the sales guy was great, Josh. He told us products would be delivered installed and old units hauled away in a couple days. No fault of his but Lowe’s needs a better system and understanding of each department. apparently the warehouse delivery and installation are all separate and they all have different ideas of communications and implementation. They are not cohesive. Working with Lowe’s has been an absolute nightmare. We’ve already made more than 11 phone calls. Been transferred seven times on one single phone call and during the hour of being on the phone they said “a manager will call you tomorrow” and then he did not. We have been hung up on twice and two weeks later we still do not have the units that we’ve paid for and we’re supposed to be delivered in 3 days. They didn’t call us with updates when the delivery didn’t come 2 different times, we had to call them. Today we called again and they informed us of a new delivery date - again not communicated to us- we had to call to find out. Delivery guy didn’t take old unit away and was supposed to so we need annother service to come out. Everyone seems to not have answers and passes us off to the next person. Manager Chris was supposed to call us never did. Install installation came before delivery was made so it was a waste of time . Project manager for the entire ordeal telling them how many people need to come, and what needs to be done first. It seems like the logical thing that this company would know that you need to order the supplies have them delivered have the old units removed and then have the units installed but they haven’t had the steps flow in the right order and I’m shocked at the lack of efficiency and poor communication. After 2 weeks, today the man I spoke with said there were “no notes” associated with our number which is wild because we have been on the phone over 10 times already about this. We’ve received little to no empathy and NO apologies or efforts to make this right. We’ve been offered no compensation. We are so very disappointed with Lowe’s and will never shop there or use their services again. I was overly kind and positive despite a very frustrating situation and still received attitude and ZERO apology after 2 weeks countless phone calls and attempts to get the devices we paid for, delivery, haul away, and installation. The entirety of this business transaction has been inappropriate and unacceptable. We paid for a service so we didn’t have to go thru these kinds of headaches and it’s been more of a headache than if we just went to a local appliance store and did it ourselves. What a disappointment. We spent a ton of money and it was absolutely wasted on services that were not delivered. It will be 3 weeks when we finally get the unit (hopefully?) and then they still need to schedule a haul away and install - I’ll be lucky to have this all completed in 4 weeks. If this is standard procedure then it should have been communicated but instead we were told it would be done in 3-5 days. The people we’ve worked with over the phone have made this experience truly miserable. Lowe’s should make this right and offer any kind of concession and they have not. Customer service these days and the value of a business are unrecognizable.

The other day my friend and I were looking into getting a piece of ply wood for our outdoor project. We asked Zach for help and he lead us through the whole way, helping us find the wood we needed as well as the stakes for the yard he even helped us to figure out the best way to put the sign up. Zach was very helpful, patient and spirited and made what was supposed to be an annoying stop, very fun and easy for both me and my friend.

We went to Lowe’s to get screws for my new license plate. We mentioned to Marty that we were having a hard time getting the old rusted screws off. He came out to the parking lot to help us remove the stripped screws and put the new ones on. Seriously amazing service here! Highly recommend.

In store salesmen are very helpful and make promises but the delivery and service end is very unreliable and disorganized not meeting any of the salesmen’s promises. Then customer service, even up to the corporate level are horrible. Passing us on from one person to another with no one taking responsibility and resolving issues. Very disappointing.

September 2024 - what's the deal with everyone pulling their phones out and googling stuff when I ask them for a shelf location or for an item?
2023 november- went in for a drain grate. Employee didn't know what it was, started googling it. After a good few minutes, I said I'd go looking for it. But she stopped me and kept googling... she sent me to flooring, flooring sent me to plumbing. Plumbing ignored me like a busy bartender until I started flagging employees down. First one flat out said no not helping. Second led me to yet another employee who just kept saying go online. Go online. Go online.
2023- store employee, " we don't have dog food. No we don't have dog food. Go online. Go buy it online."
2023- August- I was trying to return a pallet for my deposit and the cashier not wanting to redeem the 20 some dollars and eventually the manager approached said what's the big deal, just give him store credit on a card. Until that point the guy was trying to get me to leave the pallet without the deposit.
2021-We purchased a front doorway and installation. Great salesman. The installation required having the doorbell placed into the new doorway. It was installed over 6 feet in the air which was a frustration to my elderly mother. I called up the original salesman and told him there were issues. He suddenly went from charismatic and helpful to telling me he's not the guy that talked to. The front desk at Lowe's wasn't exactly helpful either but I did get a phone number that directed me to a completely different service that's somehow vaguely related to Lowes. I reached them and asked them to come back and lower the doorbell. They came when I wasn't around and instead of fixing the doorbell to be at a normal height they calked the doorway as the previous installer did not do that. I called a third time asking them to bring a different person to get the doorbell right and nobody ever came and they never called me back.

Ordered new refrigerator after waiting a month was told couldn’t hook up because of ice maker wish someone would of talked to me ahead of delivery that they don’t work with copper piping felt like they were lazy and didn’t want to work or didn’t know what they were doing never order from Lowe’s again🤬

I've had trouble with two of them, they wouldn't give back up. These are the up-down shades.
Sherry was able to talk with the distributor, and they have replaced them at no cost to me.

What a great experience! I came in with some friends to help them with their purchase of a new stove. We were approached by a gentleman named Phil at the Dubuque, IA Lowe's. Immediately he greeted us with a smile and a firm handshake. He had a great personality along with a great knowledge of appliances. This was easily the best service I've ever had In a home improvement store. Even though I wasn't there for a personal purchase I couldn't wait to get on here and rave about the display of excellence and humanity Phil had showed us. We need more people lile Phil! We were looking for a new stove, and came to Lowes to browse what they had. We had one picked out, but we weren't sure about it. Phil from the Dubuque Lowe's was very knowledge, and helped us find the best option. He gave us all his attention, helped us find other accessories needed for the stove, and helped us load and strap it down so it wouldn't move! He was honestly the person that we were looking for not being knowledgeable about stoves ourselves! Phil did awesome and we will go back and ask for him whenever we need it. Literally the best store service we've had while being there in forever, Phil is awesome! 🙂

Dubuque location, the garden center cashier was pretty cueless. Asked if they carried a certain annual flower and pointed to it in a basket. He looked at me like I was speaking French. I asked if there was someone he could call to help and he just nodded and smiled then did nothing. Pretty frustrating when you need assistance. Otherwise, beautiful flowers and good prices.

I ordered a pellet grill from the store to be assembled and delivered. I was told delivery would be in 2 days from 4 - 8. They called at 8:45 pm and said that wouldn’t be able to deliver that night. They rescheduled for 3 days later from 4 - 8pm. They never showed up and no phone call. I called them for the fifth time to find out about delivery. They told me that the manager would personally deliver it that day. No show and no phone call. FED Up — cancelled my order! No wonder they’re closing stores.

This Lowe's store has everything I would expect at a Lowe's; plus, everyone working there was so helpful. Bill in the outside equipment department, was very helpful to us when there were problems with the snowblower we purchased. Beth in the paint center got us setup with everything we needed from cleaning the walls, removing wallpaper, priming and of course the paint itself. They also have some beautiful plants in the garden center. With the help of the appliance department, we were able to order a 48-in professional range that we weren't able to look at in the store, but was available to browse the specs online. We have received help from associates when we've had questions, or even if we didn't have questions, associates have given us some advice.

We recently went into Lowe's to purchase some flooring LVP. The gentleman who helped us was Daron Smith. I cannot express how amazing the customer service was that we received. He knew all of the products very well and he even went above and beyond to make sure that we found the right flooring for us. We returned a few timesAnd each time he recognized us and helped us with Not only professionalism but also some humor and good conversation. We are beyond pleased and would recommend Darren Smith to be a sales specialist for anyone who comes in. My mother shortly heard about our review and went to see Daron Smith herself. Again she had stated that he had amazing customer service and with both of us even upgraded what we were even expecting. 5 stars

When I ordered my new blinds from Sherry Hartford, she and I went through the different available options. I did not choose any of the fabric backing options because we didn't need to block the sunlight. However, when we put them up, we realized that there wasn't any privacy either, due to not having a backing. We could see out along with others seeing in. Because the shades were custom ordered, Bali would not allow me to send them back to install a fabric liner. I wasn't asking for replacements, nor was I asking for free backing. I was willing to pay for the shipping and cost of adding a back. Because of this, Sherry went to her manager and got approval to order new replacement shades at no cost to me. This is above and beyond what I was asking but so appreciative for the fabulous customer service!!! Once I receive the new blinds, I will donate the others to Habitat for Humanity through Lowes. A great surprise for someone else in need!!

On Sunday, 3/17/24, I visited the Dubuque Lowes for the first time. I am a brand new resident of the city and needed keys to my new house. A terrific Lowes employee not only helped me with my keys, he welcomed me to the community and offered all kinds of useful information. The experience was a great beginning of a new life here. I had ordered a large window, double sash, July 2023. One sash had a 8 inch scratch..so I made a deal that I would install the window and Lowe’s would replace the scratched sash. 1st replacement had grids, mine does not. 2nd replacement was also scratched. 3rd replacement was a totally different window…might have been a fourth, just lost track. Because now, today, is February 14, 2024, and I am still waiting for my replacement. Cannot make any of this up! I’d be wondering where all the ‘wrong’ replacements ended up? Well, I contacted headquarters also. Hopefully someday someone will get me my window. And please reach out to me with any questions on my experience.

If you are not a dog lover, be careful. They allow non service animals to wander the store with their owners. The difference between a service dog and just anybody's dog is that service dogs don't bark at little kids or people and make you nervous to be around them!

Purchased storm doors and installation, after about 9 weeks of waiting the installer finally came to install the doors. One of the doors was damaged, they installed the door and did not say a word that the door was damaged and installed it. Lowe's mill-work manager did provide a discount for the door. The contractor that installed the door did not properly install one of the door correctly, the other door was installed in sub par workmanship, after several attempts to contact them with no response we contacted Lowes.
The contractor finally did come to fixed the issue. I do not recommend the contractor used to install the doors due to lack of details in workmanship and communications.

The installers they have especially for appliances could use some training..I got a call from a client of mine after the guys from lowes installed a washer and she stated it was leaking.. upon my inspection, they didn't put the rubber hose washers in the supply lines was 1 of the causes

They had 8000btu air-conditioners with signs on them for $319. I get to the register and it's $468. They realized the mistake and refused to honor the price they had on multiple air conditioners. I go over to Menards and they have a huge selection for a lot cheaper. You can get a 12000btu at Menards for the same price Lowe's is asking for a 5000btu. Lowes must be hungry. They're clearly taking advantage of the hot spell and jacking up the prices as they go. Menards is better and they know how to operate a price labeler.

Lowes is the absolute worst place on earth to get something delivered from or in store pickup.

I had recently purchased a washer and dryer. Upon purchase I tried to set up delivery and hook up to my home. I was told that because of my location they would not make a delivery unless they were already scheduled a delivery in my area. I then proceeded to find a way to get my new washer and dryer to my home on my own. Once the washer and dryer were in my home a finally hooked up. The washer ended up not working. ☹️So with how difficult it was to get the washer and dryer to my home to begin with I had no choice but to try and set up an exchange/pick up through the store. When I called the store I was placed on hold for several minutes then bounced through departments to be transferred to the appliance department where I had been placed on hold again for several minutes. Eventually was able to talk to the manager of that department. The manager had stated that they can set up an exchange/pick up within the week and that they would call me with a set date. I had waited the full week. No response. Then proceeded to call the store being bounced around the departments and placed on hold to finally reach the manager and once again told the same thing. Wait for a response. 2 weeks had passed no contact. I grew rather irritated as all I wanted was a working washer! I then decided to call one more time. I was placed on hold and an employee of the appliance department finally answered. His name is Ted. Ted was amazing! Ted got me through the actual exchange process and set up a physical date for the exchange/pick up! Ted displayed wonderful customer service! Lowe’s has a one star. But Ted… Ted gets 8 stars! ⭐️ Ted did more then even the manager of that department!

Purchased a new $2300 washer and dryer set. Initial buying experience was good. After that everything went down hill. Waited 4 weeks for the product to come in. Setup the delivery date and estimated time. Got a confirmation call the morning of delivery, and waited the entire day without receiving the delivery. Finally I had to take it upon myself to call the store to see why the delivery was not made. The reason I was given was because we are still waiting on a stacking kit that hasn’t arrived yet. Which didn’t make sense since when I received the call about the delivery we discussed that and that we wanted the delivery made without the kit. Well, instead of getting it out the next day we had to wait 2 more days before I would be delivered. This time it actually showed but with damage. Now after calling the store to report damage it’s another waiting game. A very friendly customer assistance rep took my information and told me that a ACM would be contacting me shortly. The delivery department really dropped the ball on this one and lost a customer on future purchase.

A shoutout to Jeff Glover for his Super Fantastic customer service. He resolved a lock issue for me as I was traveling through Dubuque. His efforts enabled all my travel companions and myself to enjoy our trip. I trust Lowe’s appreciates Jeff’s skills and dedication to your customers. Great job Jeff.

We recently bought a washer and dryer here - we were impressed with the selection, the price and the excellent service (Phil in Appliances was wonderful!). The delivery experience was good as well.

Very organized location. I was assisted very well by employee. I tend to have bad experiences at Lowe’s but this time around I had a great experience .. keep up the amazing work

Went in need of a new washer and dryer. The selection was far greater than the other house and hardware store in the area. We had it narrowed down to 2 sets and with the the assistance of Phil (who's a Rockstar btw) we got delivery, hook up and haul away all lined up as well as set up with new accessories to replace water lines and access to hook up the water line to the dryer (the one we selected has a steam option) as well as new vent hose and clamps. And as someone who worked in retail, I know first hand how customers can be quite the waring experience, but he took the time to answer our questions while also waiting on a different customer and multi-tasked like a pro. We'll be needing a new stove and refrigerator before too long and we know exactly where we're going and what salesman we're asking for.

The staff for the most part were very helpful but when I went to check out I showed my military ID and was told they couldn't except it because I hadn't registered on line. This was like a slap in the face to all veterans

Found a large, metal garbage can with a lid, what we were looking for.
Something to keep raccoons and mice out of the bird food.

The workers were nonexistent, compared to Menards, where they are stocking shelves, and always helpful, friendly, professional and knowledgeable.
I'm happy they had what we needed, but won't be in a hurry to return.
Good parking, well lit, clean.
