First day of the new menu. We were all excited to go to red lobster for the Monday special and it wasn't available today. We were very disappointed. The alternative food we were ordered was fine but we really wanted the Monday special which is now on Thursday. We ordered the shrimp scampi, grilled fish combo with a baked potato. Walt's shrimp special with mashed potatoes. You are only getting one side dish. We ordered ice tea. The server was very good, pleasant and efficient. Nothing special and expensive for what we got. The food was fresh and hot. We were able to get a free refill on the biscuits which everyone knows are awesome at red lobster. The restaurant was a little dated. It wasn't busy so seating wasn't an issue. We went at 12:30 during the lunch period. Not sure if I would go back as the price was $$ for the quality of food and quantity. Lunch averaged $25 each.

We came here specifically for that endless shrimp special for $25. Parking is very ample since it’s shared with Holiday Inn Express. It didn’t take long for us to get seated. The biscuits were still mouth watering as the last time I was there and that was a long time ago. With the endless shrimp option, you have 7 to pick from plus one side.

For the first three I chose Walt’s favorite shrimp, crispy sea salt and vinegar shrimp, and garlic shrimp scampi. My side was mashed potatoes. Since it was busy, it took a bit of time for the food to come out but they came out hot and fresh. Walt’s favorite shrimp and garlic shrimp scampi were both delicious. The sea salt and vinegar shrimp was okay, but didn't have a lot of flavor. The waiter returned and said I can choose two for the second round. I chose the shrimp linguini alfredo and parrot isle jumbo coconut shrimp. The coconut was probably my favorite, they were big and the sauce had a very prominent coconut flavor. Shrimp linguini alfredo was good too, the pasta helps with all of the shrimp. Third round I just went with the grilled shrimp skewer since I’m not a big fan of popcorn shrimp. The skewer was very tasty.

I definitely recommend this deal if you’re able to do 2-3 rounds to get your money’s worth. It is true that they don’t come back as often since they know you got the endless option. I’m not sure why since they have it on the menu and they should expect customers to order it. Service was decent, could be a lot more attentive.

This Red Lobster is one of the nicest, most friendliest, & cleanest Red Lobster locations I have ever had the pleasure of dining in! The hostess we had was very nice & sweet & she put us in a nice seating area near the window! Our waiter, Santos was cool & so nice!
Our food was hot & ready, too!
I really enjoyed eating here & if I ever come back to Downer's Grove, I will come back here (hopefully)! 👍🏾👌🏾❤️

I came here excited, since it’s been years since I had last been to a red lobster. I was completely disappointed. First, the food was bland, and the plating looked sad. I had gotten the dragon shrimp (I’m forgetting the name), and it barely had sauce. Easy fix, I could have asked for more sauce on the side, but our waiter was nowhere to be found. That leads into my second complaint. The waiter did not check on us at all. It was hard to call him over too, because we barely saw him. We did not get offered any refills at all, on our drinks or the complementary biscuits. The service was the worst part, honestly, I do not recommend.

The food was average and the service was terrible. Our server looked like she was in a rush to get us out even though the restaurant wasn’t busy and there were two other tables seated in our section. She never came back to bring more water, didn’t ask if we wanted dessert, or if we needed more biscuits. She brought the check without even asking and offered boxes while our party was still eating our meal. We felt rushed to get out and leave and couldn’t enjoy the meal.

We came here excited to trying the new pick your shrimp but service was very mediocre waiter had no energy and seemed as if he hated his job. I asked for sauce for my pasta to go because pasta dries out over time and he says it would be a up charge for this. Well Saturday 10-26 we had my mother's memorial because it's her favorite restaurant..so we went to have her favorite meal and drink.. we was there for 2 hours before we order are entrees.. we order appetizers first ..we had the lobster pizza..mozzarella sticks..crab dip.. and shrimp..I didn't get my shrimp til my food came I waited 2 hours for appetizers shrimp..we all ate appetizers that was there in front of us..my friend ordered a salad she never got🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️.. the waiters ignored us til inhad to stop him and ask for a manager.my father didn't eat no appetizers he wanted his food so for 2 hours my father didn't eat anything.. the manager came we complained and she basically told us to shut up and order not n those words but trust that's what she was saying..after all that when we finally did get are entrees we just asked for some to go containers..The manager did take a few dollars off are food and I do mean a few bucks.. this was my favorite red lobster til we got Rashly profiled.. You can't tell me we wasn't how was are section full with white people. That we sat down first at 6:00p.m we didn't get are entrées till 8:45p.m.. people that sat down 30-40 minutes after us.. got they food I just don't understand.. Yesterday was one of the worst experiences that we’ve ever encountered at this particular location. Usually, they’re on point with everything We had reservations for 6:00 PM. We were seated right away, The waiter step over to take our drink orders and appetizers. I asked him repeatedly for a salad that I never received because he was too busy rushing us to order and walking off without allowing us to complete our orders. One of the appetizers we ordered took us two hours to get it when we finally got our drinks we needed refills. It took for us to hound the waiter down just to ask for refills. We were never asked. How was the appetizers? Did we need anything? We asked to speak to the manager, because he never came back to take our food order a whole hour and a half past when the manager arrives we were explaining to her about how unhappy we were with the waiters service and unprofessionalism we were told by the manager instead of complaining get on with our orders one of the other waitresses rolled her eyes at us we were seated in the rear by the emergency exit where it was freezing. All we got we got were excuses about how they had a party of 18 the restaurant was not overly crowded we were there to celebrate the life of a loved one that we lost and decided to have her memorial at her favorite restaurant just to be disrespected by staff. The food was delicious when we finally received it. We didn’t really enjoy it because it took 2 1/2 hours to get it and by then we were ready to just box it up and leave, which is what we did, this was one of the worst experiences we’ve ever had at this particular location and we will not be coming back as we were leaving. The waiter expected a tip and then got upset because he didn’t get one due to his lack of professionalism and service he asked where we serious for not giving him a tip he never came back to take our dinner order. The manager took Our orders there were so many customers complaining about the service we understand that sometimes restaurants are short staffed But does that mean it’s OK for the employees to be rude to the customer this is unacceptable 😡😡😡

Came here around 1pm for lunch. I got the Ultimate Feast with two lobster tails, Walt’s shrimp and shrimp pasta. The food was good, the biscuits were fresh and plentiful. Jose was our waiter and did a great job. I liked that the manager got involved in helping the servers and he checked in on us. This was a great experience. I’m glad the place is surviving despite the company’s challenges.

The food was exceptional. I’ve never had red lobster that tasted so good in my life. It’ was even better the next day. Biscuits warmed up were nice and soft not hard. You could taste butter in the sauce. I got the new boil which was great. Just needed my potatoes cook a little long that’s it. Server was fanatic and personable. Great job new manager. Keep up good job. I will be back this week

Service was very slow. Our server was Nadia, it seemed like she wasn’t interested in serving. It was not what we expected. We asked for soda refills multiple times and it was a Pepsi we asked for but she just bringing multiple sprites. She took over 25 minutes to take our order. I’m a server myself and understand if it was busy but it was not busy at all. I could tell she really doesn’t like her job or she’s just really bad at it.

The table i got at the resturant wasn't fully wiped down still had a small amout of food on it. The service was good. But the food was fair. The biscuits i got weren't hot just little warm. The shrimp skewer was very good along with the lobster tail. But the steak was abit undercooked i asked for medium and got more medium rare. But the steak on top of that seemed to get cooler fast. I wanted the surf and turf combo since they had a special running on wed. For surf and turf. Overall not to bad. But wish the steak was cooked better and the biscuits were hotter

Food was excellent, but my request for all tartar sauce was replaced by cocktail sauce for our takeout order. This was online, and even in the restaurant asking for additional. This totally ruined the meal at home and put me in a bad situation with family and guests. I guess I have to double check everything in the future.

The server was one of the worst I've ever had. He seemed very distracted and not interested. I understand he was probably having something going on at home which I hope he can resolve. The last straw was after asking for take home containers 4 or 5 different times and waiting about 20 minutes for them. He never brought them and the second I stepped away from the table he finally decided to come to the table with the check and threw away my food as well as my 2 daughters. It felt very intentional and I spoke to the manager who didn't seem surprised at all. Won't be going back there.

Unfortunately the larger "Bairdi" crab legs were not available, so instead I got the Snow Crabs with Roasted Garlic Butter. Despite this, my meal was absolutely delicious. The crab legs which were placed on top of crispy potatoes were heavily doused in the roasted chopped garlic butter sauce. Glad they give you the tools you need but wish I had more to use to get the meat out of the somewhat skinnier parts. My baked potato side was delicious and hot as well and served right away after the legs. The service at this location was one of the best received from the moment we walked in and got seated to the server ensuring our orders were taken promptly. I liked my berry cocktail too. Plenty of parking in the lot. A very diverse group of customers from families to dates to groups of seniors and even little children. Music was fun and unexpectedly popping with 90's hits which made the experience even better!

The portion sizes have gotten ridiculously small considering how high the prices are (I got the Cajunb Chicken Linguine Alfredo). For over $18, I got what looked like a lunch portion with chicken that was slightly chewy.

the worst service everrrrr! 143 down the drain.. food came out cold as the inside of the place, it was pretty empty so we thought we have a nice time..nope Jessica the nice but very slow girl couldn't remember anything, instead of the manager asking us if we were ok because we waited forever and it's not busy, the long island was horrible as ever.. and I asked for extra butter and got charged for 8.99🤣 they refunded that but it took forever for the manager to come do it who seem like she was just there to kick it and have fun with the staff..I will never return to this location nor red lobster. I should have followed my first mind and went to King crabs atleast the food would have been hot! and got my money worth !!

We had a family gathering of 17 this past Sunday. Santos did a SPECTACULAR job of serving us as did the kitchen. And this included separate checks per couple (which other restaurants preferred to decline our hefty business rsther than do more than one check). Santos was very well organized, friendly and funny - even helped my family pull a prank on me! We couldnt believe how fast our food came out - and basically all at once so we all ate together. Plus all the food was perfectly cooked. I highly recommend this location!

Possibly the worst quality food and worst management I’ve ever seen in the service industry. BEWARE! Most things are microwaved to heat them up, such as the Alfredo and the soup. The lettuce is barely checked for quality by their lackluster managers so naturally the lettuce is as rusty as old car parts. The General Manager is highly unprofessional and will “correct” his staff while they are in front of their table taking their order. The head cook gets servers to buy him beer so he can drink in his truck. So yeah real classy joint.

Downers Grove location.. The service was terrible! The waitress must have been new she didn’t have a clue what was going on. Biscuits came to the table cold ask for plates had to ask twice. Forgot to put order in for Lobster Dip. Order a load baked potato with sour bacon and chives receive a loaded with crab meat and some type of cheese . I asked for my chocolate cake to go in the beginning of the order!! She brought it to the table on a plate!! Very disappointed!!

Isn’t how it used to be. Food was luke warm. Shrimp linguine pasta is thinner than it used to be. No salads with meal. Strawberry pina coloda must have been virgin, no taste of alcohol. Calamari was chewy. Another member of my party of 5, asked for steak cooked medium, it was well done. Rice pilaf, undercooked. Absolutely nothing was hot. Very disappointed. We used to frequent. Now we remember why we took a break from coming.

Service was off tonight. The server was socially awkward, and despite requesting extra Alfredo sauce, he had to be reminded. Gave me a lobster tail that was clearly bad or overcooked. Tried to substitute it with a Rock lobster tail which was tough and tasteless. I evenyually sent it back. Not a good experience tonight.

Shrimp linguini alfredo was good too, the pasta helps with all of the shrimp. Third round I just went with the grilled shrimp skewer since I’m not a big fan of popcorn shrimp. The skewer was very tasty.

I definitely recommend this deal if you’re able to do 2-3 rounds to get your money’s worth. It is true that they don’t come back as often since they know you got the endless option. I’m not sure why since they have it on the menu and they should expect customers to order it. Service was decent, could be a lot more attentive.

Food was decent. Service was not good. Joe had a lack of customer service. Only came 1 time, half hour after food was given. I asked for no bacon on my Mac and cheese. My Mac and cheese comes with bacon. I told Joe I asked for no bacon his response was “it comes with bacon” no customer service whatsoever. Karen in the front desk was very kind truly a great person. Only person with good service. Joe needs to learn better service and be more friendly. I even had to get up to pay my bill because he was to busy talking with his co workers.

Terrible experience. Had 4:30 reservation for 9 people. After complaining multiple times and being told they had no tables or no servers, we were seated at 5:25. By then we k ew what we wanted so ordered entrees immediately. Didn’t even get biscuits until 20 minutes later and entrees probably 10 Minutes after that. I think the waiter was trying but food was mediocre at best and portions much smaller than in the past. Even though we spoke with the “manager” we were never offered compensation of any kind. Will not be returning.

Our Server made our visit! She continued to ask if we needed anything, and when an extra was missing from our table, she made sure we got it. I have not been in this restaurant for a long time, but I'm sure to return soon as a result of her commitment!

Placed a phone order for the family Alfredo shrimp pasta and was told it would be ready by 3:30 pm although the receipt indicated it would be ready by 3:21 pm. I requested curbside pickup however the receipt indicated walk in pick up. Although I called upon arriving at 3:30 pm and was told it would be right out I ended up going inside and picking up our meal at 3:56 pm. Upon arriving at home and opening the packaging I observed that the shrimp still had the tails on. Very POOR experience overall especially considering I included a tip when placing my order.

Went out to eat with my boyfriend for valentine's day at around 8:30 and the service sucked. I get it is a “holiday” but it took more that 20 minutes to even get a glass of water. When the waiter came over to our table we ordered drinks and appetizers never received either. They didn’t write anything we ordered down. The biscuits we got were smashed. Ordered mash potato as a side got fries instead. Asked for more biscuits never got that either. Noticed that us and another table next to us were not as attended to as all other tables surrounding. Again I get it is late but overall just felt neglected and wouldn’t want to come back to this location.

I wish we got our servers name but she was great! Me and my boyfriend came here Monday evening and got the endless shrimp. Our server was very attentive and quick. The food was good and the service was spectacular.

I felt saddened by the service my family received. We were very kind and polite he greeted us and we ordered our drinks. We ordered appetizers and he brought back our drinks however he did not bring utensils or napkins, I waited for him to return so we can mention it and I specifically asked for utensils and napkins and he repeated napkins only and I said please and utensils sir and he walked away only brought me napkins immediately that were stained from another table stuck together. I decided maybe it was a mistake and asked for utensils again and he said okay and proceeded to only leave new utensils at surrounding empty tables that no one was seated at. He hovered around us and did not come near our table again.
We ate out appetizers with our fingers since my son was hungry and didn’t seem to mind however when he brought the entrees he brought us no utensils. He did ask if we wanted more bread and I said yes please and utensils forks etc for the steaks and pasta and he said okay. And never came back again.
My husband had to go to another table to get some that he had left.
Our food was turning cold.
I normally don’t like to say anything because this is awkward and I don’t like being those people however he tended to other people much kinder and faster then us.
It saddens me that we experienced this mistreatment. When he did come over I looked up to say somethin to my husband that he was here and he walked away. We no longer felt comfortable enjoying our food and felt we should leave he clearly wanted us gone. We finally had him speak to us and we asked for containers and the checks and he instantly brought it to us ; that apparently he heard but not the other requests.
His name was Greg. I hope his day gets better. The hostess was very nice just not the server.

I visited Red Lobster to celebrate my son's birthday which is a tradition for us. We were there in October and the food and service was great but this visit was a disaster. When we arrived, we were seated quickly and the waiter came to the table in a reasonable amount of time. Once we received our drinks and biscuits and main entrees, our waiter was missing in action. My son ordered a lobster baked potato which cost $6.00 and it was the size of a child's fist. I brought this to the waiter's attention and I was told the item would be removed . Which it wasn't when the bill arrived. I had to request water 3 times finally getting it from the manager. My son ordered the endless shrimp and he was only able to order a second time and was brought the incorrect items. The service and quality of food has declined severely, and this was the better of the two in my area.

Santos was giving me attitude he said I didn't tip him enough I tip 7 dollars he also took 2. Dollar out of my debt card he never check if we need it anything hc I gave my gift card 50 dollars he run. After me BC my card didn't go through but we waiting for him. He never came to ask us if we need help or something the other person in blue shirt and tall was very helpful the food was good

Randomly came here for dinner, there was no wait, our server was on point and very polite. We never had to ask for refills, the food was served pretty fast. All in all excellent Sunday Date Night. We ordered the Endless Shrimp, omg the coconut shrimp was by far out favorite, I love the coconut sauce. My boyfriend ordered the Lobster Tail with Grilled Salmon and Shrimp Skewer. He loves the Skewed Shrimp omg it had so much flavor!!!! The biscuits were super 👌. Highly recommend this establishment give them all of your money.

We visited this Red Lobster location tonight and were greeted, the wait was going to be 45 minutes. It wasn’t! It was maybe 10! We were seated and though it took 15 minutes for our server Santos to get our drink order, we didn’t mind because this place was packed. We got our drinks and then or biscuits, which are always fresh and warm! Again, it took Santos a bit to come get our food order but again we weren’t annoyed at all as the people just kept coming in. Santos was courteous, friendly and we could see he was busting his butt! I ordered the Endless Shrimp and my son ordered the New Orleans Salmon. Unlike the other location we had visited, this food was tasty and hot upon arrival at our table. Thank you for restoring my faith in Red Lobster. The only suggestion I have to offer is update, repaint and replace the furniture. Otherwise, what a pleasant experience!

I had a pick up order and everything I ordered was delicious. I ordered the surf n turf strip Maine tail with the 10oz NY strip with a side of broccoli and added on 1/2lb of snow crabs. Everything was delicious. My steak was made incorrectly, it was over cooked by mistake but they remade it with no hassle and it came out perfectly the 2nd time and it was done quickly as well. I was very surprised to have my whole order remade it was very kind and highly appreciated. I would absolutely order here again. Mistakes are rare in my experience wherever I order food in general, it happens though no biggie but I was so pleased with how well they handled this with such grace :)

Feliciana is one of the BEST servers I’ve ever had the privilege of serving me. Not exaggerating. That woman knows what she is doing. The finest attitude and demeanor. My party was seated to celebrate a milestone. We waited for more than 30 minutes & no 1 came to take our order or anything. I went to the hostee's station & requested to speak with a manager. Once Manager Heather came, we advised her of our experience. Heather didn't apologize, but she offered us desserts on her. I advised her that I already have 3 free offers in my Red Lobster app. Therefore, the desserts she offered weren't needed. Due to Heather not showing empathy & not apologizing, my party left & went somewhere else for dinner. I contacted Red Lobster's corporate office, but there has been no response.

Had a good dining experience when we visited. Not a fan of the scallops, but its just me. Guess it was the texture. Overall, the server was really good, price was on point, the ambiance was really good, parking was huge and we didnt have to wait long for our food to come out.
