Cashier was extremely nice when I asked to use restroom. I went into bathroom and a rude MALE employee tried barging into the woman’s bathroom while the door was locked and I was using it. When I came out he tried kicking my friend and I out. When I asked why he said “you aren’t the one who cleans the bathrooms are you?” I told him I asked the woman working the register he replied “No you didn’t” we walked over and she told him that she allowed us to use it. He continued to give us an attitude after confirming we had permission to use the restroom. I come here very often and I’ve never dealt with something like this. It was extremely inappropriate trying to barge into a woman’s bathroom knowing it’s occupied.

Nice clean gas station. Slight negative experience I was using the restroom and the employee came in and started mopping my shoes under the stall. She told be to be careful when I came out. We do always enjoy going to a Thorntons gas station cause they're usually well-kept.

My residence is right behind your gas station, and you recently had some kind of beeping device. I haven't slept for TWO DAYS, I've called the police about it and filed a noise complaint with the city. Can you get rid of this ridiculous "mosquito deterrent" device... that was the excuse I received when I went into the store to ask about it. I would like to sleep at night again in MY OWN HOME!!!!

Coffee station was not only out of service but was also disgusting and filthy as well. Looks like no one has cleaned it in weeks.
If you’re going to offer coffee at least keep up with the equipment

Rude 3rd shift female cashier refused to sell me tobacco b/c my license is expired, even though she could obviously see my license shows I'm over 40 yrs old ! I can legally drive a car until the extension ends, but she can refuse to sell to regular (of age) customers b/c of the expiration date on their i.d ??? Unbelievable ! Taking my business to the competition across the street from now on. Need to Train and hire better staff, always a bad experience here.

Best service i had, i was greeted by the one and only AJ with a warm and affable greeting. As i am a regular, he always has a high spirit. Today I accidentally spilled a drink and AJ was very kindhearted and said "i got this" with a smile. As i felt bad, he made sure that it's water under the bridge and that accidents happen. AJ is one of the best workers i have met shopping there. Hopefully he gets some praise and maybe a raise..!!!

I'm just gonna put this as simple as possible. The employees there are very rude. Some examples include: some guy asked a simple question about the beers that were in the refrigerator and got attitude from a Hispanic female employee. One of the African American cashier's there handed me the bag so I can put my items in myself while there was a line of 3 people behind me.

Everytime I go there most of the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. There is one lady who is rude to almost every customer every time I come in and she messes up a lot of the time on transactions. I don't deal with her much but I believe her name is Kat. I have also been coming to this location for years. Very fast service and right off of the highway. The prices are reasonable and they also have a wide selection of food and coffee etc.

One of the cashiers is extremely rude and impatient, she was having a tantrum at the cash register, I had to remind her that she is getting payed and to calm down, and she was talking with another co-worker about intentionaly making another customer upset while ringing up another customer. Too bad this is the nearest gas station to me, she needs to fired.

Almost as good as QT!

I have been in Chicago visiting on 2 occasions over the last several months and found Thorntons including this location in N Aurora.

They are clean, and friendly. Great selection and well lit for feeling safe at night.

Don't know what previous reviewer was talking about with unclean staff or long lines. I never had these experiences.
