Used to be run well. Now it's not worth going in. I get that the company is in trouble and will be closing many stores, but besides them upping the prices from $1.00 to $1.25, they have sneakingly shrunk the sizes and the portions of the products. There is no value here anymore. And then there is the actual checkout process. Typically only 1 cashier/lane open at least 8 deep in line. There are other employees in the store that could open another lane, but instead avoid eye contact and either go on stocking shelves or make a beeline to managers office and hide.
Again, I get that that the company is failing and will be closing 1,000 stores but it seems like they are not even trying at this point. Definitely a true case of the "Fish rots from the head down." Just go to a normal supermarket or a Walmart. You will pay slightly more but you will get normal sizes and portions and you won't spend 15 minutes waiting in line to give them your money. Run, don't walk away from this poop show of a store.

Favorite Dollar Tree as of today. They always seem to have what I am looking for. Cleaner, neater, and more organized than some of the other Dollar Tree stores I have visited.

I will no longer be going to this dollar tree!!
This store is clean and organized every time I’ve gone there.
Last weekend around 8:00 am and today around the same time, I’ve been checked out by the same employee and felt uncomfortable and discriminated against.
I saw the difference on how she treated me compared to the other customers and today was confirmation that I have been treated differently because of my race.
I tried to say good morning kindly and was ignored, met with ignorance and rudeness, no eye contact and no conversation. Which is fine with me if you treat everyone that way. But the other customers before me and after me that were greeted, spoken to nicely and asked if they found everything they needed.
The manager was super sweet.
Today I went to exchange 3 items, in a previous dollar tree I exchanged I had my receipt taken for their documentation and told that I should not have an issue with returning items without a receipt because they know their items. To me that is strange but okay.
This was not the case with this employee, she had an outrageous attitude that even the person behind mes eye brows raised. It felt like it hurt for her to even address me at all. She stated something under her breath, so I kindly stated sorry I couldn’t hear. She raised her voice and rudely stated that she had to get her manager.
Her manager who was super sweet returned my items, I kindly thanked her and hoped she’d have a nice day and she stated the same. The employee changed her attitude in front of the manager until she left and it was back to rudeness. When I was taking my items to leave she told me to have a nice day like it hurt her to say it.
I rudely stated umm humm you too.
I ignored it the first time but if she’s treating other people like this something has to be said.

Typically a good store. However, today. Saturday I went in around 9:20pm( I checked the hours before I left and it said they were open until 10pm)
When I got there. The cashier said they were closed and were locking up
She was rude and refused to take My 2 items.
If it says 10pm, then stay open until 10.Not leave when you want

Love this dollar tree store itself for how big and well stocked it is. However, today on 1/19/24 @ 13:37 according to my receipt Sales Associate Judith treated me like I wasn't worth even a moment of genuine kindness despite the fact that her coworker who was about to clock out was extremely welcoming and friendly from the moment I said hello to her and asked her a question.
Did not catch the friendly Store Associate's name but she reserves a raise just for how hard working and friendly she is - her register was two over from Judith's if that helps to know who Im referring to.
I bought quite a few items today because as a Mom on a budget with a toddler I love getting seasonal decor, toothbrushes, educational items, crafty stuff & even snacks for him at a good price and I rarely get to enjoy shopping on my own often anymore so it was nice to be able to peruse the aisles and really consider what I wanted to buy.
When I got to the register I was getting tired so I completely "spaced" on getting my items on the conveyor belt while Judith was finishing up with another customer and when I realized it I said "I'm sorry I completely spaced that I could've been doing this!" while I started getting my items up on the belt. For some reason Judith wouldn't acknowledge my existence as a person and refused to speak to me... I got super anxious over it and a line formed behind me right after that as well. I know I should've been watching her scan the items more carefully but her off putting silent attitude towards me had me so anxious that I got distracted by the negative vibe she was giving me.
I thanked her for all three of the bagged items she put together as she went and she continued to ignore me like I was a trash person who wasn't worth her breath. The only words I heard her utter was "79.92" which was the supposed total for my items. I gave her my money and she gave me change. I thanked her again and all I got in response was a very condescending and mean toned "mhmm" with her lips closed, it was like she couldn't be bothered to speak an actual word to me beyond the total which was wrong.
When I got home showing my son's father all the awesome stuff I bought him I noticed one of the dollar tree plus items I bought was missing. That is what led me to check all the items I bought as well as the receipt. I discovered that although I was never charged for or given the extra Dollar Tree Plus item that I wanted to purchase- I was also double charged on 3 separate items. I know how many of what I picked out and brought to that conveyor belt to purchase and although it was only a $3.75 overcharge plus tax (for the 3 items I was charged twice for) - it's a little disappointing that I also lost out on a $5 (plus tax) item that I had intended to purchase and was never charged for or given.
So really Dollar Tree- you lost out on more money to be made.
I'm not even going to ask for my money back on the 3 items that I was double charged for at all- not worth the hassle to me despite the fact that I got ripped off. The bigger issue to me from that whole experience was the absolute rudeness and silent attitude that Sales Associate Judith displayed pretty blatantly to me in front of everyone.
I love that store so I'm not going to let Judith scare me away from being able to provide things my family wants or needs but I absolutely had to come leave a review and explain how horribly she treated me. Because, frankly, being that mean to paying customers who go out of their way to say sorry over something small and thank you repeatedly while you passive aggressively ignore them is so cruel. She has no idea what anyone is going through and I showed her the grace she could've shown me as a person but chose not to for some reason. But the truth of the matter is that Judith either did not pay attention to what she rang up or she intentionally did it because she singled me out and had something against me.
Bottom line is that she's capable of continuing to make the store lose out on money that could be made and she wasn't nice to me.

Today ,Wednesday October 5th you guys close at 8.55 pm. False advertisement your sign says closes at 9pm also your website. Check your camaras. As soon I park my car this older lady goes to the door and locks the door. I go to the door and try to knock the doors and the lady is hiding from customer Another employee calls for her to open door she comes to the door and states by corporate rules says by 8.57 they cannot let no one in the building. Iam outside in the rain trying to buy something for my kids project around 8.55pm. If you guys are closing the store at 8.55pm or 8.57pm please change your sign so customer don't have to be outside in the cold rain nocking at the door. I love this store but is little confusing please fix the open and close signs on the doors and website. Let's fix this problem for your customers and I will fix my review to 5. Thank you.

Everything is a dollar. How can you go wrong. Was looking for Halloween decorations and they filled our needs. Our go to store for holiday decorations and household cleaning goods.

The most unprofessional rude experience. We were in the process of purchasing some items along with a lighter for candles. As we were checking out Julia the cashier notices my daughter and stated I need an Id refusing to process our purchases. Mind you this was not the issue she chose to harass certain customers. I than requested The store manager and the policy regarding purchases of the lighter. We know there’s no laws Pertaining yo purchasing.
While five customer awaited to check out Julia went on the side cubicle to get the store manager later found out her name is Stacy . Stacy came out 15 min later shaking and smelling like alcohol shouting “we do not have store policies”. I do not have information about the district manager . We will follow up to the full extent in processing this discriminatory behavior.

I’ve gone into this store and received rude customer service from the same associate, Sasha twice now. I’m not sure why she can speak to certain customers but then customers of color such as myself don’t get a hello, thank you or a have a good day! Totally unacceptable and next time I’ll be requesting the manager in person

This is a great place to go for all your home and food needs. The employees are very nice and friendly. The store probably has everything you can think of. Love this store and will keep coming back!
