We offer over 95 bulk teas. Enjoy a hot pot of tea, one of our signature tea lattes, tea lemonades or tea infused smoothies!
This has a creepy basement feel, dark and cold with no comforts. It is in the lower section of the plaza, you enter by going down a few stairs, so there are very few windows and natural light.
I was greeted when I walked in and shown the tea selection of what I narrowed my choices down to. The service was great and helpful.
The herbal tea I ordered was the locally grown Michigan lavender tea. It was extremely bitter and I needed to add a sweetener before I could really drink it.

Nice tea shop with a nice array hot drink menu. Its on lower level so you need to walk down steps. Its nice & quaint. I stopped by after leaving Mocad on a Sunday afternoon & they had a live bad performing folk music. It was good...harmonica and all. Also I tred pistachio latte with honey. Delicious!

Atmosphere is nice and calming. I tried their mushroom latte, and it does taste like a cold brew coffee. The scone was also good, could have been heated up a tad bit more, but overall it was excellent. If you are a coffee drinker you should try out the mushroom latte. I promise you it doesn’t taste like mushrooms.

No ear buds needed! Nice spot for those wanting a place where you can actually read a book in peace without the normal distractions and volume of most coffee/tea spots in the area. Tea is brought to you and steeped properly. Couldn't ask for anything more in a place like this.

One of my favorite small tea places in Metro-Detroit with all of its unique blends you'll get a bang for your buck with every order. Tea is ordered in 18 oz or 20 oz with various latte options as well. With it's extensive tea catalog you'll find flavor profiles you've never encountered! Highly recommend. Someone was looking for stevia and couldn't find it along with no tea snack there when I've come but it's super fun!!!

This is one of the most welcoming places in the whole city.
The tea lattes are killer. Every one of the drinks has its own character and is always made fresh using the best ingredients. Be careful not to drink too much tea. I almost took a nap on the comfy overstaffed couch by the door. It was just so comfortable!

Such a cute, cozy little spot. Perfect for a casual date or working. Employee was super friendly and knowledgeable about all the teas. Loved the ceramic items available for purchase. Only thing was that it was pretty cold inside.

I got into loose leaf tea very hard and heavy at the start of the pandemic. While a few of the mail order places are nice, I'd rather support local shops. I tried visiting this place several times but they only had limited hours for curbside delivery. I found myself in the area today, called and was glad to find them open (Friday, Saturday and Sunday as of now). I picked up a 100g of the Maple Taffy, mostly for my wife as I normally only like maple syrup on my pancakes. I just got finished with my first cup and it was AMAZING! I will definitely find myself visiting again!

I order loose leaf tea through their web site and i love it.
I have little glass mason jars which i fill with the loose leaf tea and keep the jars in a drawer near a zojirushi hot water boiler. I like to use disposable filter bags but you could also use a tea mug. I use a label maker to label the tea jars.

After hearing about this for at least a year I was finally able to go. I was amazed at the taste that I was able to experience. It absolutely made my day when I got a nice tea there.
The variety of tea's that are offered is quite something to behold. Whether it be a fruity evening tea, or a late morning herbal getting you through to the first bit of lunch, you'll find something exceeding your wildest expectations. The proprietor has staffed the location with knowledgeable people who are helpful to anyone's brewing knowledge. Do yourself a favor, and try some of these favorites:
Rhubarb Raspberry
Crème Caramel
Smooth Strawberries and Dream
Dark Chocolate Rooibos

what a wonderful experience. I visited today not really knowing what to expect. the shop is cozy and the customer service was great. there are SO MANY teas to choose from. I felt like I was at Teavana, but without the pretentiousness. the tea expert there walked me through all of the teas that I had on my list, let me smell the teas, and even recommended some other teas based on my needs. I left out spending about 5 times more than I had planned and I have no regrets. the only downsides to this place are that it doesn't appear to be wheelchair accessible, and the parking lot is pretty "off-road" like and I was concerned with entry and exit with my low riding vehicle.

Think Teavanna but local and much much better. It's pretty good. Great service that is very knowledgeable. That being said, it's overpriced for what it is. If you are a tea snob than this may be heaven for you. I love tea but I am not interested in the large variety of teas that they offer. I gave it 4 stars instead of 3 because they are a local business that is steadily improving their overall quality.

The girls were very accommodating to my step dad who had just left hospital. They took his order over the phone and sent me in to get it. I was rather surprised that with selling hot and iced teas they do NOT have lemon. Thought that was a gicen, like sugar and cream at a coffee shop. I'd be a return cst and so will my step dad

SocraTea is a delightful place run by delightful people. My partner started going there and I picked her up a couple times, and even though I wasn't really into tea, I tried some. It was fantastic. Seriously, in short order, one of their green teas (the China Gunpowder) has basically replaced coffee for me, and I feel so much better than I did before. If you like tea, you should really go there. If you don't like tea, you should go anyway and let them try to change your mind.

I absolutely love the layout. I appreciate how spacious it is so I can comfortably do my homework and not have to worry about others trying to sit with me. I passed up another cafe because they only had 4 tables. I also like the height ratio in my chair to the table top. That is extremely important to me in order to be comfortable. I can't stand sitting somewhere and feel that I am below the table. This place is great and it's quite and the atmosphere fits my soul. Some green lives (plants) would be nice, next time I'll try the food.

This tea shop is nestled in the basement of an old building, and boasts a cozy, cheery interior. There are many varieties of tea, and the employees are happy to describe the flavors and let you smell the tea before you pick it. The shop is decorated with the wares of local artists, and there is a variety of seating, whether you want a big table to spread out some work on, a little table for two, or a couple of armchairs. There are even some kid toys to occupy your little ones while you chat with your friends. It's not too busy, and a great place to go read, write, or chat over some tea. I recommend!
