I ordered the Whiting fish meal with two sides ; the two sides being collard greens and macaroni and cheese with a Large Tea/Lemonade 🍋 mix and banana pudding; the banana pudding had no bananas in it, just the pudding and soggy wafer cookies ( not grandma's recipe but it was alright). The fish was phenomenal and is the reason that I'm rating them five stars . On the other hand , I didn't care for the collard greens or macaroni and cheese (this could be due to biased taste buds) , there's a specific taste that I go for when eating greens and macaroni and cheese and the taste preference depends on where the cooks of these dishes originate . It wasn't nasty just not to my liking. That fish 🐟 though ... OMG!!! I'll definitely be ordering from there again , I'll try different sides next time .

Idk what steroids they use for their chicken but even Dolly Parton would be a little jealous. Everything is made fresh but for out of towners who want to try mambo sauce it is a DC ONLY DELICACY, not DC Metro Area.

Happened to come to this Hiphop twice in the morning. It takes long for them to be %100 ready for the day after they open their restaurant. Mac& Cheese was not ready until 11:30 am. Taste was also a bit off compared to other Hiphops i like to go. Hope they get themselves fully on the track. Still, best wishes.

They gave me spoiled fish. The fish was so bad as soon as I opened the bag I gagged. I usually check my food before I leave but I was in a rush, upon bringing the food all the way back because I paid 30$ for 2 trout meals; they wouldnt give me a full refund although I didnt want any of the fish. I had only eaten the mac & cheese but they ended up giving me 15$ back after some arguing. Be carful here; they going get somebody sick smh

I have been visiting this establishment for the past 7 years and today I was treated horrible. I only purchased the chicken today because it is my son’s birthday and we have guest at the house. I had the 3 wings which were little hen wings that I didn't appreciate. The fried okra and clams were good. They're really what I had come for. I had a side salad when once opened there were browned lettuce that I needed to dispose of.

I called to make a large order for my daughters baby shower and the guy was rude. I called and he hung up twice, one time he put me on hold while he was discussing a funeral with another guy. I called again and I said you hung up on me he stated, "what do you want ma'am" as if I was bothering him!!! Well you lost out on my business. You lack professionalism and common courtesy. Try answering the phone with the franchise name and not just hello as if you are home. I will not recommend this location.

This hip hop restaurant was consistent with the others i have visited earlier. The freshness of the fish and chicken was immaculate however the sprinkle of salt sweet mix over everything was a bit toooo much for me . This place has a potential to be very big due to the freshness/quantity ratio . But guys cut back on some of the special seasoning .
