I went to pick up some peeled garlic and cucumbers, the cucumbers were visible damaged and every packet of peeled garlic had significant amounts of mold. Sales prices often don't go through at check out, nor do clearance items or coupons. The only helpful and freindly staff member seems to be the kindly older lady, she's the only person who has an abundance of patience and often seems to be left there alone, doing everyone else's work. You need to hire more staff like her, and perhaps rethink some of your management. And pay that older lady better, she deserves it. She looks very stressed and yet never fails to be friendly and kind.

I really wish this store would take health and safety standards more seriously as well. After multiple incidences of food poisoning in my household from the deli meals here, I'm concerned about my housemates safety as they seem to continue to shop there for their lunches. The most concerning thing about all of this, this is one of the better Jewel in the area.

Most everything I need with friendly staff. 95% of my shopping is done here quickly and with confidence. The only issue I have run across is probably not with this store, but more likely a corprorate discision. About every 5 years, just when you have all the isles and inventory set in your mind, they rearrange EVERYTHING. I'm sure that's to get you to wander around aimlessly in the hopes you'll catch glimpse of something new to buy on impulse... It takes several years to learn the new layout.... but still a great store.

Overall fairly clean jewel. Bakery is eh. I will say I have seen some items have sneaky prices. Such as weighed products that used to be $9.99 a lb, upped in price, but reduced in weight to keep the same price, but made no attempt to clearly show the weight on the package, instead it was sneakily written on the back. I pay attention to detail so I luckily avoided the purchase, but I'm sure others could have fallen for the scam.

The store was clean, there were multiple registers open as well as self checkout, and the shelves were well stocked. I love the variety of products I can find at Jewel - it's one of the better area grocery stores for finding relatively obscure items. The prices are overall higher compared to other area grocery stores.

This Jewel Sucks!!!!! Chicken looks sick and dry. I asked the young lady that was on her phone how long for fresh chicken, she says in about an hour. Are you kidding me. The right answer was to say how much do you need and make my Chicken. This is the third time this has happened to me. I won’t ever spend my money at this location ever again.

I had a great experience last week thanks to Donnell in the floral department. I was in a pinch for time and really wanted to surprise some loved ones with balloons! The store didn’t have any premade balloons for people to buy so I had to resort to asking for someone to fill them up for me on the spot. The front end staff was very attentive and paged someone as soon as they saw me waiting at the counter for help. Donnell came promptly and maintained a positive attitude despite needing to inflate several complex balloons I chose out. I am impressed with the staff at this Jewel and will definitely return.

I just shopped here today. I was totally scammed at checkout. I did not get any of the clipped coupon prices although I entered my phone number AND received an email receipt. I got home and realized I paid full price for Cuties, asparagus, etc. Be warned. I guess you have to stand there and analyze everything. The checkout man even said my number went through. I wonder how many other people have been scammed? I would return, but I live downtown.

Do not shop this store. The employee morale is low as it reflects the managements treatment of its workforce.

Kroger bought out Albertsons creating another mega food corporation that only cares about the bottom line. In that case, there are less expensive options which can will go to and spend my hard earned money.

I detest other such companies. But since this store treats it’s employees and customers poorly. I will no longer go here.

Also word of advice for Albertsons HQ. The daytime store manager didn’t seem to care when I approached mentioning the temperature abuse of their fish and frozen foods

The staff here is extremely rude. I regularly come in to do instacart And i've noticed many Many times then being rude to me or others. But today they screwed up My order, I had 2 different ones from instacart.
Every time I try to give instructions The cashier would talk over me and be like. Yeah, yeah, we got it, we got it. And they were clearly backing it wrong so I was continually helping them bag at every time. I got the reaction as if I was doing something rude to the point. The cashier ruby said do you want a bag?
It turns out after I dropped my second order off. I realized they put stuff in the wrong bag so I had to go back.

This particular Jewel location has the best deli and bakery around. They have stuff at this location that other Jewels don't, like an extended greeting card and gift wrap selection, a bigger frozen foods department and a way nicer dairy selection.
I've had issues with other Jewel locations, the one closest to me in particular, having UNRELIABLE FREEZERS and sometimes warm cheese! NOT THIS LOCATION!!! When I need to buy a bunch of cold and frozen foods, I make the extra trip to go to the Saratoga Jewel. Excellent and reliable!!

Jewel's customer service is usually stellar. My plan was to get a floral arrangement for an anniversary. Since the floral department was gone for the day I was told there was no one to help wrap it up. I did purchase a bundle of roses and arranged them at home.

My daughter and I stopped in because we had an errand to run in the area. We don’t live out there so it was our first time. I wanted to leave a review because everyone was so friendly and helpful. They smiled and said hello, from the maintenance to the deli and cashiers. My daughter asked the pharm tech where the bathroom was and he was helpful with a smile. Sometimes people act like you’re bothering them or have an attitude when you ask for things like that in stores. It was a really warm experience. Everything was nice, clean and well stocked as well. Great store!

They never have anything in stock. You would have to buy whatever is available. Going through the self-checkout area is pretty much an uncomfortable experience. The staff who monitors self-checkout lanes thinks that you are stealing. There would be many others checking out in their lanes, but because of the way you look brings out the stereotypes in all of us. Do I have to stand in a certain position or at least look a certain way to buy food at this store? Better training for better customer service!

I went in earlier this week to shop for an extremely large Instacart order and I had a great experience. This was the first time I had ever stepped into this Jewel so I was a bit nervous. From the beginning, produce employees were available and ready to help. The deli provided the fastest service I have ever received (deli area was NOT empty). While shopping, two more employees were super helpful. The store was also very clean. When I was done, I had to carts full. The cashier and bagger made the process of checking out seamless and easy. I loved that this store was staffed appropriately from employees on the floor to the front end. Last but not least, a huge shootout to Jonathan at the front end! He helped take out my groceries and assisted with loading the heavy stuff in my trunk when he did not have to. We had a great short conversation as he we loaded up my car and he gave me amazing advice to pass along to my son who I mentioned starts high school next year. He really did brighten up my day! This experience literally cut my trip in half which resulted in a very happy customer.

WORST PHARMACY EXPERIENCE EVER!
I came in with a prescription that was on my phone, person who took me, a muslim woman said it had to be faxed over by my doctor. Not a problem. But when i asked for the fax number they refused to give it to me.
Said my dr had to call. So i called my drs office and they said just let me speak with them over phone. Workers in pharmacy refused to speak to my doctor and refused to
Give me fax number… its legit just a number. Guy who was white and had blonde hair laughed at me like i was being the ridiculous one. I left, my dr said shes never had a problem with a jewel giving out fax numbers.

I called another jewel, 4 E Ogden and there was NO PROBLEM with them giving me fax number!
This jewel is ridiculous. Need a prescription? Go to the jewel in Westmont cuz these workers here are ridiculous.
