Understaffed and overrated. One guy runs the show while the others watch, literally watch and wait. The coffee was ok. The inside was every indie hipster coffee shop from the early 2000s puked onto the walls. Very disappointed, not worth the drive.

Been to Amity Coffee a few times now. Music is kind of loud but it is at least less common music played off their album collection. My biggest complaint is that I ordered a latte extra hot, and the barista even made a point to mark extra hot on the cup, but when I got it it was lukewarm; so I paid $6 plus a tip for a lukewarm cup of bean juice with milk only to leave 5 minutes later which is all lit took to drink a lukewarm latte; it at least taught me that I am done leaving a tip in advance which seems to be the expected norm these days. I live near Amity Coffee so I was hoping it would be more convenient than Dunn Bros which I love but that is a couple more miles away. But I will drive the extra distance to Dunn Bros because an extra hot latte there lasts me 30-40 minutes because it is actually extra hot and you get more latte for your money compared to Amity Coffee.

A sweet little hole-in-the-wall place that offers a nice list of delicious drinks. Service was friendly and accommodating of my needs, and I loved browsing the beautiful art while I waited. I like that they have the On the Record Music and Arts Magazine, too; any place that supports Duluths underground local art scene gets my full support in return.

Really nice coffee shop! The staff was friendly, the pastries were tasty, and my drink was great. I really liked the ambiance as well --- it felt very cozy --- and I liked the art they had for sale on the walls. It was also cool that they had a bulletin board for local events. Great place to check out.

If you follow me, you know that I go to a locally owned coffee shop anytime I travel. I have been to coffee shops all across the US and this one in East Duluth ranks up there with the best. I got a dirty chi and it was fantastic. The place itself is small but unique and respects all who come.

Good local coffee shop on the east side of Duluth. Strangely, I think this is the only coffee shop down on this end of town. Glad it s there and that they have tasty coffee. It is a pleasant, smaller shop, with a good vibe that goes between being quiet and very full. Parking is on Superior street, which can get a little full with all the other adjacent businesses. Tasty treats, some food, good coffee (from Duluth Coffee) Highly recommended.

Perfect local coffee shop. My visits are always met with mellow vib that we in Duluth love. (Note to fellow walkers: this is on Lake Walk near 44th, by the well stocked Lakeside hardware store, and a friendly post office location). Took my non-coffee drinking son to his first coffee shop experience, and knew Amity was the place to be: great beverages (including chai). Staff are casual and espresso Americano are perfect here. We all know coffee shops were also the most essential workers, and at Amity staff have always been gracious, relaxed and decent about keeping the place tidy. They offer locally roasted coffees, gifts and tasty baked goods. Oh, and really nice the chocolate options!! Son the gear head, was able to really relax and liked the pit stop. Thanks Amity!

Such a cute local coffee place! Family owned and not a cookie cutter atmosphere! Parking looks like it can be a little challenging, but maybe not in the small mixed neighborhood the coffee shop is in. My mocha was delicious! Parking: Small business neighborhood parking seems like it could be right at times

Everything that I ordered here was flavorful. The seating was in short supply because of the number of customers enjoying the coffee shop. The server offered to set up one of the folding tables and chairs that would normally be out front of the establishment on warmer days, in a space inside. That was very thoughtful and unexpected but much appreciated by me.

We love that they play vinyl records at the right volume. We brought friends here the other day and they loved it too. Highly recommend Amity Coffee.

Loved it the first time, returned and was surprised in a not so good way. Didnt seem to comply with some basic cleanliness rules.. The guy making the coffee kept checking his phone and then also served our coffee without the lids - lids were just tossed on the counter top.. How weird. Maybe its because we didnt tip him the first time, but I kind of didnt know it was the requirement? Sorry, nobody throws the lids on the counter tops in other places, kinda gross really especially during COVID when most places are being extra careful. What a way to ruin a great coffee experience from the day earlier! Thanks for explaining your point of view - makes sense about the art on the coffee.. I just didnt see you wipe down the counter so it sent the wrong message, everyone is more cautious during COVID now. Thanks for offering to make it right. The coffee here is delicious regardless!

The only thing close to complain about is that two younger employees always goof off and are a little disruptive, which im not against having a giggle and have a good time at work. what i didnt enjoy was the nice quiet study atmosphere getting interrupted by these girls making fun of the music constantly and screaming the lyrics in a joking way, it made the room feel veryy awkward. but hey maybe it was an off day usually the employees are very respectful.
