Such n awesome little shop with lots on display from local artists. I was there to purchase a copper bracelet from local artisan Marie C. Wrist pain? — Get One! My daughter who is two was with me and the ladies working in the shop were so nice and welcomed us with such graciousness.

Not only is it a super cute boutique, but the employees are so incredibly nice! We went into the shop looking for a specific pillow we had bought a little over a year ago, as our puppy ripped it apart a few months ago. The woman working was unable to find the pillow in stock, but exchanged numbers with us for when they were back in stock. Only about 20min later while we were at dinner she texted us to tell us she had found two in storage! She had already closed the shop for the day, but was next door and gladly came back over to the store to get the pillow to us. Not only did she get the pillow for us, she gave it to us for free!! She sympathized with how frustrating it is when puppies rip stuff apart and wanted us to have it at no charge. Thank you SO much! Amazing customer service and amazing store, can’t recommend it enough!

Very cute store and found some great items! Love that there’s a variety and that most items are handmade. Store is actually a lot bigger than it looks and a great place to find unique items and souvenirs from Annapolis. They have another store at the mall but this one seems to have a lot cooler items.

This is my go-to shop for gifts throughout the year. Local By Design always has a wide selection of beautiful items, from art to jewelry to housewares - even artisanal food and items for pets! It's a fun shopping experience and a great way to support local.

Worth a visit! Huge variety of local products and not the tacky craft stuff that you sometimes see at these types of stores. Beautiful artwork to be had!

Waited outside main street location to open, about 30 min.
When employee arrived to unlock door, I was not greeted w/ "Good morning" or "Thanks for waiting, I'll be right w/ you". What I got was just a stare & a short" You need something?" She left to find parking, which is & always will be A HUGH inconvience for all during the holidays. Once door was open, employee barling spoke to me, made me feel unwelcome. Forunately, I knew exactly what I wanted, made purchase & left. I will NEVER go back.
I'm all about shop local/ shop small, but I was totally put off by lack of basic customer service.

We walked in at 6:10 on a Saturday. Just checking out the store for the first time. The manager at the register was pleasant and welcoming. After looking around the first floor, she suggested we check out upstairs too. When we left at 635 we realized the store closed at 6. We were "those people" but instead of kicking us out, we were encouraged to look more. Great customer service even for those of us who can't read signs.

Great spot for real Maryland. If you want gifts or souvineers from your visit, this is the spot unique quaint and beautiful. A must stop to find keepsakes without a made in China label!
