I recently visited Ace Hardware in Cedar Rapids and was thoroughly impressed with their selection. Not only did they have the 5-gallon buckets I was in search of, but I also found the "drop in the bucket mouse traps" that I couldn't seem to find elsewhere. It's clear to me that they prioritize stocking essentials and some unique items, ensuring that customers leave satisfied. The staff was friendly and helpful, making my shopping experience even better. I appreciate local businesses like Ace Hardware that offer great products with top-notch service. Highly recommend!

Great place to stop in if you need any tools ASAP. Though they don't have everything that a big hardware store would have such as a Lowe's or a Menards they make up for it with their discount rewards program and accessibility.

A++ in service they have a very friendly staff. I think a new owner took over a few years ago (not positive), but the store has more options now and is more well organized they have really improved. I love it bc its so convenient when I don't want to run all the way to Lowes 👏👏👏

Upon entering this business, I was greeted and asked if I needed help finding anything. This is something I've always liked about ACE Hardware. I asked for lag bots, among other things. Aisle 4, the cashier said. I searched Aisle 4. ZERO lag bolts. No problem. I found what I wanted in Aisle 5, but needed to retrieve an item from my vehicle to check the size. Went out, got the item, came back. I was asked again if I needed help. I mentioned I found the lag bolts I wanted in Aisle 5. The cashier ignored what I said and decided to instruct me to now go to Aisle 6 because I told him I was looking for individual, not packaged bolts. Remember, ZERO lag bolts in Aisle 4, where he originally sent me. I knew what I wanted and where it was so I dismissed that instruction. Then came time to pay. I was asked if I found everything I needed, I said I did in Aisle 5. (certainly not Aisle 4, where he originally sent me, and certainly not Aisle 6 that he told me only after I told him I found what I needed Aisle 5.) The cashier then made the decision to dial up the pettiness by declaring (paraphrasing here) "Well, of course you found them in Aisle 5, those are the stainless ones."

This review is not about the cashier being initially wrong, which he was. This review is not about the cashier ignoring what I said the second time around, which he did. This is about terrible customer service provided by this cashier during the checkout process. Declaring that he was not incorrect (even though he initially was,) and that I was somehow in the wrong because I did not tell him exactly what version of a product I wanted. This poor experience was compounded by his not asking me if I am a member of ACE rewards, an issue I had to bring up so he would take my number. And pretending to not understand when I asked for a manager (multiple times.) I'm raising this as an issue because it is something I feel should be addressed. I made a manager aware of the situation so I hope it will. And also because receiving snotty customer service over lag bolt locations (regardless of type) is not something I go to ACE Hardware for.

Pull up at 4:50 on a Sunday (online says close at 5) and they are closed and 2 employees just stare at me through the window. If your not going to be open during your posted business hours update the hours.

I really love this little store. The gas station area is never busy and can always get gas super fast. I can run here to get basic painting, plumbing, electrical equipment super fast rather than running all the way down to Coralville to get it. The paint selection is actually really great. And I can bring my dog in with me and he gets a treat! Other reviews have mentioned bad customer service but I've never had bad customer service here. I once went looking for a wrench there that I was sure I was not going to find, and sure enough they had it! No complaints from me. Super convenient for the North Liberty community to have.

The store is nice enough and has a nice selection, but there was an unfriendly employee who glared at my daughter and I throughout the store, and seemed to be following us for a while. It was extremely uncomfortable, and I really didn’t care for the experience.

Called to ask if they sell a type of item before making a 15min drive into town. The man on the phone was very unfriendly and when I tried to tell him thank you for the information (they didn't have what I needed) he hung up on me. I won't be going there for anything else I might need in the future after that experience. 🤷‍♀️

Wish there was a negative or 0 stars button! We were not greeted, when asking a person for help he was very cold and not well informed about the store. Cashier was not friendly at all at times seemed angry to be working.Will not return!!.
