never staff this place adequately. There's always only 1 self checkout area open (mind you they have 2 of them) and 1 cashier during the busiest peak hours. It’s ridiculous the lines extend to the aisles for no reason other than they manage the store poorly and/or they are too cheap to staff it appropriately. It’s disrespectful to their customers. It’s Publix for me from now on

I cannot say enough good things about the awesome customer service that Tye in the produce department provided me. I went to get a watermelon and there were none in the bin. He offered to get me one from the back and picked out the sweetest one and placed it in my basket, all with a smile. Thanks Tye for making this a great shopping experience.

If you are a person of color DO NOT SHOP HERE !!! They will have security watching you from the moment you enter the store. They wear gray shirts and black pants to try and blend in but they follow you around everywhere…and when you are Checking out they will pretend to buy something usually something at the register like candy or a drink and no other groceries or they are on the phone pretending to be casual …sadly they are EXTREMELY obvious. Very disappointed that this has happened so many times that I can point them out .I can’t shop in peace. I just want to get groceries and go home without the the AP Team making me feel like I’m a criminal!!!

I usually go to a different pharmacy but decided to try this one because it was close by, that was my first mistake. I went by at 7:00pm to drop off my prescription, with no expectation for them to fill my prescription at all seeing that they close at 8pm. Before I could even open my mouth to say what I was there for I was greeted by this old lady with a jagged blonde wig saying “ we ain’t gone fill no prescription tonight” not one hello how are you in sight! But I ignored that and said, yes mam I understand, I just wanted to drop it off. Someone came and took my phone number and said I would be called when it was ready. No one asked for my insurance info or anything. So It’s now 11:00 and I haven’t even received a call, so I reach out. And the rudeness continues, I give my information and she states I’m not even in the system, I inform her that I dropped it off last night. And she comes back and says “well who do you have insurance with ” I respond, and she responds in a nasty tone “well do you have the information because I don’t have anything” I kindly let her know that no one asked me for my insurance information and she cuts me off and says, “okay, what is it” not asking for specific Info because I don’t have a clue what I for she needs. I kindly say I want to take my prescription elsewhere at this point. I refuse to patronize anywhere that people are rude and nasty. And unprovoked at that. Based on their previous reviews. They need a whole new team!

The pickup lane is in the perfect spot as long as cars that are not picking up are not parked there. The employees are so friendly and helpful!

Love My Kroger at Chapel Hill. I highly recommend this store. Always clean and everything is well stocked. If they don't have a product on the shelf just ask a member of management and they will do everything to help accommodate you in finding the product..😁😁

Lately, people have been straight up just parking in the grocery pickup spots. Thanks, useless old white dudes.
Normally one of my favorite Krogers to shop at, but recently shelves have been held empty in favor of large displays. It is beyond infuriating to see something in the app with plenty in stock at the store and be unable to find it because it's in a pile somewhere.

Love my local Kroger, in there at least 2 dys a wk for something. It's usually crowded on wkends so I shop during the week. Great mk down on ground bison & lamb sometimes..Need to update the discounts boxes more..put more stuff in there for us!! Employees have always been helpful & friendly..great neighborhood store!

WOW! What happened to this store? There were boxes and racks down every isle, making it impossible for 2 people to go up and down the isle at the same time. The new layout makes it impossible to find anything. With so much stock, everywhere, the store looks filthy. It looks just like the inside of the filthy Dollar General down the road. The employees were unfriendly and clearly miserable in their job. This has to be one of the busiest stores in Douglasville, yet they only have one human cashier. I HATE what they've done to this store! I won"t be going back. I'll be going to Publix where the store is clean and the employees are always friendly and helpful.

My sweet tooth got the best of me tonight and I didn't know what I wanted. I finally decided on some doughnuts from the deli and a carton of milk. Before I could bag my groceries after checking out, an associate ran up to my self-checkout register and checked the screen. He then asked me if I rang up "all that stuff" (2 items). I said yes and asked him if he wanted to see the receipt. There was no apology after everything was shown to be rang up and paid for and there was not much of an explanation, either. I didn't escalate the incident, but it was very embarrassing and I'm highly offended. Good thing there are other stores in close proximity.

I really like this Kroger as it is definitely a major improvement from the one on highway 5 we started going to this one because they always have the sushi that I want they tend to have the breads were looking for that other places don't carry they have some of the other supplies that I use for baking or cooking that other places don't have sometimes the prices are not that great even with the sales but for the most part we do tend to utilize this store quite a bit.

Worst customer service experience, do not recommend, rude, obnoxious, would not recommend the pick up option at all as most of the produce was damaged, also packaging was damaged on a lot of pantry items.
Basically looks like someone who does not care about their job at all.

Never really had an issue with the store itself, but today the Gas Attendent a older man was very rude and seemed bothered to be asked for help. As I walked up to pay for gas, I was having trouble with paying at the pump, otherwise I certainly would not have bothered him. After seeing him eye me as I walked up to the station, noticed it took him a few minutes to actually how up at the window. Then when I tried to explain my issue he seemed irritated. Extremely poor customer service. I started to go back and express my frustration with his attitude, but wasn't in the mood to tarnish my mood.

Specifically reviewing the pharmacy…

I haven’t had an unpleasant experience in this store before today when one of the pharmacy techs told me to “take it up with the state” when I had a complaint about a prescription I had just come in to pickup. I called for clarification which turned into a complaint, then went back to the pharmacy. It was right before the pharmacy break at 1pm and wanted to know who I could speak to about my complaint - the pharmacist, a manager, the store manager, whomever to have my issue addressed properly and compensate me for their missteps in issuing one of my prescriptions. That’s when the rude tech basically told me to go talk to the folks who make the prescription drug laws in the state of Georgia - this very dismissive and gave “oh, we’ll…” vibes. Just terrible. Since the pharmacy was closing for break, I told them I’d be back. I came back around 2:10pm and was assisted by Sonam. The same rude and aggressive tech came all the way over to the cpu/register where we were to over-talk me as I spoke to Sonam to let her know why I had returned for the 3rd time today. When the tech started to get a little loud, I addressed the tech to let her know that I was not speaking to her and that she could move along. Since all of the techs weren’t wearing their name tags, I can’t tell you what her name is. I can tell you however, she is very unprofessional and confrontational. I was surprised (not really though) that no other team member addressed this behavior including who I assume was the pharmacist on duty, Heather. No one batted an eye and this makes me feel like this is “normal” behavior for her and that’s terrible especially in a customer service driven industry. There was another tech that I spoke to over the phone before I came back to the store the first time who also briefly spoke to Sonam as I explained my issues to her. She didn’t have her name tag on so I can give her her flowers properly, but she is ALWAYS very professional and attentive when I come to the pharmacy just like she was today. Even the initial tech was professional, she just skipped a couple steps at checkout with me.

I am appreciative of the service I receive from the entire Kroger team as always because this is “my” Kroger. I hope that the customer service from that particular tech improves soon - I suggest a refresher course in customer engagement focusing on conflict resolution.

This store does not focus on customers with accessibility needs. They focus instead on pick up customers. There are barely any handicap spots anymore, electric brochure and pick up customers have just been given everything. What about the people who go in your store and pick up the extra items they didn’t select online? The customers who may decide to pick up flowers after seeing some upfront? This all access pass just for customers who pick up is ridiculous.

This store has the nastiest restroom I’ve ever seen. Tissue & paper on the floor. Toilets dirty. No tissue & paper towels to use. I reported it to an employee & she said they had just opened. That’s not an excuse. This is a public store with public restrooms and it should at least stay stocked with tissue and paper towels. Someone should clean the restroom every night before the store closes so when customers shop early in the morning they won’t have to deal with this.

This Kroger usually has pretty good deals on large cuts of meat. I wish the staff were more friendly and that the stores upkeep was maintained better. I'm sure there's a staff shortage though.

I'm new to the area and I thought Kroger was supposed to be a good grocery store. But this one kinda sucks. It's poorly managed. There's not enough cashiers during the peak hours in spite of several isles where they could fit. Sometimes an associate leaves the self-checkout area for 10 mins and if you buy a wine bottle you just have to stand there until they decide to return. Although cordial, the staff isn't particularly helpful. I actually get better attention and help from Food Depot 10-mins down the street. (not to mention saving 25-50%). Too often I've gone to this Kroger needing something in particular that is pretty standard in grocery stores, and they don't even carry it in stock. I'm not a fan of this Kroger. I can buy overpriced food at Publix a mile away.

I have been meaning to right this review, but time just got away from me. Kenneth, in the deli department, is the epitome of good customer service. I explained that I was placing an order for Chapel Hill HS boy's basketball team. He took his time and explained the options that was available for sandwich trays and was kind and patient. If everyone's customer is like Kenneth, especially these days on time, this world would be a little bit better. It cost nothing to be kind.

Kroger Pharmacy is normally okay. My doctors office called in my prescription on 3/17/21. I was told it would be ready by the evening, i returned & it still was not ready. I returned the next day it was not ready & i was told it waa due to the covid stuff they were doing. I explained to the lady, i have had a stroke & i need my blood pressure pills. She told me to come back by the evening & it would be ready. I came back & only one blood pressure pill was ready. They said they have to order it. My Spironolactone is still not ready & that is the main b/p i need. I called left a message no one has returned my call. I said send my prescription to another Kroger so i can receive my medication. Kroger was closer on my way home, i will drive to Publix at least you can reach them on the phone this is ridiculous, thank God my doctor gave me some samples. If you are not just refilling a prescription good luck. The assistants are nice.

Let start by saying most of the staff great very friendly and helpful. A plus Cashiers, Specially the lady with red hair she’s awesome!

There needs to be a Register open all the time instead of the self check out only it is real Inconvenient when you have a whole cart full Of groceries and have to deal with the limited space, self check out is great if you only have a few items. I went in tonight got a whole cart full of Groceries went to check out and it was self checkout only. I ask the lady there was running them could they open Regular register. She said no! So I left the cart and walked out. So on top of having to put back a buggy full of stuff they lost a sell and a loyal customer!! I went to the Publix for the first time let’s just say I will not be returning to Kroger!!!

With all that is going on, they have quit cleaning the shopping carts!! They are providing dried out wipes that are barely moist at best.
Otherwise it is a pretty good Kroger but this is not comforting!
You would think Kroger would put forth a little effort to try to keep customers as safe as possible and keep risk down as best they can.

01/05/21 Update... They stepped up to the plate a month or so ago and are now providing useable wipes.

Good home cooked meals available with meat and 2 sides. Meat and sides vary. You pay by the pound so it can get expensive. They also have sub sandwiches and rotisserie chickens as you would expect

I love this store and all of the staff, Everyone is always so friendly and helpful Krystina in self checkout is always very helpful and very polite every time I come through self checkout! Best Location in Douglasville.

I love this location! The staff is always so kind, selection as well stock is always on point, clean, they have a Starbucks inside, etc! I use to shop at Kroger on hwy 5 not knowing of this location as this location is much farther away from where I live but an associate at the hwy 5 Kroger named Tiosha Adams who decided to add another and myself to her list of mistreating customers that are on review. That being said as well while on the subject it's taken all in is to continue to shopping at Kroger in itself being corporate did nothing on the matter, the managers I addressed did nothing and she continues to work there! Thank God for this location as I went there same day and with the excellent customer service and overall store, I have been going here almost a year now. If there was to be any negatives I would say they need more attention to the bathroom, change the music because it is horrible and bigger stock of Perdue chicken as not everyone wants to eat Kroger Brand! I have food allergies and can't eat Kroger Brand foods...but overall I love this location, Kroger as in corporate needs to go back to free every Friday not every other, have more coupons on other foods as not everyone wants store brand or can have store brand and stop raising prices....a good .50 raise up on half of what I buy...if I'm going to pay that I'll go to Publix! If you haven't visited this location and are one who favors Kroger this is the best location I have come across out of 7 locations since being in GA and I absolutely recommend giving it a try!

I really like this kroger. The people are nice they have a huge organic healthy section. It has an asian food bar/section that taste great. (Its sushi .and to-go bowls like chicken rice and veggies thats warm). They always have my lactaid milk when most krogers are all out. Plus the Starbucks in this kroger is really good! I usually dont drink coffee but i had gift cards and tried their mango dragon fruit drink and its sooo refreshing. Plus they have clerance items like bread pasteries and veggies and if you go to the back there is a whole wall of clerance stuff by the restrooms. And the bathrooms are clean so overall thumbs up kroger! Also the meat prices are okay and the digital coupons are great
