There seems to be a lack of breakfast places in Naptown. I guess on a positive note is not as bad as chicks. Ordered the breakfast burrito which was 90 percent rice, not even good rice. Who the heck puts rice in a breakfast burrito let alone almost all rice? Coffee not great. Inside smelled of rotting beer. Seems like they probably pay out the nose for the location as a tourist trap and then have to go super low quality/cheap on food. I think nap-town deserves a nice diner, decades overdue.

Alfresco dinning for a late morning breakfast right on the Market Square! Though very busy, our midweek visit was perfect, with no wait for a table. My husband and cousin indulged in delectable Bloody Marys--almost too beautiful to take apart and enjoy! Everyone enjoyed the meals--mine was one of the Bennys with Fried Green Tomatoes!! We came on a Saturday morning for breakfast and the place was packed. We chose to sit outside and, as it was just two of us, we re immediately seated at a bistro table. The outdoor seating has a great view of the harbor. There was a bit of a wait for the server to arrive but she apologized and we had our order ready to go. Our drinks came out quickly. The Irish wake up call was yummy and my partner had the apple pie mimosa which they thoroughly enjoyed. Our food came out very quickly, which more than made up for the longer than expected wait for the server to arrive. We split the chicken Benny, which is a good thing, because it was a LOT of food. Everything about the dish was absolutely delicious. The chicken was seasoned well and very moist, the eggs were cooked to perfection, and the biscuit was flaky. 100% recommend and will visit again the next time we re in the area.

We are on vacation and to the Iron Rooster in Annapolis during the boat show. The place was hopping and tons of help, but a very long wait for food. And we got the wrong order, and the new waitress did not want to listen to us that it was wrong so she just placed it on the table and left. They serve breakfast all day and a fun list of crush drinks. We had a mix of burgers and breakfast for our orders. Overall good place to sit and eat. There is a ton of outdoor seating as well.

Breakfast on the second floor, the drinks arrived fast and were tasting. The chicken and waffles came and the chicken had great flavor as well as the gravy, but the waffle was moist and soft and could not hold up to the chicken and gravy. The second meal all the meats were cooked perfectly, but the eggs had to be done more than once as the whites came raw, after asking specifically to make sure the whites were done, the server did a great job. We will be back to try other dishes.

Our group of six had a terrific brunch here last week. The food we ordered was varied but all received high marks. The coffee was not as great as reported by the server. Really recommend management rethink its approach to this.

An excellent brunch spot for any number of people. We went on a Tuesday morning/early afternoon so it was mostly empty. The service was excellent. Our waitress had the biggest brightest smile while serving us. She was never too far to answer any questions or to make sure everything was going well. A+ Food was excellent. The pancakes were so fluffy. Definitely recommend getting a topping though as the pancakes soak up the syrup so fast because it is pretty lite. Bacon was cooked perfectly crispy and egg whites were also well done. We also got a half waffle and scrapple which were also nicely cooked. Parking can be troublesome due to location but thats to be expected in downtown Annapolis. Prices are only slightly above average from what we have experienced. All in all we would go back to try the chicken and other options!

Heres my honest review: Location You cant beat this location. Right up the bottom of downtown Annapolis with tons of shops and walking areas nearby. Right across the street from the water and right next to the naval academy Price I think the prices are extremely fair for the level of customer service and quality of food you get Ambiance I love eating outdoors when I come here. I think being able to sit outside and truly get the Annapolis atmosphere. Music and people and hustle and bustle Drinks I love to get the champagne bottle with the orange juice bottle because that allows everybody at the table to make the properly proportioned mimosa they desire Recommendation I always recommend people go here. This is one of my favorite comfort spots growing up. I always recommend that you get their homemade Pop-Tarts. Food The food is always amazing. I always tell people to either get the big breakfast bowl or get the quesadillas. Obviously you have to get their Pop-Tarts and you really cant go wrong with anything on the menu. Customer Service this please gives me homely vibes. They run like a Mom and Pop even though they are a chain around Maryland. I think that they treat everyone like family. They are very accommodating. Last time I went I came in last minute with a group of eight and they were able to see those all near each other instantly which is unheard of on a busy liberty weekend for the academy

Our waitness was super nice! However, the food was so bad. We regret going to this restaurant primarily because we ordered a meatloaf that had bbq sauce straight from a bottle and a chicken dish with crab and cheese where the cheese has a bitter taste as if it were old. In addition I ordered loaded mashes potatoes and they were so cold because they had just been removed from the freezer... They were the box kind. I spent 120$ on two dishes and an appetizer. It was more than I could afford.

Disappointing Experience I recently dined at Iron Rooster in Annapolis and was underwhelmed by my experience. While the service was impressively fast, the presence of numerous flies due to the open front doors was a major turn-off. I recently visited Annapolis for the first time. As per usual, I enjoy trying local establishments and local dishes. A former boss of mine recommended this place and, per custome, I had the cakes on cakes (crab cakes on pancakes). The price was ok for the size of the portion. I even had their roostarts - their version of a pop-tart. They are bigger than you think, so dont let your eyes be bigger than your stomach. Once youre done, you are steps away from the docks, the marina, and even a few steps walk to the state capital.

Iron Rooster has received a lot of high praise, but Im not entirely sure why. Here s my take: The Good: Quality Ingredients: The food seems to be made with high-quality ingredients, which is always a plus. Friendly Staff: The people here are quite friendly, which makes for a pleasant dining experience. All-Day Menu: The menu, although limited, is available all day. This makes it a convenient spot to visit at any time. The Not So Good: Parking: Parking is limited to 2-hour paid spots on the roadside. You need to download an app to pay, which can be a hassle. Cost: The prices are on the higher side, which might not be justifiable for everyone. Service: The servers seem to be mostly junior staff, guided by more experienced seniors. This can affect the service quality at times. Accessibility: There is no ramp for strollers or wheelchairs, which is a significant oversight. Overall: Its a decent place with some good qualities, but the high ratings might set first-timers up for higher expectations.

I honestly do not know what all the fuss is about this place. It is overpriced and not anything special in my estimation. An iced coffee with nothing but ice cubes and black coffee is $4.50. Two eggs, two pancakes, and two sausage links is close to $20.00. There were little sugar ants on the table, and that shouldn t be the case if you re charging $20.00 for eggs. I understand we are in the city, but the cost for a typical nothing-fancy breakfast with some dry pancakes is just not something worth $120.00. Yes. We spent $120.00 for four people for breakfast. The server was very nice, though, so five stars for her.

I had high expectations for this place bit ultimately, the food was mediocre while the prices were extravagant. Went there for dinner and while the server did a great job, the food should have been better. I ordered a fried chicken sandwich but the chicken was dry and was fairly bland. I smothered it in hot sauce and ketchup to add some taste and moisture. I dont even remember tasting the garlic aioli. At $17, not much value. What was really surprising was the lack of a grilled chicken entree that didnt mean adding chicken to a salad. Kids ordered the French toast and waffles. Although not listed on the menu, they added this imitation cinnamon butter that tasted horrible. Lastly, I was hoping to save the meal with a chocolate chip brownie sundae. The brownie tasted like one of the cheap brownies that comes pre-packaged at 7/11.... Spending nearly $30 a person for this meal.... not worth it. Hopefully it was just an off night for their kitchen staff.

I had the basic two egg, bacon, slice of rye toast and fruit cup. All were terrific. We returned the next morning and had an order of pancakes and French Toast with side of bacon and fruit since it was so fresh the day prior. The French toast was perfectly crispy on the exterior and so fluffy on the inside. Pancakes were light and very tasty. The wait staff were all very attentive and service was quick. I was initially told there would be a 10-minute wait, despite the restaurant not being very busy. After 15 minutes, I noticed several people arriving and being seated before me, so I decided to check on my wait status with the host. When I asked how much longer the wait would be, the host responded dismissively, saying, I dont know. People are enjoying the weather, and I dont know how long it will be. Maybe 30 minutes? The complete lack of empathy for a guest waiting longer than promised is unacceptable. I had hoped their service had improved over the years, but the same rude and indifferent behavior I experienced previously confirmed that I will not be returning to this restaurant.

Breakfast lovers this is the place!! Plenty of seating, outside seating with a tent, and to go options the food speaks for itself. Usually a 20 minute wait time during busy hours. Our group indulged in chicken and waffles. Pop tarts are house made and flavors depends on the day. We mistakenly got a wrong tart but the staff was sweet and let us try it. The brown sugar was heavenly, the wild berry seems to be the most popular, and the strawberry was an awakening.

We had brunch here and the food was just great! If you do stop in you have got to try the candied bacon! The breakfast flatbread was great, but the standout was the salmon avocado toast!

No lie, the strawberry cheesecake pop-tarts are amazing. I ate breakfast here with my girlfriend, took two home, and I destroyed them...My partner didnt even have a chance. :D I think my servers name was Alex. He was nice too! Im bad at social interactions so I apologize if I was weird to him.

Came into this place on a whim, reviews looked pretty good. It didn t live up to the hype though, the first thing I noticed was that it was extremely cold in there. We moved tables, but it seems like the insulation wasn t the best. The crab fries were pretty alright, but the chicken Benedict was not desirable in my opinion. The biscuit it came on was hard, but the breast was ok. The Mac and Cheese, however, was the best thing I had there. My friend got the pasta, she said it wasn t very flavorful and that the chicken seemed like it didn t have a lot of seasoning and was a bit chewy.

I was in Annapolis for some early morning business and decided to see what was open locally for dinner (Im a third shift kind of person). Overall reviews recommended Iron Rooster. Their menu says all day breakfast, and listed items for lunch and dinner. What it actually means, after asking, is that their whole menu is served all hours of the day, which is perfect for me. I ordered the rockfish and crab with sauteed spinach as a side, then a strawberry shortcake tart (not a poptart, better) for dessert. The food is honestly worth the price, good size servings and every bite is so good. Make sure to order a coffee to cleanse your palette with every bite, cause its really good. The tart is also -very- rich in flavor. Service was smooth and quick, no issues there. Wheelchair accessibility: Theres outdoor seating (weather provided) and Ground level indoor dining. The restrooms, however, are on the second floor, via stairs.

Tasty food and a neat atmosphere. My only complaint is that they use plastic straws. I ordered coffee and got two of those tiny staws brought with it. It just seems like a needless waste. Even if they are compostable, there is still the waste in production, transport, and the commercial compost facilities. All when I could have just stirred my coffee with a spoon.

Had breakfast recently. The place was really busy, but we got a nice table in the street eating area. Nice umbrella for a sunny day. Breakfast was really nice, but on the expensive side. Parking: You need to use your phone to pay for parking.

The service was not as expected. It was very slow, even though it wasnt crowded. We waited for quite some time to get our order taken. When I walked to find staff to tell them weve been sitting for a while and our order was not taken, their response was, its not their section and theyll find our server.

Cant complain. We decided to go there cause I had heard so much about it, and it lives up to its reputation. So glad we did. The menu is vast really does give you a variety of options for breakfast. I started with a bloody Mary, which was very good. Then I got the California club omelette, it was big and filled with to brim with goodies and topped with guacamole. My husband got Chicken and french toast. This item can with homemade hot sauce and syrup. My husband could not stop raving about this dish. My server was very nice and responsive. Seating is ok, especially for Annapolis. Parking is mostly a miss. This restaurant should be saved to your must go list, I promise you wont be disappointed.
