As a hitchhiker, homeless traveler, no mad, free spirit, drifter, anything they describes a person who travels by way of hitchhiking and humankindness I am appalled disgusted and flat out insulted by the way quick star employees, specifically a shorter round lady with red hair and glasses, handled a apparent situation, of me sitting at the day bar doing my online work, spending plenty of money eating and drinking and reading the paper, not talking to anyone, bothering anyone nor being disruptive in any way or form. Just so everyone knows apparently they have a strict rule on how long you are able to sit stay or stand at a quick star. Apparently it doesn't matter that you spend 20 to $40 a day there and yes maybe throughout the entire day 3 hours to stay warm as I'm passing through town and stuck because Iowans do not like to give people they don't know rides, which is true in many states, 2 days before Christmas being humiliated and hearing the employees chatter and laugh about my situation which is not a situation it is my choosing some days are good some days are bad, but I do it to see the goodness in people and see the realness of people and today I saw the realness o discrimination and profiling. I was not bothering anyone harming anyone nor doing anything wrong of any sort but I felt very belittled and demeaned by what just happened. I have been to many a quick stars and gas stations and truck stops along my travels sometimes stuck at them for weeks and have not had anything happen as disgusting as what just took place. I don't know what people can use from this review as far as do they have cold soda do they have hot food how clean are the bathrooms but know this they are profiling and demeaning and very disgusting souls many of the employees specifically managers many employees were very cool. October 2024- Went to the gas station. woman with a raspy voice is scanning my purchases. I asked if she's sick and she said the fever and the throwing up is over. I immediately pull everything as close to me as possible and tell her only to scan everything and I don't need a bag. She proceeds to overreach across the counter and grab everything by the top like drinks and food scan it, and put it in a bag. I look frustrated and tell her didn't you just say you were sick! She acts frustrated and politely invites me to not buy anything if I don't want it.

Sept 2024- I came in to buy a bottle of water and some other things. The bottle of water that I pulled out of the refrigerator had a broken seal at the top and started leaking water. The bottle was already only 2/3 full. I brought the item along with the items I wanted to purchase up to the counter and informed of the cashier that I found an opened half drank bottle of water. She must have been very confused because she asked me if I wanted to purchase it and I was like no I don't want to purchase it! I brought it up here so you could do something with it. After purchasing my items and driving away I looked in my bag and found through sleight of hand she ended up giving me the bottle that was opened instead of the unopened one that I wanted to purchase. You better believe I went back and demanded they give me an unopened one. Her manager came over and asked what happened and she had some elaborate explanation that there must have been a second opened bottle which doesn't make any sense to me.

2019-Usually I'd leave a great review, I frequent this place daily! I like the place, but I'm angry right now because I've been keeping a receipt log of my gas for at least 8 years and today the cashier could not print me a receipt based on the cost of my gas or the pump number that I was at. Basically she stood there until I gave up and walked away and then she said sorry. Well I don't want to make anybody upset but I'm pretty upset right now.

Had the worst experience at the JFK road store. The store Associate was very intimidating, threatened me, and said she was going to call police, simply because I asked her why she cutting my card up. She said she had the right to do so.

The restrooms at this location are always disgusting. 🤢 Probably the worst kept in the whole city of Dubuque. This is not a one time issue. It’s literally every time I come here. The toilets are green, the trash is overflowing and it reeks of urine.

Ever since this place opened it has been my go to spot for gas, snacks, milk, beer, or energy drinks. It’s in a prime location, next to Taco Bell on JFK, and is very organized and clean, and the bathrooms are very nice. The workers are nothing but pleasant each and every time, and will offer any assistance should you need some. They have some hot food, sandwiches, and fruit available as well should you be looking for a quick bite. Overall, I’d reccomend this place to anyone who appreciates quality service and a quality product.

Tina at quick star is the best employee I have ever talked to. My friends and I got hungry for some Taco Bell. We looked them up and it said open so I called to make sure. They didn t answer and we were thinking who might know. So we called one of the quick stars and the gentleman did not know and sounded a bit rude. So I hung up and called the other quick star. Tina answer and we asked if Taco Bell was open. She was able to help us and find the answer to our questions by looking out the window. Thank you and for your kind service my friends and I will have to stop by for some of quickstars cheeseburgers. Thanks Tina.

I mentioned my eye allergies to smells and the attendant had a very helpful man out to pump my gas. He was there before l got to the pump!! Great place with lots of good energy. I will return for all my fuel!!

I had a very Terrible experience it says 24 hours in my opinion that means food all the time, condiments all the time, service all the time, etc. asking the employees for anything is a joke no one wants to help you with anything, and the customers were rude pushing you out of the way.

The one place Ive found in Dubuque that has 91% recreational gas on a separate house. No mixing with 10% alcohol gas. I always get my motorcycle filled here!

Nice store like all the KwikTrips/kwikstars I dont know if has more parking than the other location or just not as busy. I dont have a car wash but that ok I dont go to KwikTrip/kwikstar for car wash anyway

I was in Dubuqur for a two week work conference and was seriously overwhelmed leaving kwikstar anytime I stopped for a snack, drink, or gas. The staff is so accommodating, kind, and wonderful!

Its more like a miniature grocery store attached to a gas station then a regular gas station. If I have the opportunity, this is the only one I go to in Dubuque. Mondays there fresh specialty coffee beverages are a dollar

Kwik Star is always an excellent choice not only do they have every octane of gas for both cars and motorcycles they have diesel fuel and excellent snacks. We always choose the fruit its fresh filling nutritional and it fits our diets.

The Kwik Star franchises how the formula down pretty good. All the specials are the same at every one and they run them regularly. My favorites are bananas and of course Donuts. They also have great coffee and run specials on it too. If you sign up for their email you can get periodic offers for specials and in Iowa $0.07 a gallon off

Great Service, easy access from Rt.20. Fresh food, bakery, produce, dairy, eggs. Hot items including soup, burgers, egg rolls, pancake wrapped sausage, egg rolls, specialty coffee. Fresh bread and buns. Basics always very affordable. Clean store. Lots of pumps.

I love this place. They have a wide selection of food available, and most of the standard small groceries. The atmosphere is nice inside, and its always clean. Open late, great place to stop for a snack on the way home.
