Meanwhile: cashiers have like zero urgency, regularly complain about their job to customers, & ask you questions without even bothering to listen to your response (“want your X in a bag?”)

I get regularly get raw chicken mixed with vegetables in my bags & it’s not uncommon for barcodes to not work; resulting in staff members asking me(?) the price of said item

All in all, it’s my go-to Hyvee because it has the best organic/ natural selection, but there’s definitely a lot of room for improvement & lots of competition out there if things don’t improve

On 12/30/24 had a work group into have breakfast, it really was a huge bother to the guy that took our order! The food was given to us out of order and it was poor quality. The ladies that normally wait on us are awesome but it must have been their day off.

The Hyvee-Bakery made our wedding cake and cupcakes. It was all delicious! Tyler was great to work with and was very gracious about all my questions and changes during the ordering process. Delivery also worked out great! Highly recommend working with Hy-vee for weddings:)

The Chinese Express is killer! I was there a couple different times, and employee Dave was very helpful, and knowledgeable about the specific dinners, and wound up saving me some money by making my order a combo meal. I was taken in by the beautiful food on the line and didn't bother looking at the menu once. Thanks for guys like Dave.

My husband and I like this Hy-Vee location. We thought the store was large, very nicely stocked, everything was laid out well which made it easy to shop and find things, and the selection was great. Both deli and the meat counter had a nice selection and there is a variety of wines and alcohol. I liked that there was a lot of "gourmet" type things to select from such as spices, hot sauces, cheeses, local honey and other jarred sauces (including from Galena). The staff was beyond helpful when we couldn't find a product we were looking for and just super friendly in general. Inside this Hy-Vee location is a Wahlburgers (which includes a happy hour).

NOT TOO BAD OF GROCERY STORE. THEY HAVE A GOOD BAKERY. ONE OF THIER DOWNFALLS IS THEY ARE SUPPOSE TO CARRY A&E MILK BUT THEY REFUSE TO CARRY THE REGULAR MILK. EVERY TIME I GO IN THERE THEY ARE OUT OF REGULAR CHOCOLATE MILK. THEY ALWAYS SEEM TO HAVE THE 2% GARBAGE BUT NOT THE WHOLE MILK. THEY WILL NOT ORDER LESS 2% AND MORE WHOLE FOR SOME UNKNOWN REASON. THEY ALSO WILL NOT ORDER THE WHOLE CHOCOLATE IN GALLONS WHICH ARE AVAILABLE. SINCE I ORIGINALLY WROTE THIS THEY HAVE ADDED GALLONS OF WHOLE CHOCOLATE MILK.

By far the best grocery store in the area if you're looking for variety, convenience, and sale prices. It's a one stop shop that not many other places can compete with (there is a bank, a florist, a buffet, pizza kitchen, sushi, hot Chinese food, Wahl burgers restaurant, urgent care, pharmacy, etc ) all under one roof. They have a huge variety of produce, butcher meat boxes, fresh seafood, HomeGoods, large organic health section, beauty care items, seasonal gift items, etc .. it's really just an amazing place. However, not good for a quick trip, and can be over stimulating, especially at busy times of day.

Went in 4 their Chinese dinners. Both people that waited on us were extremely unfriendly, very stand offish. Very disappointing. They both together made an inside joke and laughed their a$$es off at myself and my son. Very uncomfortable situation. Won't be back for a while, even though their food is extremely good and the selections available can't be beat.
Even their fountain pop selections are awesome. We had a PINEAPPLE CREAM SODA pop tonight that was amazing!!

I'm not sure why, but there are many things this store quit carrying... DelMonte stewed tomatoes, harvest wheat bread, small canisters of regular oatmeal, Plockman's mustard and several other things. I'm shopping more and more at Eagles as it carries these things. Not as close but cares about customer preference more.
