Overall a good Starbucks location! Staff is always friendly and quick with the orders. However, the space isn’t the best. It’s a very busy location being right by the train station and I expect it to be crowded but the way the store is set up, when you walk in the space immediately feels cramped and there’s always a traffic jam of people trying to come in, come out, get in line, or wait for their drink. Would love to see this space revamped a bit.

Here’s a great update. I had to now just stand in line while the cashier discussed plumbing within the building with some guy. Line piling up and this dude just keeps talking ignoring people asking if there is another register. So bad.

Unfortunately same story as most places these days. Crappy management can’t keep things in stock well. Doesn’t care that it’s not in stock. I actually was told. Oh I ordered it it will be here in two days. That does me zero good today. Such a silly answer.

But this is all poor management. There’s more details there but not worth it. Also items actually available don’t match website. Again just poorly run all the way around.

This Starbucks has good employees - often my son and I will walk our dog into downtown DG and before heading home I'll give him money to go into Starbucks to get a snack and a drink before we head home while I stay outside with the dog - we've been doing it for years and the employees have always been so helpful - my son always leaves there feeling quite grown up. The establishment itself is clean and the orders are always correct.

I think Starbucks is great but they really need to have some consistency when it comes to personal cups. I go there around 7:15am just about every day and ask them if they can just serve me my drink in my personal cup and if I go there 5 days a week I'll get five different reasons why they can't or can serve the personal cup. It's bizzare. I don't have any problems with the actual products but I just wish they would either say "Yes we can serve your drink in your cup" or "No we cant because of....covid?" It's just very inconsistent. You still get a five star rating but whats the deal with this?

Ordered two iced americanos, was told $7.57 and provided $12.57 so as to receive a $5 bill as change. I was handed $4 and told the barista Breanna the change should be $5 and she said “no it’s $4” I wasn’t going to make a stink and just drove away… here’s an idea, don’t rely on doing math in your head you’re clearly not capable of… oddly enough the total for the same drinks today was $7.87 which leads me to believe the reason ingot improper change the other day because the register wasn’t used to calculate it for her… hmmm

Great coffee spot but the seating is sometimes a hit or miss. It’s a great place to run in for a drink while hopping off the train. The employees are generally nice. I love using the app for rewards and ordering ahead of time so that the drink is ready when I come in.

I had this girl come to the window and I wanted to try something new . I got the Gr butterscotch Frappe and it was amazing ! This girl was really nice . She complemented my moms hair and had a little small talk which was really nice of her it really made my mom happy . She asked for napkins more small talk and was smiling the whole time ! The atmosphere in this location is a little hostile. The one worker Kaite was very unpleasant. She was telling in front of customers at another worker because they were short handed. These are things that never be said in front of customers. Also the drinks they made were par to other locations.

Not my favorite choice for coffee in Downers Grove but it’s decent if you have to catch a train on this side of the tracks. The big table is good for going with a group, but other than that there is pretty limited room. It’s in a great location, right across the tracks so it’s perfectly for grabbing coffee before catching the train.

Made my drink very well, left feeling awkward. Both baristas we're very cold and sterile.... Was there October 28th 2018 around 1: 30.... So ladies you know who you are, just know I felt your "You don't belong here" vibes loud and clear.
