This was one of my favorite thrift stores. Super clean and everything is nicely displayed. But things are getting overpriced. Its a thrift store - these are used items - and I'm not going to pay these prices.

Employees are nice and friendly. However, everything is way overpriced. Everything is donated to them and they price everything like it’s new instead of pricing it to move out of the store to make room for more items.

My first time going and I was disappointed after reading the reviews. The prices were super high compared to other resale shops I’ve been to and not a big selection.

I love visiting new places, especially resale shops. My friend and I found this shop on Google and decided to visit. The parking is great, the outside of the shop is welcoming, the pricing is fair and the staff were welcoming. The store is very well organized, clothing items are sized and other items are in specific areas depending on the item. They provide a fitting room if you need to try anything on. They do not have a bathroom so beware if you are the person who after shopping for a while need to take a bathroom break you will need to leave and come back. Overall, we were very pleased with this resale shop and it is now on our list of go to shopping places.

Managed to snag two quality blazers, a shirt, and a really comfy pair of work pants for $14.50 which is INSANE. When I went, all clothing was 50% off. Changing room (at least the one I was in) was odd as it seems they’ve used little broom closets with no ventilation to use. Trying on clothes in that small of space will definitely make you sweat. However, overall pleasant experience and I will definitely be back!

Over the years I have shopped and donated here and it just gets better and better. Quality housewares, clothes, and jewelry. Lots of organized hardcover books. I have bought some real treasures. And the staff works hard to make it just right!

I have been going to the Gingham Tree Resale Shop for many years. I have watched this historical building that started out as a house & then remodeled into a Resale Shop over the years. I have donated many items & bought many things. Finding items that I like or need is so nice. This resale shop is supporting the Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, IL. They have clothing, jewelry, books, pictures, kitchenware, housewares & much more. It is a good place to donate for a good cause. Put them on your favorite list.

Fun, little thrift (resale) shop with a little bit of everything. I am a crafter. I sew and knit so I stop by the Gingham Tree often for great prices on fabric, yarn, etc. I've also picked up some great clothes, purses, books, and the occasional household item. Prices are fair, volunteers are very sweet and always helpful. Like all thrift stores it can be hit or miss as to what they have depending on the type and quantity of their donations. Definitely worth your time to stop by. I gave 4 stars because of the limited hours. They close at 4pm, every day. I would love to see them stay open to 7pm a couple of nights a week. I would definitely stop by more often if they had some later hours.

It's clear from the many nice displays that the volunteers who work here put their heart and soul into making this an inviting place to browse. And the ladies working here were super friendly. Many of the prices were far too high, but the terrific sales offset this issue. The day I visited for the first time, jewelry, dolls, bottoms, and shoes were 50% off. As a result, I scored some excellent bargains, including a brand new pair of Dansko clogs for $6.00. If I lived in the area, I would likely be a regular shopper, but since I live in the NW suburbs, who knows when I'll get the chance to return.

Always something interesting to buy here !

Review №57

They price all their jewelry way to high. You could look online an fine new jewelry at better prices. I would buy any jewelry from them. Then the clothes are high to. Best is to try to go only on the days that the take 50% off. But other wise dont waste your time going there.

We found some nice tools and other things at an incredibly low price. They accept credit cards and they offered to help us carry our purchases to the car. They also have some high end items such as watches and antiques. However, the shop is rather small, so the selection can be limited.

Always high quality. Great place for men for ties, belts, braces, top coats, pants and shirts. They run 50% off and spin to save and prices are excellent they tap the high end home of area since funds go to Good Samaritan hospital.

My first and favorite. I think the main reason why I insist on going to Good Samaritan Hospital is to shop at the Gingham Tree! The volunteers are always happy and friendly and it's just a great place to explore!
