I was going from a very long hair length to a shorter shag. I showed her an inspiration picture and she talked about how she would cut the shag in a way that would work for my naturally curly hair that I often straighten. It was a bit scary going from past the middle of my back to my shoulders but I LOVE this cut. I have hair that is thinning and the way she cut my hair, you can’t tell at all. This was a great experience! Thank you!

Why be able to book on-line if they can't help you at all when you get there? I booked a 11:40 am haircut with Shawna. When I got there, she was cutting someone else's hair and I waited. She comes over around noon and tells me she behind and asks if I can come back around 3:00 pm. I asked if she was 3 hours behind? She said yes and that she needed to take a break and then she had a color to do before 3:00 pm. I asked if someone else could cut my hair in the meantime and I went to someone else. I believe her name was Courtney? She did a really nice job. I have been going to Shawna for months (possibly a year) now for my haircuts....and this is how she's going to build clients? Honestly, in the Cost Cutters world, we are all a dime a dozen.

I scheduled an appointment over the phone a few weeks ago but I can't find the anyway to book without going online and I have to many pointless accounts already so I guess I'm trying to say I'm disappointed I have to find a more customer friendly place to get my daughter's haircut

One and done for me. Hairstylist was nice but messed up my bangs and when she asked what i thought I say little shorter please and did two snips on my bangs and now they are uneven and to short in the middle to fix and then she called it done. I'm never stepping in there again, just wish I could get a refund but out of town for a week.

Update: Weeks after my review, I was asked to email them to find a resolution. Sent email the next day and haven't heard anything back. Was willing to hear them out and give them a second chance depending on their resolution, but definitely will not waste my time. They obviously don't care about customer service.

I went in for a scissor cut. The hair stylist was professional and courteous. The final cut was sloppy, side burns are at different lengths, and the hair above the ear was cut too high on one side.

Worst service ever! Signed in for a hair cut. Two people working! One dying someone's hair, the other doing a hair cute. Waited 15 minutes. When the one who finished cutting hair, told me to wait for the other who was still dying hair for her customer! I left the shop and went to another business! It was not Cost Cutters! I will never go there again! I am tempted to call their corporate office! Worst employee's ever!

I have always enjoyed my visits to the North Liberty location but last night I happen to be in town and decided a trim was necessary. It was my first time meeting the new manager and having her tame my mane. For my very simple style (mid back length, stick straight, no layers, no fuss, ie i wash/condition, throw in leave-in on the ends and walk out the door to brush later and throw in a braid), she satisfied my every request. I may not "style" my hair but I am very picky how the final snip will lay. Her knowledge of product was top notch and she was able to recommend for my hair type from real references (if her mom is satisfied and has a very similar texture to mine, I'm going with mom). Overall enjoyable evening and look forward to my future trims.

I highly recommend Brad! a week ago I got my hair done and it was terrible! I didnt want to be Karen and complain but I HATED it. The color didnt even reach my roots. So I called and I'm so happy I did! He fixed my color and my cut plus made my hair soft and shiney again! I'm loving the color!🥰

I usually get haircuts from here, and I’m pretty happy with the haircut I get about 80% of the time. Don’t get a haircut from the lady with pink hair, I’ve never gotten a worse cut.

I'll admit that I was very hesitant to get my haircut here but I was pleasantly surprised with how great they were. My stylist was Chrstine. She has 10+ years of experience and made me feel comfortable chopping off my long hair for a cute stacked Bob! She is great. Honestly, I'd choose her over someone at a high dollar salon any day! Loved her and love my new hair! The only reason this wasn't a 5 star review was because one girl was focused on dawdling until she was off instead of taking the next customer that came in for a quick trim.

I used to go here as a kid to get a hair cut. I just moved back to the area and decided i would try it out. The first time they did my hair it did not turn out how i wanted it and the stylist kept saying it looked fine even tho we both know it didnt. I decided i would come back 6 weeks later and let her help me fix it for half off. I called in to make the appointment and was placed on hold for over 30 mins after telling the lady what i was calling about. Ive called 2 hours later after hanging up and the phone is still busy like they just never came back on the line. There are a bunch of inexperienced kids that are in college that work here and have no motivation to make you look beautiful, just hurry you out the chair and over charge you. I will never be coming back to this place until they get some better working people that care about their customers and the outcome of the work they do. If you dont take pride in your job, dont work at a hair salon!!!
