My husband and I tried this restaurant for the first time this morning. We were seated promptly upon entering the restaurant. The restaurant is very clean and inviting.

After we had been sitting down for no more than two or three minutes, our waitress, Nikki, was over to offer us coffee while we looked at the menu. She was very pleasant and personable.

I ordered these strawberry crêpes. When I ordered, Nikki asked if I would like any sizes and when I asked her how large the crêpes were, she said it would be very filling and so I opted not to get any size. She was correct! The portion was huge.

My husband ordered the chicken tenders and waffles. He is a bit of a chicken and waffle snob so he prefers chicken thighs over chicken tenders, but if the breading and flavoring is decent, it helps make up for it. He said that the breading was very crispy, but could have used a little bit more flavoring.

The menu has a lot on it!
So, we will definitely be back to try out some of the other options that they have.

If you like pancakes, and the other usual breakfast fare, you’ll definitely want to check them out.

My wife wanted crepes and there are a few places closer to my house but she always wants to return here.

It's one of the few places I know of that serves FRESH SQUEEZED OJ. Yes, it is a game changer...

The breakfast here is priced reasonably, but the food is fresh, as often as we come here, never a complaint.

My wife has tried most of their crepe offerings and loves them all. I, on the other hand, have tried their french toast, pancakes, crepes, and omelets and can say they are all excellent.

Even though I usually order pancakes, today I switched and got the western omelette and crispy bacon! OMG the omelette said four eggs, what it actually was - was eight eggs! It was enough to share! As always the service was excellent! Highly recommend, just make sure you’re hungry. The wife had the cinnamon pancakes which as usual they were excellent.

I eat at a lot of breakfast joints because I love breakfast and brunch! And being a chef, I expect certain things to be cooked a certain way, and properly. And eating at the original pancake House, I’m rarely disappointed. I’m always looking for that special place. This is my wife’s favorite restaurant out of any place. We’ve eaten so far. They give you more than you can imagine to eat and there’s always some to take home. The waffles are cooked perfectly. The pancakes are thick and tender. The omelettes are huge and baked, which makes them a very unique dish compared to regular omelettes that are rolled. I really can’t say anything negative about this place… Except that occasionally if you get something that isn’t as you expected, just have them send it back they will make sure it’s perfect when they bring it out. And don’t forget, free refills on coffee! So drink up! Now, in writing this, I’m not sure if I already did a review… I thought I had but maybe I didn’t. This is an accumulation of several visits over the past few months or so. I try to get something different every time I go so I can have different photos to showcase. But you know when you have a favorite joint you always get your favorites.

I received a coupon in the mail for 20% off of breakfast, so I invited my friend to join me on Sunday morning. We sat as soon as we entered, and our waitress didn't take long to greet us. There were so many items to choose from, which made it very hard to make a decision. I decided on French Toast topped with apples and cinnamon with a side of turkey bacon. The French toast was light and fluffy, and the turkey bacon was as crispy as it could be. My only issue is that the cooked apples still had skin on it. I still enjoyed it, but removing the skin would have been nice. I can't wait to return to try the steak and eggs.

Great breakfast/brunch place! Loved the sausage and sausage gravy. Food prices were consistent but drinks were a bit pricey. $6 for an orange juice or lemonade in a small mug. Will stick with water next time. Overall, well worth it!

Disappointingly Delicious? So, here s the scoop : The Pancake House on the outer edge of Annapolis Mall is definitely a unique spot. Honestly, I wasn t expecting regular diner vibes given the location, but I was ready to dive in. First up, let s talk hot chocolate. A solid 10 out of 10. Their homemade cream marshmallow fluff? Heavenly. I could eat a whole bowl of that magic and be totally content! (Just warning you, the hot chocolate comes with a lil burn, but if you add some sugar, you ll be just fine.) Now the food. I decided to go big and ordered sweet potato pancakes (because who doesn t love sweet potatoes?!), sausage, egg whites, and potatoes. Let s just say the sweet potato pancakes let me down. They looked fluffy and drizzled to perfection, but the cinnamon flavor I craved? M.I.A. The texture had promise, but the taste was just not it. The sausage? No clue what type of meat that was, but it didn t do me any favors. Honestly, I couldn t even finish the meal. I even sampled someone else s waffle, and yikes. Felt like the same pancake batter dyed a different color and dressed up with a dash of something. Overall? The presentation saved the meal from being a complete wash, but as for flavor, I d have to rate it a 3.5 out of 10. The visuals were A+, but execution? Could use some serious work. Sadly, I ll only be back for that marshmallow-topped hot chocolate and that s it. Fingers crossed they work out the kinks and deliver a breakfast as good as it looks!

Not sure how this place has such good reviews. We dined in on a Saturday afternoon and there were about 4 tables with patrons, including us. The owners son was seating guests who came in. He confirmed there were just two of us, grabbed menus and silverware, and quickly walked off without saying anything else so we weren t even sure if we should follow him at first. He needs to communicate more. The table was sticky and there was food on the bench of the booth. Ordered sweet tea which tasted like watered down, diet tea. My partner and I both ordered omelettes with pancakes and home fries. This is the only place I ve ever eaten at where none of the food comes out together or when it s supposed to, so that was super frustrating. Our pancakes came out first and at that time we were told the omelettes were just now going in the oven (why would you start the pancakes first when they cook fastest?). 5 minutes later, my partner s omelette is brought to the table, but not mine, and the waitress makes no mention of it. I continue to wait another 5 minutes at which point I m now worried that mine was forgotten, so I ask about my omelette and our missing home fries. All is immediately brought out and while my omelette was hot and clearly fresh out of the oven, the home fries were cold (clearly forgotten about) and so were our pancakes that had now been sitting around 10 minutes waiting for omelettes. We got Georgia pecan and Hawaiian pancakes. Both tasted bland, like flour with cheap add-ins (pecans & watery, canned pineapples) so we were super disappointed in those. The omelettes, while a huge portion, also lacked flavor, but the hot sauce at the table spiced them up a bit. The cold home fries were well seasoned but not great since we didn t get them while hot. Honestly, we ve made WAY better breakfast like this at home. The less than $60 bill for our food was spot-on with the poor quality. While the reviews seem good, the place being empty every time I come to the mall speaks for itself. I wouldn t recommend this spot and will not be returning, although our waitress Cori was pleasant and attentive.

Service is top notch! Owner usually walks around makes sure everyone is happy and set. The food is super delicious and very high quality and portions are huge. Coffee is really good, piping hot and fresh. This has become a regular spot and we take friends and family there when they visit. 100% recommend it.

We stumbled upon this OPH about a year ago and were a little weary because our original OPH was in jersey and it didnt disappoint. We were happy to see that the Annapolis restaurant was outstanding as well. Today we took some friends back and again the food was delicious. But the real difference maker today was our server/waitress. Cait! From the first introduction to the final enjoy the rest of your day was amazing. She was friendly, on top of all of the orders even with their idiosyncrasies, funny, warm and regularly checked on us. Annapolis you have a great restaurant with great food and a real gem in Cait. Kay also worked on our table and they were both awesome. You better treat them like they treat your costumers.

I visited the Annapolis branch earlier this morning to have breakfast. The store was pretty much empty but the staff still took a very long time to get to me. It took a long time for me to get seated My server was a lady who was not attentive and didn t check up on me to see if I needed anything. It took 10 minutes till I got my drinks. I spent an hour there just to have breakfast. The food was good, but the staff needs to be more responsible, For a luxurious breakfast place you d expect much better service.

First time here. The freshly squeezed orange juice was the best item we had. We ordered the southwestern omelette with a side of pancakes. The pancakes were basic, nothing special. Omelette was pretty good. Husband ordered the Benedict Micheal. The hollandaise sauce was very thick, one egg was runny while the other was overcooked. Food came out lukewarm. We wont be back because of better breakfast options in the area for the same price, if not cheaper. Our server was friendly and helpful.

I ate here once or twice a week during my entire pregnancy last year so much so that when I delivered the baby at Luminis Health Anne Arundel Medical Center my manager brought me a meal from there. This food is GOOD!!! My favorite meal was the French toast with bacon and home fries with orange juice. Sounds basic but it hit the spot every time.

The staff work hard and we are always patient and polite because of it - we came for the first time early for a Sunday breakfast (which can be tough) and left very happy. Got the French toast and the Pigs In A Blanket on special. Will definitely be back! If you want a basic breakfast place. No glitz and glamour and you just want to get down with some good old fashion cooking, come on down to The Original Pancake House. Great service and great food. I had the Hawaiian Pancakes with huge pineapple chunks, creamy grits, scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese, thick slices of bacon and hash browns. So good. Free refills on teas and coffees. Plus it is affordable. I ll definitely will be back.

We had an exceptional server who was attentive. Drinks were always filled and I did not have to wait to ask for anything. The food was served hot and was good. Nice thick bacon. Delicious whipped cream. Pancakes were hearty. Big serving sizes, even when it comes to the kids meals. Parking: Restaurant is on/near the outside of the mall, park right outside, walk in the double doors and there is an entrance right there.

The food is absolutely phenomenal. I had the Meat Lovers omelet, and having the omelet baked is a definite game changer. I also had the strawberry pancakes. Absolutely delicious. My son ordered the apple pancakes, and it was like a pie. He barely looked up as he ate. The grits were to die for. They are made with heavy whipping cream. If you are old school with grits, then they are for you. The whipped cream is homemade and a must-have. The portions are great. There is plenty to take home. My wife and I have known the owner for almost 9 years. Hes a great person. He has a warm personality and is great to talk to. This place is amazing ! Lets start with the food, they have paintings on the wall with their food and it looks delicious! I ordered the coconut pancakes and my mom ordered the eggs Benedict. The coconut pancakes were perfect! They also sided with tropical syrup which I believe had pineapple, either way it was delicous! The eggs benedict was also good. The service was perfect, the waiters were nice. The atmosphere was also good, they decor and colors of this place matched the breakfast-pancake theme-, not many people came in and I am surprised! This place has delicious food! Also you can come during average dinner times which is fun. Anyways this place is a 5/5 stars, would choose this over any place Vegetarian options: Not many vegetarian options but still good Kid-friendliness: They have a kids and senior menu, kids under 12 and seniors over 55!

I have been here twice now (back-to-back Sundays). I rarely do this but I am giving TOPH 5 stars. Here is why: 1. Every part of the Stuffed Strawberry Crepes is amazing - the strawberry cream cheese filling, the fresh strawberries on top, the strawberry drizzle, and the thick homemade whipped creme were all amazing! Unfortunately, I forgot to take pics until I had already crushed 2 of the three crepes. I saved that bad boy for later! 2. The next week I got the meat skillet and there was no skimping here! Thick-cut bacon, chunks of ham, and sausage the size of a quarter and one the side? French toast! We will definitely be back!

We made our first stop here recently. The place was nice, lots of tables and booths. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I ordered the 2-2-3, 2 eggs, 2 bacon, and 3 of their famous pancakes. My over-easy eggs were not quite done enough for me, whites still runny, the bacon was crispy, and the pancakes were delightful.

We decided to go here because the wait at the Cheesecake Factory was too long. There was no wait time and were promptly seated. This is always a blessing when shopping with young children in tow. Our server was very friendly and thorough in explaining items on the menu. The food was delicious. I m a sucker for pecan waffles and these do not disappoint! Beverages are on the pricier side at $3.50 for soda which is served by the bottle. The mugs are fun to drink out of and the coffee mugs are for sell.

Deviated from my normal brunch spot to check out TOPH and was not impressed. I opted for my usual, 2x2x3 (eggs, meat, pancakes) as I thought this was pretty simple and safe. I was wrong. The scrambled eggs was ok. The bacon was good, not flimsy and fatty. The worse though were the pancakes. They looked good but they were TERRIBLE tasting. They were bland with an awful almost vinegary aftertaste and the syrup was thin, watery and flavorless. The server that cleared our table didnt even inquire why we didnt eat most of our food just took it away. Well, I tried but I definitely wont be back. If the pancakes are bad at TOPH, theres no way Im trying anything else. This will not be a return stop on my places to go for breakfast. Service, the hostess was timely in seating us and the server was available and responsive but not very attentive. The atmosphere was in line with whatd be expected for this type of establishment. Easily accessible from inside the mall, plenty sitting and clean. Parking: Its at the mall near Cheesecake Factory; plenty parking.

Was heading to the mall and wanted something to eat, saw they had a OPH and stopped in to see what its about. Cait was our waitress and she is absolutely delightful, she is so knowledgeable about their food and convinced me to get the omlette. I picked the shrimp omlette and it is fantastic!! Weve been eating at & enjoying The Original Pancake House for over 30 years in several states. A few weeks ago I noticed there was a new location nearby in Annapolis, MD and immediately told my husband. After looking at there menu I was sad to notice my favorite breakfast wasnt on the menu. I noticed the ask a question on the website & did. The next day, I was told it was no problem to make the spinach crepes I love, just ask. When we went that Saturday, I looked at the menu & read so many more items than the other OPH locations in the area. I finally decided to try the Meat Lover Omelet & it was delicious! My husband had the Western Skillet and made a special request of the waitress after she delivered it. She said they didnt have the sauce he wanted & went to get him a substitute, but she came back with the one he wanted. It became an request only option that very morning. He loved his choice also & told me we could come back often. The server was great & I had noticed the manager & spoke with him. He remembered my online spinach crepe request earlier in the week & again, said it could be made & would I like an order to go home. I didnt take him up on that, but promised to come back soon. Looking so forward to it & Im wondering if Ill have the spinach crepes or one of the other items that the other local shops dont offer.YUM!

My server s name was Hailey who put up with our group of six teenagers and was ever so kind. I got the coconut pancakes which were a solid 8/10 but I was disappointed that there was no whipping cream with it because I did get to try it- and it was delicious. It was like cool whip and starbuck s cold foam had a baby. Absolutely banging. Would totally come here again!

That Black Girl From Baltimore (our waitress) was awesome! So much fun and a fantastic server. Id returned for that reason alone. Lol but, I liked everything else as well. Great menu. Nice place. I highly recommend! You wont regret it! (Edited to add photos. Pardon the lack of quality as I was a bit rushed. .bmh his was literally in my top 2 fav omelets ever. It was so HUGE I took it home and had more than 2 more meals out of it the next day! And the avocados were literally perfectly ripe. Thats not easy in November!

Good food with very big portions and reasonable prices. Our service was also fast and polite. The one improvement they could make is to get rid of the cheesy pictures and replace them with Annapolis, Maryland pictures of the Chesapeake Bay, the Naval Academy, and sailing. Just the pancake house I have been looking for my entire adult life. The 49er pancake is thin and gooey just like my Mom used to make. I have never had a better pancake, ever. I requested crisp bacon and it arrived cooked to perfection! My server was smiling, friendly, and attentive. Oh....to top it off the coffee was delicious. I look forward to coming back again.

I will never patronize the original pancake house go to ihop or iron roaster I witness the worst bullying of my life the original pancake house in Boston street . I hope that young lady sues the business if she loses her job for being threaten . Disgusting behavior from a server I was sitting on a booth next to the computer she was telling her co worker violent threats you could tell her co worker was petrified and crying . The manager did nothing !!!!! I will never step a foot in that business let a damn person on this earth talk to me like that and it is allowed by the owner the young lady needs to sue the company ! The atmosphere is typical of a family friendly diner. People bring their young children, so if baby sounds bother you, youll want to prepare yourself. My favorite place to eat pancakes!! Excellent service, very attentive and always plenty of food!!! Ask for Katelyn!! Food always comes out fast and hot. My family usually goes to the Baltimore location which is excellent as well but we are happy to have a location closer to home and less traffic. BOTH locations are way better than Rockville hands down!!!
