Donielle the manager is a godsend she took her time and spent almost hours trying to help my son get his books and help us try to get a book voucher from financial aid .....cannot thank her enough for her knowledge and dedication to her job and well for being such a beautiful human being and touching the lives of so many that pass through that store .....as far as the store goes it's very nice , clean and easy to navigate around love visiting as I will be for next 4 years at least

I had no problem parking right out front. The meters were easy to understand. You can pay with credit cards OR quarters. If you choose the text receipt, the time is displayed for you. The meters are HEAVILY monitored, so feed the damn meter! The store itself has a good selection. Items are displayed nicely. The prices are average for collegiate apparel. It could have better lighting. The staff has NOT been helpful or friendly. I have visited three times and have had the same experience each time. It has never been busy. I have not yet visited while classes were in session. That may or may not change the parking situation or volume of shoppers.

Seems like things have gone down hill.

I use to remember this place being real friendly, but that was a while ago.

Store associates (probably students) were nice but the manager is all kinds of rude.

There was a mix up I experienced and instead of treating me like a person and possibly reaching a compromise, she just basically told me I'm "nobody special and to find help elsewhere."

I bought a textbook I wasn't sure I needed and when I asked an associate (probably a new hire or student) they said I could return it. So I trusted them. Wasn't till a week later when I brought it back to return it that I realized there was a "Final Sale" stamped on the receipt (cause I literally never took the book out of the bag).

I understand there are policies, but mix ups happen. Like this one. But instead of hearing me out the manager never let me finish my explanation of events When I told her that I would just like a nice conversation and possibly a compromise she said she was "speaking nicely."

I may be a little socially inept, but she was definitely not "nice."

The prices on clothing is a little on the steep side, but the textbook ordering process is streamlined and efficient. Picking up your orders in person seems to be the fastest way to get your books.

I love Wayne state's bookstore when you walk in it's so much room with so many good items for me to buy my daughter is going to be a freshman in August and I couldn't wait I was excited and had to go buy some T-shirts and sweaters this is the best decision for my daughter to go to Wayne State

I've been trying to check out the same books for three days straight now. The website has crashed dozens of times, either with a proxy issue or a "forbidden action." The books are incredibly overpriced and are typically delivered late.

This is the third college I have attended and by far is the worst bookstore I have ever experienced. The website never works and the actual building is never open. The books are overpriced and do not ship in a timely manner.
Due to COVID, it is nearly impossible to return books if you do not live on campus. I have now been charged ridiculous fees and there is no way to contact anyone as the building is “temporarily closed”. As a broke college student this is extremely upsetting. You’d think the university bookstore would support its students.. guess not!!! I am now stuck with textbooks I don’t want and cannot afford. Students are better off going to Amazon, at least they have decent customer service.

Discounts at Barnes and Noble should also apply to Wayne State Barnes and Noble. Planners are $30-$40 dollars and online they are 50% off for (online and in-store purchases) but it doesn’t apply to the “Wayne state” book store. Expensive and ripping off students.
