What a cute little local gem!!!!

Did a workshop at Big Picture tonight and braved taking 5 littles with me to make planter pots- and what an experience. The staff were amazing, patient, and knowledgeable. The evening went smoothly and all of us can’t wait to pick up our masterpieces!

Check their website as the offerings are broad but among them are summer camps, workshops, private parties, lessons.

Fantastic place for a party! We love classes at Big Picture, and our birthday party was a great experience, start to finish. Adam was helpful answering all my questions on the planning end. Our theme wasn’t exactly typical, but Bree crafted a custom Kuromi painting lesson for the artists’ skill level. We brought decorations but didn’t really need them because the space is naturally festive. The energy and kindness Bree and Leah brought to the instruction put everyone at ease, and the party flowed so smoothly! Bonus—If you’re accident prone like I am, the space is extremely forgiving of spills! This was engaging and fun while also sensory-friendly for the sound/motion sensitive. Seated for those with mobility issues (not sure about ramp, though, and door is manual). And the focused creative activity and room arrangement eased socializing between new acquaintances! Art ftw! :)

Our kids have been going to big picture for a long time. We love the environment and the artists who let our kids have the freedom to do whatever they imagine. It’s such a fun place to have here in NL

Best birthday for our Toddler! We reached out the the studio and told them we were wanting to do a dinosaur themed party and they whipped up some ceramics for the boys to paint. The staff were so wonderful accommodating to the little ones (3-4year olds). There wasn't a dull moment. Thank you Amy! There was coloring, painting, and crafts. We did pizza from Wig and Penn since the studio shares a parking lot with them in North Liberty. Then there was cupcakes and presents. We will definitely being doing this again, but maybe for the adults! It looked like so much fun, I couldn't wait to do it myself :)

We had our daughter's 8th birthday party here and it was fantastic. The teachers made each party guest feel included and even drew a special picture for my 3 year old to paint. They truly went above and beyond!

We've done art at many places in different cities and just love Becky and Big Picture. The projects are well-designed to allow success while stretching kids' abilities. Becky is a great instructor and always seems to be adapting the operation of her business in response to parent feedback. The second time we had entered the studio she knew not just my child's name but mine as well - impressive! So glad to have this in North Liberty.

We recently had my daughter's birthday party here and it was amazing! Becky was thorough and fun to work with and all the children that attended the party loved learning from her. I would highly recommend them for parties and plan to take my daughter back for some classes as well

We booked a 6 year old birthday party here. The experience was great! She walked the kids step-by-step through the drawing and painting process. Overall, it was a successful party thanks to Big Picture Gallery!

My daughter had her 7th birthday party here. Ms. Popelka was fantastic! She guided 9 little girls through drawing and painting. When 1 girl became tearful that her picture did not turn out as she wanted, she expertly calmed her and helped her create a picture that she was quite proud of in the end. I highly recommend Big Picture Gallery & Studio and Becky Popelka.

So grateful to have Big Picture Gallery & Studio in town. Both my girls (ages 3 and 5) love coming to class with Ms. Becky. She is creative, patient, kind and makes sure to engage them. They have both been fortunate to work one-on-one with Becky and they treasure this time. The connections my older daughter has made as a result of Becky's classes are amazing. She has been begging to go to the Grant Wood museum after Becky shared information on some of Iowa's local artists with her. I would highly recommend Big Picture Gallery, it is top notch!

My oldest daughter who is 6 has taken three sessions of art classes with Becky. She has had loved going each time. Becky is wonderful with the her and really encourages her to be creative. My daughter is always excited to show me what she made/created during class. I love seeing the different ways she can be artistic and creative. We plan to do more classes in the future. Both my 6 year old and 4 year old attended birthday parties here as well and they both had so much fun. I can see a birthday party in our future here as well :)

All three of my kids have been to Big Picture (ages 7, 7, and 4), and they have all loved it! Becky is wonderful with kids and really encourages them to be creative. They treasure the fun things they bring home and always look forward to going back! We are lucky to have such a valuable resource in our community.

I've been to Big Picture twice with a group of my girlfriends; once we painted & enjoyed wine and the second time we created a mug and enjoyed hot cider! Both times were equally as fun! Becky has created such a warm, inviting and creative space to make every guest feel at home and open to connect with their individual creative minds. She encourages each participant to trust their creative instincts and to see the beauty in each work of art. Becky has a phenomenal gift and I am so happy she's sharing that gift with everyone who walks into Big Picture. I can't wait to go back again!

My 5yo daughter is obsessed with art, so when Big Picture came to town, I wanted to give it a try. We started with a three-hour workshop before signing on for a full session of classes, and although she was a little shy at drop-off, when the workshop was over, she asked my husband (who was a few minutes late picking her up), "Why did you pick me up so early, Daddy? I want to stay!" So, we knew she'd love the regular session classes, and asked for two gift certificates for Christmas from the grandmas (I like that gift certificates are an option!). My daughter has loved it so far—she is working with clay, painting, and more. Best of all, she is learning a lot about art from a patient teacher with tons of experience working with kids. I especially love that the curriculum goes for 18 months, so she can continue going to the same class for a while without ever repeating a project. I highly recommend Big Picture for your artistic little ones—and for adults, too! I've been there for a wine-and-paint night and a wooden sign workshop, both of which were fantastic and lots of fun.

Big picture is the best! Becky’s created a nurturing, kind, and creative workspace for all ages. My son had his birthday party at Big Picture this fall and she provided an age appropriate activity that had all of the kids engaged and inspired. I also attended a ceramic party in the fall and she was very kind and patient with all of us as she gave instruction and provided us with help to make our ceramic visions come to life!

Becky is such an amazing and dedicated teacher. She puts her whole heart into everything she does at the studio and making sure that every single guest and student is given the the absolute best experience. I have done 3 events at the Studio with friends and we had a blast every-time. My children take classes there and they absolutely LOVE them every-time! I would recommend Big Picture to EVERYONE!!!!! A+
