This Binny’s consistently has a friendly, helpful staff; and the store is well kept and very clean and organized.

I wish they kept Braulio —the Italian Amaro on hand—like many of the nearby Binny’s, but overall their selection is far above average.

I will start purchasing Braulio at this location if they start carrying it, which will get me in the door far more at this location. I know you can order it at the desk and then pick it up a different day.

They have a great rare spirits room like many of the Binny’s.

This place is absolutely glorious. I only wish I lived in Illinois, just to be able to visit this place. Tom-the spirits consultant-was absolutely amazing in turning me on to a few new spirits that I had never tasted before... What other liquor store has a TASTING CABINET!!!

Wow I've never seen such a big selection and variety of alcohol. There's just something so wonderful about walking in and being like maybe I wanna try this whiskey or that bourbon and you ask and they have it. They have a fun selection of drinks that I've never seen anywhere else and many mixed and simple beverages like alcoholic coffee or lemonade that have a good taste.

Been here a few times to purchase gifts for client's. This store has everything u can possibly think of. Wines, tequilas IPAs..

The selection of drinks is incredible but the cashiers at this location are very rude. Just today, I went in and there weren’t any other people in line so it’s not like they were very stressed or anything. I went to a cashier that was an older looking woman and right after I set my drinks down and was reaching for my wallet, she asked to see my ID in a very forceful tone. I know it’s Binny’s policy to ask all customers for ID so I was going to show it anyways. Then when I got it out, I showed it in the wallet and asked if it was okay like this. She said “I need you to take it out!” in a forceful way. No “please” and she had this smile like she knew she was being rude to me. Then, at the end, she didn’t wrap my bottle in one of those green protectors that they usually wrap the bottles in.

I’m going to go out of my way to go to different Binny’s locations from here on out.

Customer service complaint

I checked on line for a product, the app specified the Downers Grove location had some in stock. The manager stated they didn’t have any in stock and that they tell customers to call the store directly to determine if a product is available. He continued to explain that the web site is inaccurate.

The issues:
The manager applied a curt tone during the dialogue when explaining that the burden of responsibility is on the consumer to determine availability. He went on to explain they tell customers to call the store and not trust the web site.

The manager clearly identified a deficiency in their system yet made no allusion to correcting it. If this represents the stance the company carries, why bother posting availability at all? Perhaps instead:
• make a statement like “call store for availability”
• make sales calls over the phone

Or… maintain inventory in real-time rather than rebuking a customer for thinking they can trust what the company publishes.

I love the store itself but prefer the service at Malloy’s.

My husband is a whiskey lover and likes to stop at Binny’s when we’re in the area. This time was really odd. He was in the store less than ten minutes but the staff must have thought he was planning to steal as they had the security guard come and make small talk with him while he browsed. I thought the whole appeal of Binny’s was having a good selection specialty liquor to browse through. If you’re unsettled that someone didn’t come in, grab a 12 pack, and leave, then market yourself as a typical liquor store. If you’re in the area - Malloy’s is much friendlier and has a better selection.

Best place to buy alcohol. We can find many good deal. I bought chivas regal 12 year old 1.75Ltr at 60 $ which is cheaper than anywhere and in airport stores.

Always have a good experience here. The woman with short dark hair checking me out was very nice and signed me up for their rewards program. I made a big purchase and got a good amount of shooters that were bagged separately. I walked out the door completely forgetting about the shooters but the woman that rang me up came running outside and handed them to me. Very grateful! Thank you!
